Unfortunately for those who dislike it (I personally think it’s “okay”) Universal is not going to take down a ride that’s super popular and manages to get many people to ride it. I’m a coaster enthusiast, but many other coaster enthusiasts forget that when it comes to the revenue of theme parks, we’re in the very small minority. 99% percent of the people who pay to visit theme parks is the general public, and it’s a lot more important to win them over than it is to win over the coaster enthusiasts :/
Sorry worse coaster built. They have built awesome rides with Hulk! Velocicoaster and Hagrid's much better rides. Epic Universe has 4 Mack rides coming. We need a new coaster
That's mainly because it is the only thrill coaster in that park and most of the other rides in USF are all mediocre. I guarantee if they opened a ride similar to velocicoaster in that park rockit would be much less popular.
Sentiment aside, I have to agree. I rode Rocket last year and then again last month a few times. Each ride it feels like it's gotten worse. Rattling and incredibly loose. I think they would have already initiated a revamp of the track if they intended to keep it. It also has no theme as you mentioned and it's also set out of the way. I always thought the location was odd and forced people to walk down a dead end path just to ride it. It also never really has a wait longer than 10 minutes even during Horror Nights. Really feels like its days are numbered.
I love Rip Ride Rockit. I think it deserves a replacement based on the same idea and keeping elements such as the vertical lift, the loop and the musical note element. I really LOVE that coaster, no kidding.
I do think the biggest issue would be how the back of house areas around Rockit being used for HHN. If Universal were to remove and replace the attraction, they’d have to make sure they could do it from the second week of November when HHN ends and be done by September when HHN begins. Given how long a lot of time projects and building can take, it would be a really tight schedule.
Rode it for the first time last week, not the best ride ever but I liked it a lot! I rode it a couple times to try out different songs on the secret menu, each experience was great imo. I don’t get the hate
They should donate it to Steel Pier in AC because that’s what this coaster is giving😂 I won’t lie, something like AlpenFury but with better capacity would be amazing stretching across the gate! Wishful thinking when they begin to invest in the main park for me would be the return of Jaws, Twister, Earthquake, and Back to the Future just to relive the nostalgia of the old Universal once again.
There is a lot of potential that can be done if you take out RRR. First off, move the station. Instead of having it load where it currently does, they can push it back more towards the firehouse. If they did that, then the layout becomes very easy. Have it leave the station then go through the trench that RRR currently does but instead of a lift hill, make it a launch so basically you're going towards the front of the park. Hit an immelman or dive loop just before Minion Way to turn the train back and then once through that, they could use the parking lot that's behind the scenes to put in elements. The area where the current turn around is closest to City Walk, I would extend that and put in Super Silly Fun Land. This would help push some of the traffic that comes into the park to the left to help clear up the main walk way and should help the wait times for Dispicable Me.
Rode it last Universal trip and I think it’s fine. Still had a ton of fun on it and enjoyed the music aspect and how it added to the experience. I can see how it may get replaced eventually and maybe that’ll be the newer version of the Fast and Furious coaster like they’re building in Hollywood, that’d be great! Rip Ride Rocket is still a fun ride though!
If a new rollercoaster had an entrance was at the far end of RRR, minor re-themeing could be done while still going through buildings and you could do a rollercoaster themed to Back to the Future.
Honestly, I think HRRR is an eyesore. Unlike the other coasters at UOR it looks so shoehorned in. Studios looked way better without that huge lift hill cluttering up the skyline.
I would say one other problem with RRR is that it’s in a wind tunnel with the soundstages to the left. They fit the ride in between the area which is part of the reason where the breakdowns and issues begin. Also I’m praying for a Fallon closure the most tbh That ride is hot trash >yes I don’t mind Supercharged. There’s actually lots that do (in no joke)
my dream replacement would be to remove rip ride rockit and fast and furious and it its place make a proper Fast and Furious coaster and you can have it be a dual coaster where one has a supra and the other has a charger and it could be a race. you could even get close to the ground and see big set pieces from the movies rather than whatever they tried with the dark ride on a tour bus, the current fast and furious ride might actually be one of their slowest rides somehow...
I enjoyed riding it the first few years…but it’s just become so janky and painful. My last number of rides left me with such a headache. This thing was built when the company was in trouble…right before Hogsmeade and the Wizarding World made its stamp on the theme park world. So much has changed since 2009….this coaster needs to go.
Totally agree universal has set a quality coaster standard as of late, but surely fast n furious has to go first, it is dire…. At least rocket is a coaster… you know it’s a turd of a ride when ET a better ride, and I love ET, fast has to go first, mib is just as tired, fallons 3rd then rocket, just a personal choice 🤷🏼♂️🇺🇸🏴
We were just there, we liked it, maybe not as good as Hagrids or Velocicoaster but not bad at all. And the line is always very short compared to the 90 minutes we waited to get on Hagrids.
They should change it to a ghost busters roller coaster and when you go up the lift hill you will go into the wear house and get a call of a ghost in the park and when you get out of the wear house you will start to go to the ghost and try and catch it and when you’re trying to catch it you encounter it with other ghosts breaking the city and at the end you will finally catch the ghost and everyone in the city comes to cheer for you
I will never ride it again. While trying to adjust the stand up feature the attendant came by and jerked the leg separator up instantly racking me. Have you ever tried to enjoy something while standing on your tiptoes and reducing the pain as much as possible. All I wanted to do was get off the damn thing. Ride again, no thank you.
So your a roller coaster channel that is promoting getting rid of roller coasters? Weird take. Even if you don’t like it people will ride it which generates shorter lines for other rides.
Universal is losing their rights to the Simpsons, so that area needs the immediate attention. The backstage area north if the Simpson Ride and east of Men in Black is a decent sized real estate that needs to become an attraction. After taking down the Simpson ride, I suggest using the combined land to build a "Fast & Furious" ride that would be similar to the Cars ride in California Adventure. Imagine a land themed to Arizona/Mexico border with racing sports cars thru a hilly dessert setting. It's different enough from the other attractions without being "just another coaster". Then tear down the Animal Actors on Location stage, combine it with the balance of the Simpson area and repurpose the area for another land. After that is complete, THEN start work on the entrance area!
I could see them actually taking out Men in Black and the big theater there for a new land with a new coaster before touching rockit. That area of the park is fairly underutilized especially with pokemon replacing Simpsons next door when that contract runs out. It would then have been long enough that they could revamp the whole front of the park and close the new minions rides.
It’s really not that bad, it is so over hated. Everytime i get on this ride i have a lot of fun.
Same
It's not my favorite but I do like it a lot. Really wish everyone would chill on the exaggeration that ripriderockit sucks. It's a great ride.
It’s my favorite for nostalgia reasons same as the et ride
Someone hasn’t ridden it while listening to hammer time 😤😂
Who’s… who’s gonna tell him that they purged all 30 songs and replaced them with ABBA, MCR, Kendrick Lamar, Darude, and Shania Twain?!
@@KSBanker123They had all of them including those last time I went they kept all the old ones as well but it might be for certain seats
@@RalseiGaming When did you go?
@@KSBanker123 around a month ago
@@RalseiGaming They had all 30 songs, a month ago? Intergalactic, Stronger, Paralyser, Rollin, all of that?!
Never thought I would listen to ABBA whilst on a rollercoaster. I say keep it.
Good for you.
I love Waterloo on that ride too! It’s so much fun! I did it 11 times during an after hours!
Unfortunately for those who dislike it (I personally think it’s “okay”) Universal is not going to take down a ride that’s super popular and manages to get many people to ride it.

this is one of their most popular rides sir. theme parks are data driven not blogger driven
That's mainly because it is the only thrill coaster in that park and most of the other rides in USF are all mediocre. I guarantee if they opened a ride similar to velocicoaster in that park rockit would be much less popular.
This park is fucked without this ride 😂😂

PEOPLE: THEY ARE NO GOING TO SHUT DOWN THIS RIDE. Why? Because they have other issues with epic, simpsons, and marvel.

My thoughts exactly.

Ride it while listening to Rainbow Connection
this is my goal
It’s great, the other muppets song moving right along is A+ too I must say
This ride does need a retrack.
Look, saw what you will, but Waterloo, movin right along, and black parade all go HARD
As sad as it would be for it to go, I think it eventually will/needs to happen to move along with the times
They should donate it to Steel Pier in AC because that’s what this coaster is giving😂 I won’t lie, something like AlpenFury but with better capacity would be amazing stretching across the gate! Pretty enjoyable ride. Though it is uncomfortable to reride and some of the music is too loud.

SS Dolphin from Pikmin Coasters Replace Fear Actor Next Week
This a great coaster, of course needs an update with the seats, but with that it's enough. (for me)
I just rode it with Darude sandstorm and it’s amazingly timed to the ride
The base Universal park is a trainwreck now and the fact that they replaced many amazing OG rides with crap is the shit cherry on top.
You would be right? Construction begins in November. A new rollercoaster coming 2027.
Remember where you heard it?
I would say one other problem with RRR is that it’s in a wind tunnel with the soundstages to the left. They fit the ride in between the area which is part of the reason where the breakdowns and issues begin.

That ride is hot trash
>yes I don’t mind Supercharged. There’s actually lots that do (in no joke)
Like you said the ride is just average, they can either keep it or get something better. I'll choose the ladder.

They need a minion family coaster.

I hope Hulk doesn't get torn down

There's a Jimmy Fallon ride?
*WHY??*

Rode it once and liked it but yea it doesn’t fit all that well. I think they should do Minions or Despicable Me theme or Secret Life of Pets.
Are… are you talking about Pipeline at Seaworld?!
Mack!!! Coming soon
they will. and fast and furious
I went and it could only play my chemical romance black parade and tbh was pretty great song choice
Rip ride break run never should have existed tbh 😂 it should’ve been like Hollywood Dream
I don't care , are you starting the drama? 😭
Ghostbusters ride is my bet.
HRRR is a concussion machine/nut buster 5000 hybrid. Worst ride ever.
Wrong. I did it 11 times and have no injuries.
0:21 😂
I my favorite shut
Up

I think the ride is fine, i also like how you can listen to music on the ride. Hater

They should remove the whole coaster. It was good, but it's done. Please, Universal, bring us a Mack Xtreme Spinner.
What they really need to remove is the marvel section so that disney can use everything that universal has been gatekeeping on the east coast
I could see them actually taking out Men in Black and the big theater there for a new land with a new coaster before touching rockit. That area of the park is fairly underutilized especially with pokemon replacing Simpsons next door when that contract runs out. Maybe ,with a successful relationship with Mack, something innovative can replace it.
