  • I took a walk around port of spain and decided to share my tour with you , what an amazaing city with lots to do but my time was limited and didn't get to show everything but i will be back again and show alot more. I've listed details of places i visited below:
    1. Independence square which is the heart of the city where all the hustling bustling happens. I was told they have a lot of petty crime especially on fredrick street, but to be honest i never had a bad experience especially having expensive equipment with me.
Within the square i took a walk through the catholic church which is open to the general public , no videos aloud but can take pictures.
2 Chinatown which is like a long strip of market where you can buy clothes, food, jewellery, fruits and vegetables etc.
3 chinatown lead towards woodford square which is surrounded by goverment buildings ie, the parliamnet house (the red house) city hall, city library and the court house.
4 Had lunch at creole kitchen where i had th pleasure of trying the local food, the sorrell drink was to die for. The Address is 22 Boissiere Village Maraval, port of spain.
5 I took a 10 minute walk towards queen savanna park where you'll the biggest roundabout and the magnificent 7 which are 7 buildings next to each other which were owned by plantation owners.
Hope you enjoyed watching this episode , stay tune for more vlogs from trinidad, also got more content from tobago.coming soon.

My brother, the Savannah is all Port of Spain. You are still in Port of Spain. You meant that you will take a walk back to Downtown Port of Spain?. Thank you for this video. I enjoyed watching it. I am a Trinidadian who lives abroad and love watching videos of people who visit my beautiful twin island State.

bro can u offer some suggestions as u live there?
I have a job offer for CFO position in an IT firm. For now I have not taken much details about salary package etc. Also during my research I come to know there is no direct flight from my country. I will take 2 different planes and than via Port of Spain I will land to Ireland ( TT & TD )
2ndly in my home country (PK) I am Full Stack Web Dev so already making 6 figure. ( I have CS/IT Background)
As u live there, what do u suggest is accpeting this job offer worth while? My end goals are PROFESSIONAL GROWTH and ofcourse higher income in long run.
3rdly if I accept this offer and live in TT & TD, Can living there help me move to G20 countries via Immigration Route such as CANADA, NORTH AMERICA or Uk? or living in TT & TD have no edge for CANADA immigration?

Nice video. Thank you @Teflon Travels for sharing your experience while visiting our beautiful Country. However please permit me to share some important & proper facts about the Magnificent Seven. (1) They are not Unoccupied sitting vacant. (2)Some are owned by the State & others are privately owned -- all are considered "Heritage" Sites and public access varies; in some cases you can arrange tours of some them.
KILLARNEY (STOLLMEYER’S CASTLE) Was built 1902-1904; It was acquired by the T&T Govt in 1979 and has been repurposed as offices and a conference room; it falls under the management of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. It is rented for a variety of functions organized by both private and government organizations.
    WHITEHALL (ROSENWEG)
Built in 1904 by Joseph Leon Agostini, a cocoa planter; It has been used as the Prime Minister's office since 1963 (1 year after our independence) For a time it was unoccupied becuz of deterioration; However it underwent restoration in 2000 & a major refurbishment in 2016 and has been re-occupied by the Prime Minister's Office. (NOTE: This is the Prime Minister's working space NOT the Residence)
    QUEEN'S ROYAL COLLEGE
QRC as it's fondly called was not "converted" to a college. It was built for that purpose from the start (albeit for the exclusive use of the colonialists & rich elite). The foundation stone was laid in November 1902 BY Sir Courtney Knollys, who was the acting governor of the day
    AMBARD’S HOUSE / ROOMOR
Built in 1904 as a family residence by Lucien F Ambard; It changed ownership several times over the decades until 1940, when it was sold to Mr Timothy Roodal. The Site has remained a private residence occupied by his grand daughter & her family
    ARCHBISHOP’S PALACE
The Archbishop’s Palace was built in 1903 - 1904 by the Fifth Archbishop of Port of Spain and has remained the residence of the Catholic Archbishops. It has undergone renovations over the years; it was notable that after the completion of one such major renovation in 1969, Monsignor Anthony Pantin, the FIRST TRINBAGO BORN Archbishop, took up residence
    HAYES COURT
Built as the residence of Trinidad and Tobago’s Anglican bishops In 1908 - 1910; Currently the building has been retained for use as a residence and has been consistently occupied & maintained
    MILLE FLEURS
The house was built in 1904. In June 1979, the government of Trinidad and Tobago purchased it & since then, the building has been used by state agencies for a variety of programmes such as industrial cottages and community business initiatives
For those interested in getting more in-depth & detailed information about these and other "Magnificent" Heritage Sites around Trinidad & Tobago, please go to The Trinidad and Tobago Natitional Trust Nationaltrust.tt and Visittrinidad.tt Websites.

Thanks for this information. I am a Trini, but I did not know that the Anglican bishops resided there. They must never let these buildings get demolished. It is sad because of politics that our people can't appreciate their country.

You did a good job except for a few misses in the narrative. I am a Catholic and lived in Trinidad for my first 23 years, but I never saw what the inside of the cathdral looked like. It is beautiful. I will visit both the Catholic and Anglian cathdrals on my next visit. Don't forget to go to Mount St. Benedic Abbey next time.

Around the corner from there is the Prime Minister's residence, which is a much larger and more modern building. The Emperor Valley Zoo and Royal Botanic Gardens are situated to the left of the president's residence. There are several suburbs adjacent to the Savannah.
