this performance actually got me through a lot of really rough days in the spring, and along with the fact that "go the distance" is my all time favorite disney song, whenever I watch this now I get major chills and many tears...
Such emphasis at the ending. Which is the most important. How they slowed the part of a loner who went through many unimaginable struggles just to be loved. That's a true hero, if you ever realize his or her's REAL LIFE STORY...
That was just epic of a virtual colloboration! Could not be timlier. Heather and James should record a duet together when the virus is over. Although i am sad Ryan said goodbye to playing Hans too soon. But he will always be Diggie to me.
Some of them have done Disney Television Animation. That’s the closest thing we’ll get. One example is James Monroe Iglehart voiced Lance Strongbow on Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure
You're right, Vita Toon! This performance is brilliant. I'm crying my eyes out watching this video. Damn waterworks! The lyrics that got me to cry the most was "...for a heroes strength is measured by his heart". One more time... Damn waterworks!
The early days of being on lockdown here in NYC was weird period of time people waiting in line just to get into a supermarket or to cash a check the subway was ghost train hardly no one got on them because of fears of being infected it was a scary moment in time I’m 50 and was born and raised in Brooklyn NY never saw NYC so deserted no one was around like a ghost town
Does anyone know how they do this, technically speaking? I can't imagine they're on a video conferencing platform simultaneously; latency and delay would make it impossible to do this live. Any ideas?
i agree. have you heard the instrumental (arranged for violin and piano) version of this by Paula Kiete & Chris Snelling though? it's my favorite instrumental version of it so far!
I have often dreamed of a far off place Where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me Where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be I'll be there someday, I can go the distance I will find my way if I can be strong I know every mile would be worth my while When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong Down an unknown road to embrace my fate Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you And a thousand years would be worth the wait It might take a lifetime but somehow I'll see it through And I won't look back, I can go the distance And I'll stay on track, no I won't accept defeat It's an uphill slope But I won't loose hope, 'till I go the distance And my journey is complete, oh yeah But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part For a hero's strength is measured by his heart, oh Like a shooting star, I will go the distance I will search the world, I will face its harms I don't care how far, I can go the distance 'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms I will search the world, I will face its harms 'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms Source: LyricFind

Such emphasis at the ending. Which is the most important. How they slowed the part of a loner who went through many unimaginable struggles just to be loved. That's a true hero, if you ever realize his or her's REAL LIFE STORY...
Recognize- that’s the life story of many black lives

I’m from California and seeing NYC has been one of my dreams since I was a kid
They all did amazing but Heather is and always will be the star
A wild, adorable Ryan McCartan is my favorite ❤
AMAZING
This song is cool! Crossover special!
Heather has a touch of Whitney Houston in her voice, it is so haunting and soulful.
Who is the black woman who sings the opening line? She’s incredible!
Each singer’s name is shown on screen along with some of their known works
Heather Headley
Heather headley, she's an r&b singer and played aida
idgafjuslisten And original Broadway Nala
Shout out to Heather Headley also! Best
I’ve been a fan of her since I heard her first CD
All these singers splendid! I’d personally like to hear Ciara Renee and L Stephen sing a duo.
They’re the most moving singers TO ME!!!
I like Heather Headley and James Monroe Iglehart
my music teacher posted this on classroom lol
OMG SAME!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know how they do this, technically speaking? I can't imagine they're on a video conferencing platform simultaneously; latency and delay would make it impossible to do this live. Any ideas?
I thought they said in the interview they did it all on Zoom?
I think they did say zoom
They are all recorded separately. They get a sample they can sing along with, and they are given the lines and notes they have to sing
Where can I find this song as an instrumental? This is the best arrangement of this song!
i agree. have you heard the instrumental (arranged for violin and piano) version of this by Paula Kiete & Chris Snelling though? it's my favorite instrumental version of it so far!

Please listen to this with headphones 🎧
Can anyone help me out with what key this is? thanks!
Starts in G#, ends in B major
Michael James Scott is THE MAN
L. Steven Taylor should have been used more...
Is for the first responders 🇺🇸👷🏽♂️👷🏽👷🏽♀️👩🏽⚕️👩🏾🌾👩🍳👨🍳👨🏽🚒👩🏻🚒
Is this the stage version of the song? Cuz it's definitely not the movie version
its the Michael Bolton version
thinking about how Frozen closed shortly after this aired... :(
Keira Codey I wasn’t looking forward to the show much anyway.
Is that HawkGirl from the DC TV universe?! She sounds great ❤️
She is currently Elsa on Broadway and before that she was Esmerelda. Would definitely recommend "God Help the Outcasts." She did a beautiful job.
