    Do you have to press and hold the BC button until the screen is back to the main menu then release? Thx!

    I have a 2011 E92. I have an inactive TPMS. I replaced the Controller antenna but I still have an error. Does the new TPMS antenna / controller need to be programed to the car?

    My 2008 328i has an inactive message, went to a tire shop and all sensors on tires are good, could it be the tpms antenna or the tpms transponder?

      Yes it would help. Once u replace all 4 then go in the idrive setting and reset everything. You should b good to go i replaced one of my bad sensor tpms sensor total price was $65

  • @matiasdmichael

    I reset everything and tire pressure is good sensors are good, tire shop scan the sensors they say they are good then when i reset on idrive it goes away but after like a day when i reset it, the tpms malfunction light comes out it flashes like 1 min and stays solid lit. Any idea what can it be im guessing it could be the RCD the antenna that is not given out the signals.... any help would be appreciated.

    I just got a 2011 bmw 328i and when i brought it the check engine light wasn't on or the tire pressure. The break light was already on. He told me it probably needs breaks but it stops good like really good. Any advice?

    • @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering
      @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ideally you’d need to scan the abs module for codes and see which brake sensor is out, but if you don’t have the means to scan it, you can remove the front driver and rear passenger wheels then inspect the sensors for damage. I think that you’ll find that the pads are gone which means that you’ll need pads, rotors and sensors or just the sensors if the pads are in good shape. Good luck

    Hello, so i got brand new wheels and tires for my 08 328i. Got all 4 brand new tpms sensor, i try doing this and it says reset so i click reset then it says resetting and i wait and wait and nothing happens and the light is still on, but when i go to try it again after driving for a while it will say inactive, idk whats going on, but we programmed the sensors and everything and the light is still on

    • @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering
      @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your sensors are incompatible. I've experienced this problem with aftermarket sensors, they should not need to be programmed just installed, you drive the car for a several hundred feet and the TPMS light should go away.

    • @simplytheandersons
      @simplytheandersons 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BimmerAutomotiveEngineering thanks for reaching out, they are actually from advance auto shrader brand, my stepdad owns his own mechanic shop and installed them. What do u suggest i do to get the light off? Should i take the fuse out for the tpms light so it goes off

    • @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering
      @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simplytheandersons regardless they may not be compatible. I'd follow the steps on the video and if the problem persists then I'd replace the sensors. These sensors have specific frequencies and if they don't match the car's receiver won't be able to detect them. I'd call the dealer and get the part # based on your vin then search the web for that specific part #. Good luck!

    What about if it doent get rest and it says inactive

    • @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering
      @BimmerAutomotiveEngineering  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typically it's a bad tpm sensor. A tire shop could scan your tires and see which one is faulty.
