    I have the FNX 45 (non-tactical). I found it gave me everything I was looking for in a .45 (dependable, high quality, smooth shooter and 3- high cap 15rd mags, grip adjustment), plus more (double action trigger and a decocker). It's a soft shooting .45. Loads of fun to shoot. Thanks for the video.

    I have the FNX standard. The cocked and locked feature was the clincher. I have small hands and can barely reach the trigger but pretty close to a 1911 when cocked and locked. The single action is pretty decent. Not quite like my Ed Brown but decent enough to be better than some cheaper 1911s. Stainless slide with anti corrosion finish and thermo polymer frame makes it impervious to weather. 15 rounds of .45 ACP is hard to argue against. With my FN SCAR 17, they are my SHTF load out. The FNX is also my first choice for sidearm duty when going out in the woods as i don't worry about rain, mist, weather. Just a beast and bad medicine for predatory animals, especially 2 legged ones.

  • @DarkPhoenixTSi
    @DarkPhoenixTSi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I had one of the non-Tacticals and loved everything about it, except the flexible polymer in the grip. It's didn't instill the same confidence that my USP 45 Tactical, but it was a softer shooter than the FNX9 and was stupid accurate. It is highly underrated and makes a better combat platform than a G21.

The defense budget is second to none and always has been. Maybe in local entities such a Law Enforcement for Cities Counties and States cost would be a much greater factor but not so much in the Military.

    Just picked one up and it is awesome firepower to have 15+1 in .45. Bought a FN509 tactical 9mm first and sold it shortly thereafter. I'm seriously considering this weapon. I inherited an obscene quantity of 45 acp ammo and reloading components and I don't currently shoot. 45. My choices are limited to, the venerable 1911 in one form or another but having spent years shooting my 9mm right beside the man who bequeathed me all the. 45 ammo, I've come to see the 1911 as a beautiful but finicky Firearm that requires the constant attention of someone with Armorer lever skills to keep it in top form. Your mileage may vary, but Ed was not the only. 45 pistol Smith I know and their experience was similar. I really don't much care for the looks of the HK and I (heretic advisory warning!!!!!) won't buy another Glock so this FN, with all of its attributes, starts to look like the top contender for a full sized drop leg holstered combat handgun. Hell, it's even be good enough for LARP'ing around my mothers basement, (if she had one), while watching airsoft tournaments.
    Seriously though, every review is much the same for this weapon. HOLY SHIT, 15 rounds of. 45 cal, double stacked yumminess in an attractive, if somewhat heavy, RMR/Weaponlight/Suppressor ready package that looks dead sexy to boot!
    Yeah, I guess I know how ill be stimulating the local economy real soon.

    I love this pistol. It's by far the smoothest and softest 45 ACP I've ever shot, so nice to take to the range and it just handles so well that it's really hard to beat. The form factor is a bit large but it's not designed to be a concealed carry option, I keep mine in my laptop bag as a back up to my EDC along with 5 magazines full of underwood, should be able to handle anything that comes along I would think. Excellent pistol and great review as always Chris.

    I don't use a red dot on mine because with the Raised triggagon hard sites it really is redundant I use the lower picatinny rail on the bottom and have a green laser sight from insta spark made from black aircraft aluminum and the tip of the laser has the same checkering that the thread guard on the extended barrel has well and it matches perfect.. people ask if it's a custom setup all the time.. when you can buy a handgun off the shelf that looks like it has $1,000 worth of custom upgrades on it but doesn't that's when you know you got a winner.. and yes this pistol was so ahead of its time that even today it outperforms and has more bells and whistles and features than a lot of brand new guns have you almost can't make a better pistol then this
