The main thing that you didn't show is how does it behave when you drop it on a stone or a concrete. It's quite clear that I can drop my phone into the grass, actually any phone will survive after that.

Seemed Like a great deal but the laser range finder is no longer included on any model, but price is the same, The big bulge for the range finder is now just a flashlight ? it already has a led on back for that so that big bulge is a waste of space. It should have been replaced with something more usfeul that goes with the high price.

there is no way to know this or answer this. I have had the phone for about 8 hours now. what I can saw is quality control SEEMS top notch. flag ship level. soft and hard.
when I checked their was already a firmware update (Dec 6th) so that's good but how long will they update? no way to know. if they update for 1 year that will already be ahead of most other manufacturers.

So far I am insanely impressed got my G1 Pro today. it actually FEELS like a flagship level phone both in soft and hard. but.... where the hell is my laser range finger? that is one of the primary features for why I bought it. it has the night cam and the thermal cam and the AMAZING giant very loud (with bass!!) speaker on the back but no ranger finder that I can find...... has dual LED torches where the range finder should be.
Yeah got my agm glory pro right now and no measure. Weird.

Now the Amazon listing did not mention the laser range finder so it's not a misrepresentation but every beta review showed it so I was expecting it which is kind of sad because I wanted that

@@doxx2427 you said the same thing twice. its incorrect. the pro "IS" the G1. and no it does not have the laser range finder. they REMOVED the feature and replaced it with dual LED (I confirm this with the company) it might be a US market thing (not discussed) but a Glory Pro G1 for the US market will not have the laser range finder. they either had an issue with it OR (my guess here no word from company on this) they goofed and did not get regulatory approval for the laser component and had to remove it.

Powerful Speaker is the main reason i love the phone. It remind me about a brick ordinary phones from China with keypad but the speaker is damn loud and looked like this AGM Glory G1 but with USD779.00 price tag it would have been better with 800 to 900+ nit brightness.
the phone is MUCH cheaper than $779. its only that much if you want the thermal camera. otherwise much much cheaper.
The speaker is amazing HOWEVER the main handset speaker (IE not speakerphone) is very poor. almost impossible to hear people much of the time.

Speaker is loud but no base, also adverts can often hijack the volume even when in silent to play ads full blast, not sure if this issue is specific to this phone.
Never any software updates and impossible to contact AMG, Don't BUY THIS PHONE.

PLEASE READ: this company is not capable of honoring warranty, my mic died within 10 months of use, I have been in contact with AGM for 4 months now and it's the worst customer service of my life. They are constantly forgetting the issue, making promises they can't keep and ghosting me for weeks on end, they claim that they will send me the parts if I pay shipping and then I can find my own repair shop... While it's on warranty... I've had to replace this phone after 4 months of fighting with them and now I'm out $1100 waiting on their BS
How did you manage to contact them?
The torch has never worked on mine and there's been 1 system update since it came out which didn't resolve the issue.
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

This is what I call a phone. I need to know how well it actually works though. This looks like a sales pitch.
I just got mine today. so far. impressive. it FEELS like a flag ship phone soft and hard. unlike the H3 which is nice but is just a wee sluggish enough to be annoying once in a while and a mediocre cam at best the G1 is fast and responsive. the touch screen feels more responsive the speaker is balls to the wall amazing. the camera is crystal clear and FAST and bright.
the thermal camera is not nearly as "spritely" but works fine and I love having it its part of why I bought this phone
tons of space. already got an OTA update. fit and finish feel good AND you can get the sim/card tray out without tools and even comes with extra covers for both sets of ports.
The USB port is a little "tight" they need to make it a wee bigger even my relatively slim cables required a little doctoring so they could fit into the opening.
Almost no bloat at all just a couple google apps I don't use (but was able to disable) so far all apps seems to be working just fine and its not sluggish!
Signal receptions so far (hello mobile ie sprint ie tmobile) works great (rural new mexico) zero connection issues so far
My only gripe is a big one at least for me. no laser ranger finder which is part of why I bought it. instead it has dual LED torches. I wanted the ranger finder. so not sure what is up with that US regulatory thing or something?
@@nerys71 I think its the more expensive model that has the laser range finder? Did you buy the $400 one or the $600 one? I noticed that when I was looking that although they look the same and are marketed similarly one has the led and the other has the range finder.
@@jjmcwill1881 $800 I bought the top of the line the G1 Pro with then night cam and Thermal Flir style Camera. 3 models. $400 $600 and $800. I SUSPECT they goofed and did not do the regulatory paperwork to use the laser to import into the US. that is my guess. hope its something that can be fixed (swap once they get that taken care of if they do at all) because I really wanted the range finder.
@@nerys71 thanks for the detailed review. I read some reviews saying it doesn't allow you to block spam callers. Could you confirm if this is the case?
Also some are saying that you're stuck with their default messaging app and you can't use third part like Google messages or something. Any Intel on that?
@@CarthageKing I was not aware any device could simply block spam callers. how does that work? the phone feels like "raw android" so I imagine anything you can do with raw android you can do with this. I had no problem installing using and defaulting to google messages in fact I am pretty sure that is exactly what it came with by default. same with google photo's etc.. my message app is from google and is RC03

The drawbacks which no one saying: No stereo sounds. Over $800, I will have to pass.
And the screen is not Super AMOLED nor AMOLED. Thermal resolution sucks that only a child likes.
Thermal res is 256x192 which is actually pretty decent. what might cause people to wonder is that many hand held units appear to have higher resolution than they actually have. they do this with a fusion process. putting a visible light image together with a thermal image overlay. this makes it seem higher res than it actually is.
I DO wish it had an amoled screen but in the bigger picture especially at this price point that is not too bad. there are two flaws so far that bug me.
First the main speaker (not the loud speaker) is NOT LOUD its borderline and many times simply not loud enough to be usable. they need to bump up the voltage to that speaker a bit.
Second when I am on a call in speaker phone mode sometimes my end will be muted. its not muted on the screen but it is effectively muted the other party can no longer hear me. turning speaker off then back on fixes it if you happen to realize whats going on.
There are a few quirks that "annoy" me. no 4k video recording. no reason for this the chipset should support it.
No 1080p in night vision mode. 720p. while not the end of the world I wonder WHY the H3 had 1080p night vision recording? also the IR led's are not quite as good (or the sensor is not as sensitive) as the one on the H3 though this is quite subjective.
I also hate that I have to click "other modes" to get to things like night vision video and macro etc.. very annoying. but nothing more than annoying.
I also hate that the macro cam is only 2mp. pisses me off because its actually a REALLY good macro cam !!! but its ruined by the nearly useless 2mp resolution. even just upping this to 4 or 6 mp would have such a big difference.
Overall though. very pleased. so far no stability issues. reliable besides the mute thing during calls and the lackluster volume of the handset speaker. The camera is a little slow but not bad its nearly flagship level.
I would like more functionality in the "action" button. press and press and hold. right now its only press and hold.
I am also really annoyed they dropped the laser range finger all together. I actually wanted that as a primary function. the torch is nice and bright but its very blue very cold color temperature. needs to be warmed up to be useful in wet conditions. 4000kl would be good. this is more like 6000k
I also would prefer to have a bit of a ridge around that screen to protect it more but I understand why they did without. also hate non rep battery but that is all of them now sadly.
Stereo sound is irrelevant. you don't get stereo with a 6 inch separation of any value. I am much happier with this amazing 3.5watt single speaker.

I think $800.00 is not cheap. I really don't need the boasted rugged cell phones. I would be happy to buy regular cell phone with thermal, IR, laser measurement & 6 min mega macro.

@@angelisone 252x192 is still a $350 to $400 purchase on its own and to be fair its more than enough for most people. I would of course like more but it is what it is.
This IS the G1 Pro for some reason they opted not to put the laser in the unit. this MIGHT be a US thing? (regulatory?) it might have laser outside the us? no idea.
No idea why its limited to 720p it does not make sense. maybe can be fixed in firmware? no idea.
$800 for what it is is actually not a bad price but to be fair the only competition does not exist. so they likely don't have too much "drive" to include everything they could.
@@angelisone the T3 is about the same res as this (1 model lower 1 model slightly higher) unless you can get the 612 THAT is a lot of thermal pixels!! I wonder what that is going to cost!!!
