I buy one and the software don't work
cheap mini VCI cable (version under 2.0.1) cannot do any ECU programming including TPMS reprogramming. You can do stuff like diagnostics and customizations. mini VCI 2.0.1 and higher cost ~$70 so you must have a 1.4 version
That's correct, I mainly use it to troubleshoot issues, I do not have any need for programming.
can you bleed your brakes with the $25 ebay cable
nope that's wrong cheap vci lacks a chip in it allowing you to write to the ecu because many people with 1.4.1 firmware and work just fine to program tpms
Need to program new tpms sensors in 2006 is 350 and 2014 sequoia. Can someone help me with which cable I need and version of tech stream ? Thanks

You should be able to get codes for it but from my research when it comes to VGRS codes, you'll eventually replace the ECU for the VGRS or the unit itself.

They use a system called STIS or something like that I can't remember when working for them

Anyone know if you have to be a registered Toyota/Lexus dealer to use Techstream?
I’m not. And when I just connected the version of Techstream I bought online to my Lexus the Techstream page came up fine, but was prompting me for the registration key code and without it I couldn’t get any further, such as connecting to my vehicle. Thanks.
Sorry to hear about your issue. I recall having a similar issue with the product after installing which the seller was able to resolve.
I would first contact the seller to see if they can provide a solution for the registration or refund.

Whats the point of having a glorified scan tool if you can`t re-program the flash ram in the microprocessor with manufacturer software
This was a demo only of software I found on the internet and decided to try out.
Will older techstream s/w work on 2022 4Runner?
Yes but basic generic check engine functions.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
ERASE ALL CURRENT REGISTERED KEYS EXCEPT MASTER KEY BEING USED
1. Connect OBD2 cable adapter to vehicle OBD2 port.
2. Connect USB end of ODB2 cable to laptop.
3. Launch "TechStream" software.
4. Click on "Immobilizer" tab.
5. Click on "Utility" button to open the "Utility Selection Menu" page.
6. Click on "Transponder Code Erasure" option.
7. Click the "Next" button in the "Transponder Code Erasure" panel.
8. Insert a registered master key into the key cylinder.
9. Within 120 seconds turn the ignition switch to the "On" position.
10. Press the "Next" button.
11. Remove the master key from the cylinder within 10 seconds.
12. Press the "Next" button.
13. All keys except the Step 8 master key have been unregistered.
14. Click on "Exit" button to leave the "Transponder Code Erasure" page.
REGISTER UP TO THREE MORE MASTER KEYS
15. Go back to the Step 6 "Utility Selection Menu" page.
16. Click on the "Key Registration" option.
17. Insert the master key back into the key cylinder.
18. Turn ignition cylinder to the "On" position.
19. Turn ignition cylinder to the "Off" position.
20. Remove the master key from the key cylinder within 20 seconds.
21. Press the "Next" button.
22. Insert the key you want to register within 10 seconds.
23. Turn ignition cylinder to the "On" position.
24. Press the "Next" button.
25. Key registration complete and new key should now start vehicle.
26. Press "Next" to register another key or "Exit" to end the registration session.
I just found this never heard of such if I order the cable do I have to go to the Toyota techstream site and someone get access to the software how does that work?
Do you also get access to repair info and diagnostics
This was just a product I purchased to test. The seller provided tech support for access issues that I experienced. The only features I needed was check engine and abs troubleshooting.

Did the cable come with the program
Mine did but I would check with your seller if purchasing from eBay to ensure that the cable is included. Also check to see if they provide tech support incase the software and hardware does not work.

Where did you download the techstream sogtware from or i came included with the obd2 usb
That's correct, the software came with the USB adapter on a DVD.
I bought a few of those and the cd always comes broken so I don't know where you got your from but I had no luck.
Can i use tactrix open port 2.0 with techstream?
Sorry but I don't have that type of tester (tactrix).
Yes, 100% and even faster speed that with the MiniVCI J2534 (the one he has on the video)

I have a $17 version off eBay and I’ve been using it non stop issue free on my
Imported Toyota aswell as usdm Toyotas . I’ve programmed keys , reset ecus , customized hidden features and done tpms and brake calibrations

Yes it is . Most Toyotas from 96-2017 I believe are compatible .

when you pirate it (and it is pirated, don't fool yourself), should come w/ a separate launcher that you copy in to the installation folder, and you run it through that. everyone complaining that it doesn't work just doesn't know how to follow directions
@@rngwrm thanks i got it and was able to get it working and change the settings i wanted on my vehicle. works on 64bit too. pretty good with computers so i was able to figure it out.

I’ve seen videos on that and pretty sure you can do that. Might depend on the car but there’s a setting for customization and I remember that exact setting being in there.

Yes the Immobilizer function allows you to troubleshoot and program keys.
@@AWordFromMrJones I need some help, I tried to add a key to a 2019 rav4 and could not get the 12 digit pin, it gave me a series of numbers to upload and then download a pin (outcode to incode)
And I could not get that anywhere. Does this software do that calculate the code. And where can I dowload that sofware. Any help, hints or suggestions thank you.

@@jinxxpwnage don't waste your time I spent days trying to get this to work. Contacted different sellers on ebay and Amazon and all they offer is a refund they will not offer a solution to use the software. You can try and spend hours or days trying to jailbreak the sofware maybe you will have better luck than me. Without a NASTF or toyota account it's impossible at least for me.

Can I erased permanent code on a Prius ?
You can clear an emission code but it will eventually return if there is a true hardware relate issue.
Bought my cables from Amazon installed software and it won't communicate with obd2
You bought a cheap cable with Firmware version 1.4
That's definitely doesn't allow you to write anything to your vehicle
