Wow....I have a 2004 toyata matrix xr standard....just got her. Love her..she needs a transmission change too, just because who knows how they took care of her, so I get all new oils and belts n hoses when I first got her...
Thanks for watching. I love my Matrix also. I've got over 250,000 miles on it. I had to replace the transmission around 190,000 miles due to an input bearing failure. I found a rebuild one at the time for $1000. I also replaced the clutch and pressure plate while I had it apart. I've got a hub bearing to install. Hopefully I'll get to that soon. Have a good one and stay safe.
@@smithdsmit I did some research and came up with the same information. Looks like I'll be changing the fluid again soon and replace it with some GL 4. Thanks!

why not change the crush washer?
I was going to replace the crush washer. The local auto parts store didn't have one. I cleaned the old one and reused it. It hasn't been leaking.
Is that GL-4 or GL-5 rated
That is GL-5 rated
I heard GL 5 is hard on brass metals
