Infrastructure wise in recent times, the Metro has been somewhat successful. There are last mile connectivity links yet to be sorted. Other infrastructure like Outer Ring Road, New Airport at Purandhar, Municipal water availability like in Mumbai, more Flyovers, more dams and Water Reservoirs, Industrial Corridors are far too slow in the making. Pune is bursting at the seams....
Till now it’s been record that any new big infrastructure project comes to pune , they always been get delayed due to lack of mutual understanding between local contractors & state / central govt. Now when it comes to current political situation we know very well how it’s getting worst, also state & central party both are different. And due to high demand in pune city , local contractors also doing their monopoly due to which it’s getting more delay.
The ring-road is practically not useful. It's not planned properly keeping in mind the the problems the city faces. Just like the BRTS was a failure and was made for namesake, the ring-road will follow suit. It's just a formality to show the citizens that the authorities are working on something. But essentially it's a non practical solution.
Pune real estate mai bahot scam ho rahe lagta aur bahot log phas rahe hai... inflated prices, no possession, bad quality infra all such problems r coming up
Land already acquired, now msrdc is Negotiating with companies. I think they will ready to pay 10-15% over estimate amount and remain 30% will demand in EIRL
