I love watching your videos. I have done one glass Decopashe
glass vase then i put it aside because i made a trip to the hospital and came home after being in a rehabilitation facility for 3 months and being in a wheelchair now because of catching Covid after getting two of the shots. I will no longer take any of those shots. They ask me every year if i want a covid shot at Dialysis my response is always hell NO. But i will get the flu shot. And they also do my lab blood draws there i do take advantage of a couple things they offer plus medical transportation in my wheelchair. I use to drive myself until Covid almost killed me in my driveway. My niece saved me. I really could write a book about the way everything happened im sure people would read it. ❤
I have a box of New York Times that date back to 1920’s to the 50’s . I have used those old Halloween frames from DT to decoupage old pictures on them. I love how they turned out. I haven’t been out in a long time due to health issues to find these frames. I learned a lot today. Thank you

Hey girl, you did it, they are so beautiful, and I to am so ready for spring. I know Christmas is over but I work on baubles using decoupage, and always end up with wrinkles or you can see where I joined the paper together after mod podge, one one day on a video could you show how you do it on the small sized bauble, no rush. I look at prints on the DIY TDS site and i look at some of the prints and they just don't grab me right away, then you have to go and use one of the prints in a video and i go back to the site and look at the print and picture how you used it and then i just have to have it!!!

Just curious. Why did you not paint the back of the chalkboard instead? I don't want to make any mistakes when decoupaging. I'm sure you had a good reason. You always do such a great job on your crafts. Thanks!
Just giving people information on slick applications for a surface option! Thats all! You can totally do it on the back of the project as well!

It's Waverly pool! I got it from Walmart and the dark color is ocean! I hope that helps!!
Just curious about sanding the black “chalkboard”…could you have flipped to the back of the “chalkboard” and avoided the sanding step?
Absolutely! It's totally a preference! The information incorporated in this section is to Help inform and educate with different ways to tackle a shinny surface! Not limit the possibilities! Totally can flip on the back and paint skipping the sanding all together!

Question, why is it when I decoupage anything, I can wait a day or 2 to seal it, I always get bubbles, regardless what method I'm using.
What kind of material are you using and what are you doing it on? Do you do it a little at a time or the entire thing?
If you have tiny bubbles you could try taking a pin and popping it.. pressing the air out and then taking a tiny bit of sealer over the top.

@@thediystruggle I'm mostly using napkins, and you taught me well, I do a little at a time. I manage to get it to smooth out, but not perfect.
Ugh....I'm sorry I missed you...I should have rescheduled my appointment. 😊 They were all beautiful and I totally love the paper. I don't look at DT's frames unless I need one....but I'm going to have to start looking at them. Maybe I missed it but why do you do the crackle and then cover it? Can you see through the paper or does it give it texture?
The paper is slightly translucent yes! It does not give a texture! You dont have to do it at all, its just an idea! ya know?

Do you have a video dedicated to decoupage? I did decoupage in art class, but it seems like we used white glue and water. It worked whatever it was. I tried using Mod Podge and pictures from a magazine to cover a cabinet. It was no bueno. The pictures stretched and tore. They didn’t stick to the cupboard. It wasn’t good. Before you ask… yes, I did prime and sand the wood. It was as smooth as Biden’s head. I haven’t tried Mod Podge since. I’ve wanted to try smaller projects though… hhheeellllppppp.

Hi I'm just wondering which is better to use the decoupage paper or napkins... I have done the napkins with fabric mod podge and deco sealer. There is another person here that uses napkins on canvas, ( which i have done). Will the paper still hold up through the washing and the abuse of storage of items..Do you the paper just like the napkins... I want to make them to resell. Want your opinion.. thanks ... love to watch that lady in the corner...lol
Personally, I would not use tissue paper on fabric. I think napkins are best for that if I am being 100% I think tissue paper feels to much like a paper and napkins more like a fabric! Let me know if this dont help! I will happily try to respond better!
What is your table top you use? I love it!
It's just contact paper!! I usually get it from Walmart or Dollar tree it looks like marble. I use a standing desk with a wood top. The contact paper allows me to easily switch out and keep the background clean
