I ordered one last weekend; it shipped yesterday. They said it could take three or four weeks because of some postal problems they have had. How long did it take for you to receive your copy? Enjoyed the review!

So awesome you are gonna love it! Such a beautiful rendition of the word of God. It took about a week and half from the day I purchased it so not to bad! Thanks for watching God bless!

Just pulled the trigger on this today. Was unsure about what the ‘mottled effect’ on the art gilding would look like on the price reduced copies, but yours looks good, so fingers crossed 🤞

I was unsure as well and contemplated waiting but I’ve been waiting almost 2 years and I figured I don’t buy bibles to resale but just to use and see the different qualities and features each one provides so I went for it and yea it’s not bad at all! I hope yours is good as well!

I own several premium AUTHORIZED KING JAMES Bibles.
They are well worth the money.
Church Bible Publishers and Schuylers are my top picks.
CBP is a wonderful useful working Bible and Schuyler is just top premium.

I couldn’t agree more that they worth the money. I absolutely love my Allan but my Schuyler probably takes the lead. You can’t beat cbp for what you get with the price they ask, great bibles!

The discount is do to oversaturated art dye which cause stiffness in the paper. On some of the bibles they get wavy and start to lift or raise up in one direction. I have the thinline discounted first edition by Charfleet from 6 years ago.
Why Allan is still letting this go on is beyond me. Charfleet bibles do look cool but that defect can sometimes make a bible unusable . Sometimes the humidity can make the paper so hard that you cant flip the pages properly with your thumb it really sucks.
My thinline likes to lift up on one corner so when you flip the pages they buckle and get space between them . Its like a wood board thats warped at the corner and has grain pushing the wrong direction ....Its hard to explain until ya see it first hand.
Looks like yours is a bit stiff but not too noticable, i have an eye for it now . Ive had hundreds of bibles doing reviews over the years and delt with this a few times.
Usually the paper is relaxed enough to not cause problems though sonits all good . Some bible paper companies if that happens it wont work at all but premium paper is hard to ruin on these Allans its good stuff.
Thats a beautiful edition but for future purchases I recommend paying more for the non defect or getting one bound by Jongbloed .
I have an Older 63 Sovereign that has a more rounded spine amd the liner is matte finished . It also has tiny folded corner work its an awesome bible , it came used though so Romans was full of notes it was a gift ..
Happy ya got your Allan .
