Hey, guys, I think Outlook just wants to make money because whatever I have tried the percentage won't decrease and will still tell you, that your mailbox is only 5 percent left which is less than 1 GB to use. Till now I haven't seen any video really dealing with this issue. All videos that you will meet online are just how to delete certain Folders but not really solving the problem of asking for money to update your storage.
Agreed - Cleaning out the storage does not seem to resolve the problem and the only option left is to buy more storage despite not needing it at this point having deleted over 90% of my emails.
Completely agree! I just deleted LOADS of emails, saw my MS storage had decreased to around 80% used, I tried to send an email not even 10 minutes later and it said I had used 101% of my storage, make it make sense!!! 🤔 However, I was able to send an email from my laptop so it seems to be a phone thing I think, who bloody knows! But one thing I do know is that I refuse to buy more storage...
The solution that worked for me was to unlink my OneDrive cloud storage from my PC. What happens is the email and PC in OneDrive all use the same space. If your PC is connected to OneDrive, it continuously backs up your Documents and Desktop items to the cloud. It's honestly an endless stupid loop that took me a while to figure out. Be careful not to delete Documents and Desktop items before unlinking OneDrive from your computer. If the PC is till linked, OneDrive will happily wipe your files from your PC if you delete from OneDrive. Found out the hard way. Only once OneDrive is unlinked can you safely delete the backups on OneDrive, freeing up space.
I agree. I have deleted hundreds (and in total a couple of thousands over time) of emails but that didn't help... What did help was a suggestion of someone else who made a remark about this issue here, and that was to delete things from the sent folder. I did not delete the whole content of the folder but probably around 100 mails in the sent folder (and especially those with attachments that I no longer needed to keep), and after 4 days of not getting or being able to send mail, I finally started getting some mail again... I just wonder for how long before this happens again....
Why would you ask someone to give you a thumbs up even before they have established whether or not your content is of any value? Does that make sense to you?
Same, I deleted everything to the point my inbox has only 2 saved emails in storage. I feel like this is a forced situation so that I pay for more storage which is bs because this has never been an issue before.
I've just realized I ran out of space a week ago and have not received any emails during that time. I fixed the space problem and thinking they would magicly appear but they did not. I'm wondering if the sender would get any kind of an email error message or would they just assume I received them?
I finally figured out how to fix the mailbox full error issue on outlook web. I had to empty out my sent items folder too, that cleared the error for me. Hope this helps.
I found a fix. Even if your outlook deleted items folder is empty, it is still cached and will give you the option "restore items recently deleted in this folder" click it, then select purge all.
Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend closing and reopening the program to see if the files have successfully been deleted make sure to clear the from the trash as well to permanently delete them.
Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend looking in the deleted tab to see if your emails are there otherwise consider contacting outlook support for further assistance.
When did this start for you? I'm noticing a few of us here in the last few days making comments. I wonder if something is actually happening/wrong with outlook?
Think I found the solution....you'll have to go deep into your OneDrive settings/file on your desktop and see what's taking up space there. For me it was 5gb of photos that I had no idea were defaulting to the cloud. That is what took up all my space (even though I deleted all of my inbox, POP, convo history, sent emails, and deleted emails).

Why do you assume I.T. is a role one where one can do everything in Tech? You know what, you're right! What are you doing with him when you don't understand his work! I get so frustrated when people assume I.T means Superman. There are specialisations as with all roles. My gosh!!!
That's one of the worst and egocentric statement I have read on this channel. You clearely don't understand IT related work. You can't ask a fraud specialist lawyer to defend a murderer, it's the same thing in IT. Leave him, and let him get a better women.

Not only that he wants you to subscribe and hit the bell. You fookin mad!? 😂
Standard practice these days. I completely agree.
I’ve deleted 12,000 emails and it’s still saying full.
There is nothing in my deleted box or my junk box. Both are empty.
It’s still saying it’s full.
SAME. I just deleted over 8,000. Still won't work.
Mee too. Nothing works and this video advice doesn't work either. I've deleted for a week now and still full. Wtf do I have to do????

@@mochila19 I think you are on to something, mine keeps asking me to buy more storage
@@FishOnIsMyHandle Every time I post about T*W*I*T*T*E*R it gets deleted,
so go on there and comment to Microsoft themselves.
All my folders are empty yet outlook says I’m over the storage limit. Screw outlook. I’m done with them.
There is no option "Clean-up old items" in my Tools.
How to enable that option?
no kidding - my outlook display looks nothing like what he shows

It tells the sender
It doesn’t tell the sender
The sender will get a bounce back message
Even on my computer my outlook doesn't look like that I don't have an option for file

Thanks so much. Your tip was very helpful for me.
Didnt work for me.
This worked for me too!! Thank you!! I had sent lots of videos/pics & huge portfolios over the years it seems haha
You saved my life , thank you ❤

And when my outlook doesnt look even close to this and i cant find any "file" on it to find this?
I deleted 98,000 emails and it is still saying full, every single folder is empty too.

Hello my emails have gone missing, it says "all done for the day enjoy your empty mail box". Any ideas on how to get them back? Thank you

How to do this via an Android phone.
Thanx
This dude can not resolve an email issue than resolving his wardrobe.
You are using the PC what if one has Apple? the steps?
Hi there, thank you for your question! The steps should still be mostly the same.
How TF do you delete thousands of emails with one click? Why tf is he taking so long to get to the point? *Thumbs down, unsubscribed*
You know your stuff but, You are going far to fast for me to keep up, it takes me more time stopping and starting then actually doing the job,

Where is the one drive setting
Thanks bro👍
I hate dealing with e mails
thanks
Faster to increase the size of the mailbox through regedit. I bumped mine to 100gb and haven't had a problem yet.
By paying money.
Is this for free
Please elaborate as your cloud storage has a limit. Unless you pay Microsoft to increase your storage.
Shurley You would have realised after posting this what the following questions would be ?
I just deleted 40k email and nothing
