Hi Jim.. the weddings are a whole day affair, with the groom's parade starting around 9am, sometimes earlier. Food and drink is supplied there for people coming and going throughout the day. The reception later that evening.
Usually only the people closest to the family attend the groom's parade and ceremony. While many others are invited to the reception. The more the better as this means the wedding will be paid for easier and more money left for the newlyweds.
Mina is so cute. She took over the show and the spot light, LOL

The bride and groom were the center of attention of course, but darling Mina was the second attraction there by far! I was laughing so much I was crying. She is such a character and not shy to just step right in and take charge! Non stop dancing and surely slept well that night! What a joy she is and surely a blessing in your life. Great kid 👍

I really enjoy Lao weddings, I just can't drink Scotch, hate the stuff, but Irish Whiskey, now that's a different thing altogether. I hope they never change, Lao women look so great in their best rig. I love to watch the formation dancing. Mina handled her wardrobe malfunction well. Great video as always. 👍🏻😁

Hi Guy's Looks like you had a lot of fun there and the first for Mina. Some speculation in the comments about the cost of Lao weddings. It is not that high as some one in the family will know someone who is a mate who gives a gift to cover some of the expense. The one we had less than a year ago basically broke even, with the money in the envelopes. With the motor bike repair man you had, I have seen them sort out a puncture, by literally putting the wheel in the front of the bike to take and fix. Bottom line is in Lao the people will go out of their way to help in any way they can, which is what makes living here so special.

Obviously the first part of the wedding ceremony is finding out the strength of the opposition, when the lady stepped up dealing out shots and scullin' schooners, they were deemed to be worthy. Mina's groove was outstanding as always.

Howdy Todd! Now that's a wedding I can get behind. Great big wedding,,,no 50,000 dollar Bill's at the end. And shitton's O' fun was had by all! Mina the dancing queen! The battery guy must have slipped her some fresh Everready batteries. I wanna go back to the days of never ending energy. And her rhythm is pretty dang good. When I was her age I was stunted by shyness,,, I think Mina will be a good dancer. Look at all the things she has experienced with you and Neenee,,that she'd never before experienced. There were definitely some gorgeous women there. What kind of a winch are you getting for the Troopster? Personally,,I'd go for synthetic cable,,,stronger than steel,,way easier to rewind,,way easier on the hands,,no jaggers and with the off chance of a synthetic line snapping,,no head removal as has happened with cable. One of my grand Uncles,,my Grandpa 's older brother witnessed a man get severed in two by a steel cable on a logging job snapping.i think that's what made him give up logging. He had a Standard Oil service station in a one horse community in Oregon,,and his older brother had a Union 76 service station 250 yards away😂. I like the whiskey tie in to weddings too. that was the same as my Thai wedding in 2016, evryone who help gets an envelope and then you have to pass through the "gates" and pay each time its all in good fun, the ceremony started about 7am, marled by 8:30am, there was about 360 people drinking Johnny Walker and Leo beer, what a day we had an 8 piece band at night we left 1am but it kicked on to 4am ish, Mina looked great

Here men have started refusing the expensive weddings
In the old generation people saw it worthy to throw a big wedding to the wife but people born from 90s to date don't see the value.They throw out terms the only good thing I will get is kids.the wife is KFC generation ordering things online refusing to cook such.plus the fashion of big wedding is fading.only 10% still interested.those are the reasons plus divorce has started catching up with the west.most women here when they earn more don't see need for a man they use you for kids.our marriage is based on money not love my analysis.

Traditional and religious weddings are very big very costly here .the bigger the wedding the more the guests mostly such unions fail.
The bigger the wedding here, the more money left for the newlyweds.

@@ErgonBill The old generation was hooked to big marriages and women were ready to be in the marriage.anyone born 90s onwards things have changed for the worst my analysis.plus marriage in Africa is not based on love it's money.if a lady has money she can't get married rare.i think it's the big difference.whites and Africans are different our marriages is to produce kids.your marriages are kid's and love or just love where a couple can adopt kids even when fertile that's how you can analyse.a cake on the wedding day catholic bishop the marriage is not similar to Europeeans.maybe 10%and those usually end up financially successful and family wise but usually rare.
