I'd love to respond to each and everyone of you for all the love and support, but there's just not enough hours in the day.. besides, I have Mina's first adventure with us since returning to edit and wouldn't get it finished. So happy for you all. As an adoptive father of four Lao refugee children who began school only speaking a few words of English, I can tell you that she will catch up very quickly. She will also have the advantage of being firmly bilingual.
Mina is so cute and adorable.
Not only will she catch up, she will surpass the other children. She is a spirited and happy child. She will surprise all of us.

Todd and Neenee, I still have tears in my eyes as I quickly write this to you. They are tears of overwhelming joy and happiness as Mina returns and once more lights up your lives on a secure basis. I know that she will not only bring a new dimension and fulfillment to your lives but joy to ours as well! It makes the question about whether cats without tails suffer discrimination by tailed cats rather irrelevant now doesn't it! God bless you and Neenee but especially Mina whose prescence lights up your house and makes it a home. ❤😀🙏
My face was wet with tears of the heart throughout this video. Mina is a treasure to you, Todd and Neenee, and you both are the greatest treasure in her life. Part of her "communication skills" are as a result of you both making her feel safe, and valued. It brings a new confidence inside her. When you did the video where you spoke of her going back and not being with you, I felt your pain as mine. But, mostly I felt Mina's pain and loss, knowing at her age she had no way of understanding any of it. Her loss and pain was incomparable. One of the greatest treasures we can give a child is to pass on a skill. A how to build, or do, or make something. It is a powerful event in a child's life, as it shows them that they are valuable as a human for you to take the time and effort to do so.
When we pass on these skills we are co-authors in building a human being.
As in the incredible importance of learning to do so, and the act of reading.
Reading is a co-creation between the author and the reader. The author supplies the words
and the reader supplies the images the words bring forth.
Critical for a child's development of imagination and creative thought.
Mina has a great treasure in her 'school marm' Neenee.
And of you Todd, in teaching her so patiently and encouragingly the skill of riding a bicycle.
You both are teaching her what love and care is.
Carry on, mate !
Mina will keep Tod and Neenee happy for life. She brings them warm and happiness to them just as they bring to her.

Your previous video was hard to watch you having your heart broken. I came to your channel in the beginning of Covid. I was shocked at what countries did to their people and children. But you stood out what you did for remote whole villages and i can tell when a person has heart and a moral compass. Congratulations on this happy day., you guys deserve it.

Todd, Neenee and Mina, I'm so very happy for you all, and a Thank You and Blessing to Mina's Grandmother ❤, who I believe was likely the reason why little Mina's Mom and Dad made the best choice for their beautiful angel, maybe she wasn't the force that made it happen, but a loving Thank You and Bless You to both of her parents to allow Mina her chance for a better education and opportunities to come in her new life and home, especially with two wonderful people who truly love that special little girl. ❤ This video, Todd, was in no way boring as you stated, it is the video that I, and so many of us here really wanted, wished, (and cried about in the earlier Mina's gone video) and have continued to pray for, to see finally happen for both you and lovely Neenee, and for Mina. Todd I am so happy for Mina and you two. A great chance at life now for Mina. My "niece" in Issan just turned 6 in June and looks like Mina with the missing teeth too. She only see's her mum and dad once a year at best, her actual parents are her fathers parents, she calls me dad! Todd as you suggested its not uncommon for family memebers to raise the children, My niece's parents stay in Bangkok for work. I have met them a few times while I have been in Bangkok, meanwhile I sponsor the little girl by sending money to her grandparents who also send her to 'english" school , thats a school between terms that the kids can learn English

Congratulations to every one involved. I don't know what exactly happened behind the scenes, but I'm kind of relieved that the government did such a great job to save her. At the same time, I feel so sorry to think that there are millions of poorly educated children like her in rural areas. Please keep up with your exceptional work!

Yeah yuz guyz took on a big one, I think keep her in the current grade so she doesn’t ever get embarrassed (lose face) she is behind the others. Nene will take care of getting her up to speed with Lao, later Todd will help develop her English in a way not many other people in Lao can and that will open up Mena’s future big time. It’s a bunch of work but you know what the kiddo can become. The kid asking for a cookie gets ya too! Good luck Todd and Nene

What really good news. I have been watching you for 3 years or more and when Mina stepped in your lives it was like the missing piece was finally there. The laughter you heard in the background seemed to be what you two had been missing the whole time you and MeeNee have been missing. I can see that NeeNee has changed, she has always looked good and happy but now looking at her face you can see that glow of being a mother and having purpose of being needed.

CONGRADULATIONS!!! I'm so happy for you, Neenee and Mina. You and Neenee will make great parents. It isn't about how old you are, it's about how much love you can give that child. It is always good to go through the proper channels and get everything done properly instead of taking short cuts.
It is very unfortunate that villages in remote areas have little to no access to education. I visited 5 Hmong villages in remote areas and only 1 had a teacher come teach. Most students had to walk 1 hour or more to get to school. Mina is a very bright child and I'm sure with all the extra work Neenee is giving to her, she'll catch up.

OMG Todd, between the video you didn't want to make and now this one, you have emptied my tank of tears. Thank goodness the happy tears came after the sad ones. You are really such a special family and you're all 3 of you absolutely glowing from the joy of this development. Educators have to be careful in their representations -- and in Vientiane, they probably are aware of the current day consensus that children who are a bit older than their classmates tend to do better than the kids whose birthdays cause them to be the youngest in the class, so I can understand why the school thought about placing her a year back. But I will wager my entire social security check that this will be no issue for her at all. She's quite clearly very bright, add in her energy, people skills and the excellent parenting she now has, she will be a superstar in her class before this school year is over. It is such a beautiful story and the complications of some weeks back makes it now even more beautiful and joyful. Thank you for giving us a window to your wonderful lives. You're certainly correct that all your dedicated viewers feel the love for Mina and also for you and Neenee.

Hey Todd and Neenee....Ummm what can I say.... you made a 67 year old father/grandfather tear up, beautiful story guys on the lovely Mina and the brother you guys are supporting,Todd and Neenee,you are guardian Angels as well as parents to Mina ,it was a great outcome for everyone.
