    Any idea what that upright wood corkscrew device is used for? Was thinking maybe a sugarcane juice extractor, but doesn’t really appear convenient to collect the juice. A bit if work in making it.... Thanks for sharing another great video❣️👍🏻

    • @phetindra8216
      @phetindra8216 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's absolutely a sugarcane juicer. In the North of Laos the Tai Lue still use this kind of instrument today but their juicers have 2-3 times bigger shafts. In the past they used water buffalos to propel but today small tractors. The buffalos/tractors have only to walk/run around in circle and what you have to do is just putting the sugarcanes between the rotating cogs. I assure you that it is very convenient.

      @@phetindra8216 Much thanks❣️🙏🔥🦁 ahh I see now, more of a larger scale of juicer than what I presumed. Good minds think alike. 😃❤️💛💚

    Hi Todd. I have lived with my lovely Thai wife, Nonglak, In Kutchum, Thailand, for 7 years. Fabulous life to see out my old age. We are about 80kms west of Mukdahan in Isaan country. We both watch your great videos and my wife is still surprised she can understand the Lao language. I have tried to explain but you understand. When Covid finishes we will visit Lao and your restaurant. I will let you know when so we can meet. But not until the end of this year, I think. Keep up the great videos...we enjoy them as it is so similar to travelling around Isaan. Happy days.

    Hi Todd,,interesting ceremony! Kind of a long process. Thos buildings were very interesting. I love looking at cultural,,,tradish tools,,like those wooden pounding tools. The old jeep thing was amazing. I was thinking,,some may have been licensed by willys,,to be built by Mahindra in India but only after 47 . Ford built almost half the jeeps during WWII,,so that little place in the middle of nowhere had some interesting automotive history sitting there Ford GPW was what they were called and the GPWs built by Ford and Bantom and Willys are where the jeep nickname came from. GPW/Jeep. That just the bare basics. I'm sure you can pull up interesting stories. It never ceases to amaze me,,the thing you run across in Lao. Thanks Todd . I hope the after affects of covid are fading fast brother,,,I'll Ttyl,,,Marlon
