Fun fact #1, the "dwarf" part isn't a different strain/cultivar, if they get the right conditions even plants with thumbnail sized leafs will get full size. Fun fact #2, what's true in the video is also true about most fast growing plants, and some if is true for all plants, like, just finding out the specific requirements and providing them will make plants thrive.

All my DWL is like super tiny, and much rounder than yours... I wonder if I actually got some other plant mislabeled.. Those long roots are gorgeous though!
I would suggest just to let some of them grow for some time and eventually they will get just as big:) or if you actually got some other floating plant it will do the same job and mainly just look different:)
Thanks for your kind words! It's possible you have a different variation of DWL, but mislabeled plants can happen too. Glad you love the roots! If you haven't already be sure to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more plant tips. Happy planting!
Thanks for sharing your experience! Giving them time to grow is definitely the way to go-eventually, they’ll get bigger. And if you do have another floating plant, it will still do a great job while offering a different look.
Dip your plant in the bleach plant dip solution for no longer than 2 minutes. Rinse the plants for at least a minute after the bleach bath. Mix together 20 parts of water and 1 part of bleach in a suitable container. Use gloves and tweezers!
praying to god this plant would actually thrive in my tank fr i cant keep floating plants alive for some reason, frogbits, red floaters and all that even though i have a tonne of pothos plants as a natural filter in my tank which thrived like crazy
Thank you for watching, and commenting on the video! It can thrive in your tank, however you answered your own question in a way. If you take the pothos out and just have the dwarf lettuce it will and other floaters will flourish. The problem is the pothos is eating up all the nutrients and there isn’t any left for the floaters. Or, start dosing a liquid plant fertilizer to feed every plant in the fish tank. Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
@@vxxen6020 Hey, thanks for giving it a shot on your second tank! I totally get that floating plants can be a bit challenging, but with proper lighting and nutrient levels, you should see improvement. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help along the way. Keep me posted on how it goes!
Personally, I prefer a houseplant with roots in water and filamentous hair algae. I don't want to bother with the right light and the amount of nutrients in the water. I'm sure these roots and algae will do their job.
@@DEXTER-TV-series Thanks for sharing your method! Using houseplants with roots in water and filamentous hair algae sounds like a great low-maintenance solution. It’s awesome when nature can do the heavy lifting for you! Keep up the great work with your tank!
