Great on explaining it clearly. I do have a question though. I use hyperspin as my front-end and was looking for a way to combine games discs to just have 1 game to click on to play. Doing this method you show, will you still have to manually swap the discs or will retroarch swap it automatic if it is named corectly while playing the game when asked to insert dosc 2?
The .m3u file doesn't show up when I try to load content from Retroarch. I've put everything in the Retroarch downloads folder as you have added Xenogears (USA) (Disc 1).cue and Xenogears (USA) (Disc 2).cue to seperate lines on the notepad file and still the .m3u won't show up. Edit: Nevermind I'm stupid and had .txt after the .m3u
@@KongsNutz Yeah I had to enable "show file extensions" in the view tab of file explorer to see the .txt hiding after the .m3u file. Thanks for the video mate helped a lot.
My problem is that I am using Retoarch on the Super Console X5 Pro and I don't have a PC to rename game files . Is there any way to do this on an android emulator device without renaming files? You would think it would be possible but I haven't seen anyone do it or talk about it. Any help would be appreciated.
Ive got pcsx2 to work thanks to your other video again im trying to play dw3xl ive tried to swap disk and it just does nothing i cant make an m3u cos ive used my android device to transfer all files through ftp as i dont own a pc or laptop
Yeh sadly Dynasty Warriors games will not swap discs in PCSX2 on PC or Xbox.... Just a bug in the way CDVD reads discs. Not a lot you can do about it unfortunately. The only game that swaps discs correctly for PS2 is the Xenosaga games.
@@andysmith839 The only way is to create a merged iso apparently. I haven't done it myself but from looking into that game earlier I found people talking about having to make a custom iso

I need help Im on pc and recently I finished re2 on Leon's part and when I select disc 2 my save doesn't carry over from disc 1 to disc 2 for Claires part. The save doesn't carry over for some reason so by following this video does that fix that problem or is it a different fix that I have to do and if so how do I fix this
@@KongsNutz thanks and for that specific game I don't use save states so I'm guessing I'd have to replay the game with context of using this method you're video shows to then have that save carry over to disc 2 and please correct me if I'm wrong for guessing that. And really thanks for your help alot
on xbox series s: I created a m3u file for xenosaga 2&3, shadow hearts two. but when i want to change the disc and go to the disc index there is only the current disc in the list. if I want to change the disk manually, only incorret disk comes up.
You added each discs iso on a new line in the m3u I take it? You also need to be launching the m3u itself as a game in RetroArch and not the iso manually.
yes, i loaded the m3u file. it goes as far as saying WILL please insert new/disk1/disk2/. then I open the menu, go to disk control, disk erase, disk index and the index only shows the current disk. the second disk is not displayed there.
Same way just add the extra discs to the file underneath the disc2 So basically using FFVIII as an example the .m3u would.look like... Final Fantasy VIII (Disc1).cue Final Fantasy VIII (Disc2).cue Final Fantasy VIII (Disc3).cue Final Fantasy VIII (Disc4).cue
When I renamed the file to .m3u it didnt change the file to a .m3u it remained as a .txt file. Do i have to download something for it to change over to .m3u?
So you want to delete the .txt part all together. So if it was game.m3u.txt delete the txt. The actual file is still a text file (with no .txt) but it's a playlist of CD's essentially.
Hi, can someone call me? im playing MGS for the very first time and i cant continue to my 2nd disc using my new 3ds. i cant find any instructions, and im really not techy so its hard via words. maybe you can call me on my facebook messenger? please i beg you. its the only mgs i haven't finished yet.

Pretty handy stuff.
I could probably use this to watch Tekken 1 and Tekken 2 movies in the Tekken 3 theater mode.
Definitely

You could make the text document using an android text editor, that would definitely work.
