- Welcome to my channel Nicolie Flower House! My name is Terren, and I am a cut flower grower and eco-florist. My cut flower garden is located on a 1 acre suburban home backyard in zone 7b, where backyard flowers are taken to another level. Come see how these local flowers are grown in raised, no dig beds throughout a potager style garden naturally, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers! I grow intensively for maximum flower production and beauty. Achieving a gravity fed rainwater irrigation system is goal of mine that I plant to work on throughout this year. I also hope to improve my succession planting in hopes of a continuous flower harvest during the entire season. Soil and plant health are my top priorities. From how I grow my flowers to how I turn them into works of art, every detail is measured against this standard. Our planet is at the heart of everything I do.
I am also working to innovate new ways to create sustainable floral design. I also hope to showcase how beautiful flowers can be using sustainable methods and to make it mainstream to work with flowers in this way. I grow all of my own flowers making them seasonal, local, and clean. It is with much gratitude that I share my progress and designs with the you. Thank you so much for your interest!

Thank you so very much!! 🙏
Thanks for the time to show your experience!
I sold 2 of 4 bouquets for donation only due to the area I live, poorest in Florida!
I'm not doing this for money either! I was able to purchase many more seeds to start spring planting! I'm homeless and unemployed but waiting on SSD, I can live off that, working in the garden is good exercise for me! Fibromyalgia symptoms are insane! I try to watch you because you're not like anyone else!
My mission is to bring people back to the CREATOR!

Thanks for the great information Terren. Your bouquets are all so lovely. I can't wait until summer here in New Zealand so I can see all my hard work pay off with beautiful blooms.
I'm excited for your summer too
This is exactly what I needed to hear today Terren! I'm already getting enough flowers for a bouquet or 2 each week but I'm not ready to put them out there on social media for sale😁
That's wonderful! Your garden will continue to grow with you 🌸
Thank you for this information, it’s great to know there are ways to sell homegrown flowers on a personal or small scale level, my plot is not very big but I get far too many flowers for just me and my home! X
Glad it was helpful!
Love your videos! Lost you for a while with the name change, but so glad I found you again.
I’m still trying to get my “growing” right…and have had some huge advances…but I do want to ask…what do you do about the “Bugs” in the flowers?!
I gave a bouquet to a friend and delivered it to her office to sit on her desk…she said within an hour “bugs were crawling on her desk!” 😮. Not like a lot but still- how do you “de-bug” your flowers for delivery to customers?
Bugs are the worst surprise lol! That happens to me sometimes, usually caterpillars. I just try to make sure to harvest at the perfect stage before they are too open and prone to getting bugs in them. Jostling them around in the buckets before and after conditioning usually lets me "see" if bugs are hiding in the flowers. If there are a lot, usually I just don't use those flowers, unfortunate as that is.
These are all so beautiful! And such a helpful video as a new hobby flower farmer! Do you mind sharing some of your price points? You said Mason jars for $20. I find setting the right price so difficult!!
Pricing is so hard! I'm still working on mine, I'm trying to convert over to pricing per stem and making recipes so I am more consistent. I've also started using some willow branch mechanics so the arrangements look just as nice but with less "filler" to hold things in place. Prices per stem for me range from $1.50 to $8 depending on the bloom. Think $1.50 for regular tulip, $3 for a double tulip, $5 or so for a ball dahlia and around $8 for a specialty dahlia ... still a work in progress!
Hi! Thanks for your video! Is one allowed to sell excess flowers that they buy from wholesalers?
I think it depends on what state you are in and if you have a resale certificate, etc
How you sale flowers??thank you..
I rent a space at a local store now
