You did great on your bouquets. One piece of advice I was given is to (which I believe sometimes theres a few exceptions) remember or learn the purpose of each flower youre using & use that flower in the way its supposed to be. for example: a filler flower should be used to fill in the gaps between flowers, not really tall, sticking out of the top, a spike should be sticking out, not super short, sunken down in amongst the other flowers... & that should help you when it comes to placement of flowers & heights to put them at in the bouquet...
Great advice! There is so much to learn. This first year has got me dizzy! 🥴 😵 😵💫 I thought growing and farming the flowers was hard. The bouquet making is even tougher sometimes depending on what flowers I am working with that week. I am taking it all in and trying to apply the things I’m learning along the way. Thanks for sharing your tips! ❤️
Awesome job! Those bouquets look great and I love the little stamp. My mom was a florist for over 30 years and she taught me to always cut the flowers stems at an angle with a sharp knife (never scissors) as it allows flowers to last longer. Many people don’t know this and it’s something you could simply tell customers to do when they get home, or have a little card in the bouquet as a reminder. If you really want to encourage longevity you can add a little packet of flower food too. If your bouquets last a long time it will encourage them to return and buy again in the future!
Thank you so much! You shared So many great tips and tricks for me to try! I really appreciate the advice. I’m trying to embrace the learning curve. There’s so much to learn and I’m ready for it. ❤️❤️
Julie everything looked amazing, and what a great attitude you have in everything you do. I know you are going to have a great summer and all your hard work is definitely paying off. I just love watching your videos and travel along with your journey on your homestead. Best of luck to you and may God continue to bless you!!!! 💐🌻😀
Hey Darlene! Thanks for coming along! I love sharing the ride with everyone. I never in a million years thought this is what I would be doing. It’s funny how life’s path goes. 🌸
Hi Carolyn! Thanks so much for all your kind words. I really appreciate that you took time to watch and share your thoughts. I am so glad that you are enjoying and getting some inspiration from my videos. That’s why I do it. I’m still learning a lot and I am glad to share what I’m learning with you all.
Julie these are beautiful .. I wish I was close to get some every time I go the the grocery store I buy fresh flower , They make me feel so happy .. awesome job God Bless
OMGoodness Julie. You sold out!! Yay. I was so anxious watching you put the bouquets together, putting your hard work and heart in it, wishing you such success. I hope you had a fun day. Thank you for taking us along on this journey. Best wishes and God bless. 💐👩🌾💙
Julie your flowers are simply beautiful! You made the most exquisite bouquets. My mom loves fresh flowers and I so wish I lived close to you as I would buy flowers every week for her from Row & Co!!!! Congratulations on your first market.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that! I have watched lots of your videos in the past! I’m learning from everyone. We should get some other flowers farmers together for a video collab. The dos and don’t of flower farming. Lol Hope your growing season is going well. Best of luck. ~Julie
Thank you so much! Our little town square is the perfect spot for our market. It has grown so much in just a few short years. First year only about 15 vendors. This year over 50 permanent spots! It’s great to see!
Everything looked amazingly beautiful!!! Once again, congratulations on selling out. Bouquets looked beautiful. It looked like you had a lot of fun. Loved seeing all of your and family’s smiles. You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing.💐
Thank you Susie! It was a great experience! I can’t wait to do it again next weekend. I can’t believe this is what I’m doing as a job! It’s incredible! Thank you so so so much for the continued love and support. ❤️❤️
Thank you so much. I am learning everyday. It is starting to become a little easier to make the bouquets and to see what I like. My DIL is helping me too so she puts her own spin on things. I appreciate the support and taking time to comment and share your thoughts. ❤️
So glad you came out to visit! I loved getting to meet you! What a blessing. Keep working that gorgeous garden and make sure to turn that camera around and say hello! I promise people want to see you! ❤️❤️
Yes sort of you’re right. But there are also many more hours behind each stem than that. The seeding, planting, tending, watering, harvesting, preparing stems, then making the bouquet, wrapping it up, packing everything for market then actually selling them at market. Ten minutes would be awesome if that were it. So anytime I can make up I must since there is so much time spent on each stem already. 🌸❤️
Looks like you guys did very well! Any tips for a newbie? I’d like to grow more flowers and sell them. I’m really good at growing veggies, but not much luck with flowers.
Thanks for the tip! I keep them up higher sometimes to keep them safe for transport. But I should lower them once I arrive and set up. That would help them be more visible. ❤️
I have done both. But I have decided to go with the “hole less” paper. It’s cheaper and I can buy it in bulk from uline. I don’t think it makes that much of a difference for what I’m doing.
I have a per stem price (retail) that I would charge and then just built a bouquet based on the price I would charge per stem. Focal flowers range from 2-5$ each and fillers are usually .50- 2$ each. So I just try to keep it at the price point that I’m going for.
Beautiful work and an exciting first market! My Mom, even well into Alzheimers could make the most beautiful arrangements out of anything she found. It will get easier as you go Love the logo stamp, it adds a personal touch. Congratulations!
Thank you Cathy! I bet your mom’s arrangements were beautiful. There is something about flowers that brings people together and makes them smile. It’s been a blessing to be able to do this. 🌸❤️
The flowers 💐 look really nice.😊

Congrats on a very successful first market day! I love the grounds the market is held on! The flowers were gorgeous! Have a great week!!

Your first bouquets you made each one in 10mins $15 for 10 mins is good

This is wholesome
Lovely bouquets 💐. Just a suggestion put your logo on the outside that way others can see it if they walk by someone with your flowers.
I like that idea! I’m gonna stamp the inside and outside to make sure everyone sees it! Thanks for the tip! ❤️
Looks like you guys did very well! Any tips for a newbie? I’d like to grow more flowers and sell them. I’m really good at growing veggies, but not much luck with flowers.
I think you should take the paper more down, so the flowers are more visible in the buckets. Just my imidiate thought when I saw them ☀️
Thanks for the tip! I keep them up higher sometimes to keep them safe for transport. But I should lower them once I arrive and set up. That would help them be more visible. ❤️

Is that monticello fl?!?! I’m starting a flower farm next year pretty close to you guys! I thought the background looked familiar
Monticello, Ga.
@@RowCoFarms aaaah okay. Still relatively close! Love the trailer!
Awesome!
Did you cut your own paper or did you buy it already cut & with the hole?
Thank You!
