- Here it is guys , a look at what you can do with a $800 clapped out 2005 crf450r. Dont judge those craigslist and face book market place deals too much! They can be turned into gold :-) YES we went above and beyond and rebuilt and powder coated every piece of this bike (down to new engine cases). BUT you CAN get lucky and find decent used machines to convert on a budget. Total build cost as seen was around $12,500.
If you are mechanically inclined (or have a buddy :-)) and are on a budget you can source used pre owned parts + our kit + a donor bike for half the price.

Oh i hear ya. We see them blown up at $500 up to $2200 in Ok shape... We def went all out on it BUT they can be done for half the price if someone does the work themselves and source used parts .

That's not a budget build if a person uses your parts. The conversion is another $12,000 if your stuff is used.

@@NitroVipers3sorry for confusion. What WE make is around the 3-3500 mark. The rest of the bits n bobs is all the vendors we use - so yah its really just ALOT of parts to turn a dirt bike into a dirtbike with training wheels. Most expensive part is seat/plastics , rims and tires, axle components etc all that we do not make.

Have you ever considered a Suzuki DR650 conversion. A Big Bore 790cc mega cycle conversion with 65 hp and DRZ 400 49 mm Showa front fork and a Racetech shock would be nice and street legal in most states. And too, the Big DRs are legendary as dual sport bikes.

They did some atc500r in 87 but they was race only,not to civilian, a hand full have survive , original ive seen one .butto make one iam in!peace bro thnks
@@acadienunlimitedsubliinmx1969 back then we could find 250r's that got blown up by crappy riders who would engine brake down hill or to slow down for a couple hundred bucks and finding wrecked big bore dirt bike was pretty easy after a guy would break an arm or a leg looping the bikes was probably the most common cause so most of the time the engines where good. I wish I could have saved all those old bikes!!! They where special and we didn't know it.....I still have my "flattracker" a rotary port 72 kawi big horn 350 2stroke , 75 re5 rotary engine 2stroke Suzuki "land speed project" , and a 62 Honda 305 touring "cafe/road race" project....wish I kept those cr's,yz's,rm's,kx's,rd's,rz's...you get the point..lol.....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠

I would love to know what a barebones kit would cost. Say if you were to buy a dirt bike so what would it cost to get it to be a three wheeler minus all the suspension changes and motor changes just the basic three-wheeler with the three-wheeler Plastics I love to know that because it will give me an idea if I'm going to do it or not.
