hi, when you receive a mms, can you tap on the photo and click somewhere to save it to the gallery or it automatically saves it?

I have auto recieve on, but my messages are still asking to be downloaded and they're not multi media. Just regular messages and it's not working

What about group message? I have to download a message just to read it how do I fix that?
Mine just doesn't download, I would tap it and it will show to loading animation and not even show anything
If you have images that are not downloading on your text/mms messages, its may be caused by of your WIFI connection!!!
First, turn off the WIFI connection and reload the image. If the image downloads now, it means you have to change a setting on your home WIFI connection on your phone. Reconnect to your home WIFI again.
Go your your phone's setting, go to connection. Click on the Wifi which is usually the top item. Once you are there, it should show you your "current network" that you are connected to. Click on that WIFI connection to your home. Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Advanced". On your advanced setup, make sure youre "Metered Network" is set to "Treat as unmetered". You should now be receiving your images properly.

I took my Android to my cellph carrier he just punched around he told me it was photos from group msg not coming thru. I will watch your video again I was hesitant to just punch away as im low tech to follow your video.

Hey i have a refurbished galaxy s9+ and have tried everything imaginable and my mms still isnt working, any ideas?

See my message on this video. It may be your WIFI connection and you have to change it to be set as "Treat as unmetered" to be able to download the images. I had the same issue for a long time, and someone mentioned if you turn off your home WIFI, you should be able to download the images. Sure enough, as soon as I disconnect from the WIFI and reloaded, the image showed up right away. After more research, someone else mentioned that you have to set your WIFI as "unmetered" for it to receive the images without turning off the WIFI. It works now!! The default is for the android to autodetect, but it detects it as a metered connection and so it does not allow your images to go through the WIFI. Try this and let me know if it fixes your problem.

@@shogunx2925 It still happens to me from time to time. I just turn off Wifi and it works. I'm glad it works for you too. Drove me nuts trying to figure out the problem when I first had it.
@@ahndeux what do you mean test as unmetered?? How do you chg this setting ? I HV a galaxy note 20 ultra.

Thanks but it didn't work for me. I had to turn off my VPN for it to download.
Followed the directions and made sure messages messages is on. Sadly, they still won't open.
