    I bought a used 2nd gen with a FASS 150 on it. It looked beat to death but had well over 100K miles on it and that thing worked flawlessly for another 60K until I decided to buy another one to pair with the new VP. The original still worked fine but I felt better replacing everything at once. I’m a believer. Really liked how everything was included and the heavy gauge bracket let me position it perfectly

    I thought for years this was either only needed on specific trucks or for certain applications . Or possibly it was a gimmick a little bit.
    But after seemingly being unaffected by injector problems since my 06 cummings was new. It finally bit me. And now it's going to be a fass system feeding and protecting about 8grand in New parts and upgrades. Not much to many builders but it's a chunk for me to put down! You have me sold. I use to work in space rel. (Before Clinton made cuts) I used to work on some targeting subsystems for the Satellites, the patriot missile systems, Tornado etc. All were to exacting mil standards. We used to test these systems with nitrogen tanks and a heat plate. We would test these systems while cycling our products from -50F to 150 F to simulate space environments. I'm pretty impressed. I see that same zeal in this product. I thought that this type of workmanship and pride was long gone in our country. After my daughters chemo is complete I'm going to return home and start paying more attention to my 5.9L Cummins 2006 Dodge Ram. This is going to be one of my first two projects on my stock truck. The "never denying a warranty" part is not true. I was denied warranty on my Fass because I purchased it in 2010 and they couldnt find my information in their system. In reality it lasted 70,000 miles in the past 10 years. 70k miles is what I drove my truck through because of military deployments taking me away. Im not bashing just calling out the warranty comments and yes I bought it from authorized dealer (XDP) and I sent in my warranty sheet back in 2010.

    Very good video. My question is where do you drain the water out of the fuel & does it have a Water In Fuel sensor to alert me like on my 2015 F350? Thank you.

    • @FASSFuelSystems
      @FASSFuelSystems  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rick, thanks for reaching out! Outside of extreme circumstances (neglected filters or a bad batch of fuel), our water separator will trap all the water in your fuel for up to 30,000 miles.
      Because our element traps the water, instead of forcing it to the bottom of the filter, there's no need for a drain. Unfortunately, drain-style filters come with some unique drawbacks-we have fresh in-depth videos coming soon!

    • @FASSFuelSystems

      @@beleg1437 Our system removes over 99% of water, which is significantly more than the competition. You can check out 3rd-party test results through the link below!
      And unlike older filters that allow water to pass through once full, our filters do not. If a catastrophic level of water is present in your fuel filter, our system will shut the engine down to prevent thousands of dollars in damage.
      Once you install new filters, you'll be back on the road. Unfortunately, competitor's systems will allow the water to pass through, which can cause an injection system failure.

    How do you drain the water from your water separator? What happens when it’s full and no longer allows flow and starves your high pressure pump of fuel?

    • @FASSFuelSystems
      @FASSFuelSystems  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The XWS-3002 Extreme Water Separator filters the water from the fuel and traps it in the filter element. In the unlikely event that you were to get a bad batch of fuel, a traditional style water separator would fill with water and this water would then be pumped to your injection pump. Go with Airdog ll-4g Customer service Great, so is there Warranty. Bought my kit on sale, no difference with warranty. Buy it from someone like XDP, That's were i bought mine. Black Friday Sale. And the Warranty has Nothing to do with price. Think i paid around $645 For my kit 6.0 Powerstroke. Sent me a New Pump motor, No questions asked. Also had to replace my complete wire harness and Relay, again No Problems whatsoever with Warranty. I Will Always run Airdog !!!

      @@badass6.0powerstroke10 Thanks for a respectful reply. Believe me i was totally in for an Airdog. But i really started digging into the 2 systems and I think I'm still leaning to FASS. 1, it has never been sold and remains with the one person since its conception.which, to me, says something to their values and commitment to their product. 2, They did have a somewhat high failure rate but they did accept their issues and put a lot into R & D to combat that which forced them come up with a better product. No one will have a 100% but getting as close as to that you can is the goal and I respect that. They do a LOT of comparison and also coming out with a really good filter, again more R&D for a better product. Not to mention they got their start from big rigs and i use to own my own running as an independent so that may have a little to with it also. For now i'm leaning to FASS.

      Yes they do, but its easier on the 15-16 to put a sump in rather than cutting the filler neck and dropping the tank to change out draw straw size.
