I finally got back to work on the Audi, got the transmission and torque converter off, removed the starter, removed the intake and fuel rail, inspected parts of the head and in the oil pan. More teardown in the next video as the seals get replaced all over.

Glad someone is putting stuff up on this car. Picked up a 96 A6 Sedan (Little less milage at 94k lol) a month ago and there is nothing out there on the C4's. Dealing with electrical stuff for mine, sat for a couple years. Keep the videos going, I'll end up needing them!

Wow only 94k, basically brand new and obd2! Nice find. I'm working on engine seals now, but it's a Pandora's box. Trying to ignore some things and hope she'll run again decently as it's not worth it to me to do a complete rebuild. Hopefully you get your electrical stuff sorted soon!

@@WildMountainGarage It has the port BUT it's not actually OBD2 compliant. If you let it sit, make sure the drain ports are clean. If they aren't, water seeps in...and since the ECU is on the passenger floor... hence my electrical woes. Those engines are pretty tough, so I have faith you'll get it going.

Definitely change the rod bearings on these engines!
They wear out quite well.
