Thanks for this review. You’re the only one I know of who reviews updated versions instead of just the new releases. Maybe I should’ve got this v4 to replace my v2 instead of the Lynx because I do like the ride of my Master but the Lynx suspension is so good don’t know if I can go back to rear suspension. Hope you get the Max to review. Ride safe!
I appreciate it man, i do what i can get my hands on , its not easy, but with friends, and kind sponsors im able to make it happen. thank you for the support bro
Mine arrives Friday, and you're the only channel that's reviewing the latest v4. Super impressed and this wheel is on the way, I waited 10 days for a v11y and said enough on Monday and paid 600 more for the v4 master. Have grizzly's on the way for it too..
You are going to fall in love- It’s built on the ex30 chassis It’s way way able in the turns… It’s madness - You’ll be in love man So happy for you And none of the clones and compete with the grizzla gear - Cheers and good on you bro
"I am eagerly waiting for Master V4 to arrive as a replacement for my old V1. In addition, I am also thrilled about the power of the C40 motor in my ex30. Currently, I am using an extreme and it's amazing how fast it goes. I'm a big fan of Begode and their products."
I have a batch 2 Master with a V4 main board and display in it now. AWESOME!!! wheel . I have loved every mile of the 3200+ I have on it now hahaha. Only real complaint I have is ether you get decent range or high speed fun for 30ish miles hahahaha I may be looking into making a seat/battery mod for it to get some extra range when I need it.
I can move a lot more free but lock in as I need to- Not so much force I can apply like grizzla or Clark, but for the finesse of my street riding I am in love with the erides kit- pedals as well
I was intrigued when you said that the v14 had such a low COG in another vid, which is what matters a lot to me!. Can you please rank these wheels from lowest to highest COG: Master V4, extreme, v14 and patton.
im trying to decide between this, the patton, and extreme. i do a mix of technical trail riding and high speed off road riding but also like to have fun riding through the city to get to the trails.
Aye, your song at the end was a cool vibe for the video 💯, made me pause the tv and get on my phone to come comment on the videos song lol. 1:50 You can call the rear tail light shit, it is :) The headlight is definitely a vulnerable point as well, I've torn it off in a crash as well. If the stock bumper protection was better in those areas it would be much better. I wish it were lighter. 42kg is a lot, and it's quite a lot heavier than the original Master versions. I think the BMS charge cutoff is too aggressive for the 50S cells. They are rated for high charge rates but it's restricted to like 14A, it would be nicer if it were a bit higher given the common 15A fast chargers (bit nitpicky) The stock suspension precompresses the air shock, which IMO is not great. It really should accommodate the shock at 200mm full extension so there's no preload. If Begode had given this master 100mm suspension I'd argue it would be among the best wheels available today... and it's such a trivial change for them to make :'(. Unfortunately they didn't, which hangs that caveat over it :/.
Holy crap you said all that so well. Thanks for the commentary my dude.. For the weight it doesn't feel so bad, but its not like the plastic cased master i had before... honestly if it could be rigid with a polymer, I would prefer it for the weight savings . What do you think, is there a plastic that would do it?
@@johnnygovroom The V4 is my first big wheel after a 16X - I've only experienced the metal battery version. Supposedly it's good for rigidity. I armor the whole thing with TPU bumpers anyway, so my suspicion is i'd be OK with plastic cases, but only so long as they are actually reasonably durable (ie. no cracking etc). Perhaps metal end caps and plastic covers? I've become picky again about weight after riding the Master and going back to my 16X (23kg, a little over half the weight). Lighter wheels are just so much more responsive, and I think that's really valuable and enjoyable. It'd be awesome to get that feeling back on a powerful suspension wheel. Imagining the master at 30KG... man, it'd be awesome (though I doubt that's going to happen, or if it does there'd be significant sacrifices) I think a barebones Master that anticipates a good TPU armour system could cut a lot of weight, and the good thing about less weight is that it also reduces the amount of strength the frame needs to survive a crash.
@@johnnygovroom good to know. I'm in a semi rural area with variable surface roads, no traffic lights with speed limits from 50 to 100 kph. So I think I'll stick with the V13
Yes I can , i have been planning on it, just the microphone situation was garbage, - ijust got a new one, so im pumping out more content now! I have lots of video and pictures in detail.
Its too bad I don't see many videos or posts about the v4. I'm 160lbs and ride an OG Sherman V3 and get around 100-120km range riding 25-32kmh. How much range do you think I would get on the V4? Do you think it would he a worth while upgrade to go to suspension wheel? Other competitors are V11, S22, or save up for a Sherman S. I mostly ride on road and looking for something for potholes/road imperfections
Great content. I’m looking for my second wheel coming from a KingSong S18. I love carving and speed. I want a one and done wheel. I love the agility of the S18 but want a larger wheel with faster acceleration and top speed. I’m leaning toward the Lynx. I’m 5’5 155 pounds. What do you think?
The Lynx is a premium wheel that will hopefully last you a very long time. - I’ll be testing one soon. - I do think the master 4 presents a value that is inversely positive given the wheel market at present. - 💝
I have both v2 Master and got the Lynx last Monday. If you need premium suspension, like a Cadillac ride and don’t mind paying top $ then the Lynx all day. But the power and speed between them is very similar. My Master rides more stiff but sometimes I like that. If I was price conscious I’d go w the Master. Also, after 6k miles on my Master w zero issues.
What is the max amps you can charge with before it cuts off? Since several of the wheels can have 50S batteries as an option these days, it would be nice if they also upgraded the charge board to support faster charging. I think 50S can handle 10 amps per parallel? So in theory you should be able to charge the wheel at 40 amps, just keeping an eye on the temps in the cells. And now people will scream at me that we will ruin the batteries by charging at such high amps, but that is the nominal charge rate if you look at the spec sheet for those batteries.. So they are designed for it. Yes, they will last longer if you charge slower/keep the heat down, but it's nice to have the option to pump some electrons into the wheel in a hurry if you are doing some long distance riding.
@@johnnygovroom Are you going with a Roger charger or a Hou Ning charger? I got Hou Nings 4850N Hyper Charger which I am very happy with, but it's hella noisy!
