Good video, gotta disagree on the Marty take though, there is no reason to hide the fact a part broke during testing preproduction or not. It's meant for public consumption or they would not have sent it to him. Also he was very clear that this was unexpected and the fix was already in his house and going to trub for harder core testing. The value he brings is showing how nosfet deals with it and he showed that they are dealing with it very well.
Hey Johnny, big fan...I waited till the Patton had the progressive spring and bought mine in June this year (batch 5?) and it's transcendent 😀. Oh and I love this topic...long story short...EUC saved my physical body and got me out of my head. Chronic pain from scoliosis for 30+ years, I'm 56...tried PT / Chiro one last time and it worked! my big hairy goal to get me well was to ride an EUC. I got better, stronger and after 6 weeks of trying to build the muscle, get the balance and the brain to finally start working again...I got it...and 1+ years later I'm so much better as a person, so much more energy available to enjoy my life, i'm so thankful.
My man Johnny! You are taking the words out of my mouth. Some very very good points in this video that people really should take to heart. AND you fixed the audio issue with those weird clicks that had been haunting you for a while 😀 Don't stop making these awesome videos!
I got a Master from a friend that had the flat Clark face. The front face had separated from the rest due to poor design of the inner structure. They wanted me to buy a new piece for around $90! They should be sending me a free replacement.
For my purposes, I use my trolly on the v14 on every ride, and wouldn't buy a heavy wheel that didn't have one. I do a mix of bus and ride, along with in and out of homes and stores, and having the trolly for the transitions is valuable for me. Others ride differently and have different needs. I like Marty. He's a very technical guy. Ex engineer. I don't see any agendas in his delivery. Mostly I feel it's just the engineer in him. I work with a lot of engineers at my job, and i'm continuously having to calm them down and ask them if that thing they are obsessing over is really that big of a deal. Sometimes it is. Sometimes not. But reaching out privately is definitely a respectful move. I am guessing though that he worries about being seen as hiding something potentially. I do like how you suggested he could qualify things though.
So much was discussed in this video! Opinions are just that. Until a coversation is had and the speakers are able to talk through misunderstandings, then whats the point of curating? Albiet, the ones having the conversation should be open minded in order to come to terms with eachother. Interesting video tho my man! You should do a live with soneone othere than Rob. 😂 heck, ill hop on with ya! 😂🎉🎉
Hi JGV. LOVED this video. From my observation, the only thing common between the E20 and the Mten5-Duo is that they both have two wheels and use electrons. Otherwise, they seem night and day. The E20 looks like a flat-turning toaster and the Mten5-Duo looks like it can lean into turns (spunk). I never wanted an Mten5, preferring a Falcon, but I'll probably buy the Duo to entice people to try a EUC. I'll be the outlier on this one and take the likely wrath from our community, but I think i like this stupid little abomination. Again, I love your videos. My fix has been satisfied.😊
@@EUCme bro thank you so much!!! I saw several people pumped about it- and well. I can’t say they aren’t valid. If you’re excited I’m excited for you!!! I look forward to your thoughts !!!
Clark seemed chill when I bought my wheel through him. He personally texted me at like 2am to ask what color free fairings I wanted with my ET Max and verify all the shipping info was correct. Wheel was mad cheap compared to any of the usual wheel vendors. Maybe he was just having one of those days and decided to shit on the spelling bee world champion I'm totally fine with that.
@@lililililililili8667 we all have those days- Thanks for voicing your positive experiences, This isn’t a dog pile dig. - So I invite the perspective and experience Thanks brother r
Begode has always made wheels in the old chinese tradition of copying other lunches at a cheaper price and more power: falcon: s16, extreme: patton, et max/eb wheels: lynx. They tend to make one original wheel once in a while and then use it as a template for copying others, last gen was the master, now it seems to be the blitz. The parts for a lot of these wheels are made by third parties, including the controller, gyro and motor. For wheels to advance, the companies would need to make these parts inhouse with eletric unicycles specifically in mind. I don't know if this is possible right now, since they are all still relatively small companies. Some people said there is something that could be done with programing and or firmware, but I wouldn't know how. Sensei veegan made a live with whogene talking about this stuff
First off, good video, you speak well. I like what you cover. But let's be a little clear on this... Marty is the best; THE BEST. Tell me who does better? Puts out quality video's that nobody else does. Who else does those range tests? Have you? He does it all and when he can't he gets those in his circle that can test out the wheel in all aspects. Marty does expose faults which is what I want to see. No real sensationalism. You may be bored with him if you met him. Marty has been right more than he has been wrong. If there is a problem with a wheel, he and the crew he hangs with will sus it out. That's what I want to know before purchasing a high-priced wheel. The two wheels I have I got them because of him. His opinion matters to lots of people. Ask yourself why. Look at the combined views of his last three videos on that wheel. There will most likely always be limitations on wheels and Marty can expose a lot of them because of his prior life working high end stuff (that he can't talk about). Yes, a consummate professional. He is that way because of the time he has spent in and among the community. He gives the community what they want and does it with flare, almost artistically at times which is entertainment in itself. Can you outrun him on a wheel, probably yes. They send him the wheels because of his top-of-the-line videos.
@@timsaloga First , thank you!! I appreciate the engagement and great comment. I complimented the lane he does well in. And was critical of lanes that are beneath his grace. I think we agree brother. Ride long and strong !
Ah if I could afford another wheel that was just for fun sure I'd get the apex with no trolley. However I commute every day so it wouldn't work. Seems like its one of those in or out things because it is really decisive to the people that it matters to :/
I love the idea of the trail. On a wheel one can quickly visit foot traffic paths where cars and motorcylces would be restricted. I'm yet to get a wheel, It feels like the next "motorcycle" which is what attracted me to your post about politics. I've lost interest in adventure touring. But why I clicked on your video, my mind was expecting discussion on "laws" coming into effect. Made me curious of my planning a future purchase. I'm expecting ill start with the T4 Pro as my first wheel with a coiled shock, but a street tire until I get the control down. Seeing the "blazing around" videos looks incredibly dangerous for a rider in Socal. It's not the wheel, but the psycho drivers who discourage me from riding my motorcycle. Fast product releases; it suits the ADHD- video gamer customer base. That trend is shown with mobile phones. There is a big topic about how having the newest "modern thing" is a talking point for this emerging personality. As soon as it gets boring, the "talking points" are gone, and "hanging out" gets boring. Having the "newest thing" brings attention in the social group and a "leg up" vs their peers. Everyone wants to feel "important" no? I'm a cyclist/motorbike rider, these appeal to me for the freedom to reach places few people see. I'm and adventurer at heart.
If you send a half baked buggy beta model out for testing you should expect a crap review, you only review what you got right, and they know it for TH-cam. Also they should have models like cars, a BMW 3 series gets a makeover every 3 years but it's always a 3 series, its the same class car but improved, you only need a small, medium, SUV in this tiny market. I have no idea if an extreme is comparable to an xway, just give them a model name and refine it.

EUC really helps me with my depression.
Convenience might be king honesty. At least until infrastructure changes I still have to drive so much.
