When you really think about it, Father Curtis got everything he wanted in this episode -Harper to marry Ramona -The mute girl to rejoin the convent -To absolutely whip Sampson, the prick who lost the king's colors And he did it all without a scratch on himself, which means he was a lot more sucessful than Sharpe.
Thanks for doing this...I love the series. Can't compare to the depth of the books, but on the other hand, the books don't have Sean Bean, either. Good to see there's still interest!

Out loud.

@@rubix4195 there was talk with a production company in NI about a reboot which would be great i think , its a show that could do very well with cgi and i know , i would be against any reboots for any of the all time greats , but with the right sharpe could be amazing.

They filmed part of the first two series near the area, where the Charge Of The Light Brigade happened and in Portugal. They then filmed in Turkey, where they did Waterloo and then in India for the sequels, as well as in England for the episode where the regiment goes missing and Sharpe takes Jane back to Spain and then for his return to England, before Waterloo. They used a part of York with Regency houses to stand in for London, as well as Yorkshire and Essex wetland and other Essex locations.
