first time ive ever watched a 'sharpe' .. im bloody impressed how nice this is for the budges they got to make it with ! i also love he man who plays wellington he really got a feel for it ! :DDDDDD
I'm a Scotsman, with strong Irish heritage and I am also British! My family on both sides has been on this Isle since Pax Romana and I don't see how a country in baby clothes can even attempt to judge! You know nothing about us! Otherwise you'd be aware that it's not inside your ability to understand... some countries like mine spent hundreds even thousands of years fighting for a strip of land... you had guns and were practical handed a land of your own! How can you judge us?!
So far i got 'sharpe mission, 'regiment', 'sword, 'honour, and 'enemy' (the first 2 on another account), don't reckon any more sharpe will appear on here form me. some other member have added other episodes too. glad you liked it and thanks for commenting.
Wow, thanks for posting these vids! I am a huge Sharpe fan, we rarely see these in the US.. Will you be posting more Sharpe? Thank you once more for posting you rock! :-)
lol ur funny. it's ok, i'm really glad someone out there is enjoying it all same as i am. and i'm not looking forward having a fanclub, but you're welcome to join my friend list any time you with lol
Sharpe fans - for those who have read Sharpe's Devil, what do you think about it being a great candidate for the next Sharpe film. It takes place in 1820 and has a interesting plot taking place in South America - I just finished it and thought the casting possibilities would be interesting. Thoughts?
Hi, you're welcome. Well, I must admit I do have both Sharpe's Battle and Company (the latter has been added by someone else btw), but seeing as I am extremely busy and got little free time, I cannot tell you when I'll be able to put up "Battle", if at all. As for your other question, I first got introduced to the Sharpe films when way much younger- just saw it on tv. I've always favoured films that depict a certain historical period, so there...
SO I came across the books a bit later. However, I did read 'Sharpe's Tiger' and started 'Sharpe's Triumph' but must admit didn't get to finish it yet. It's also wearsisome as I couldn't lay hold save on electronic versions of the book, so I read them off the computer. Naturally, books are better than films, but still the films are entertaining to watch, and Sean Bean is good.
thanks marquilla this is great.. it's hard to find the films even to buy..unless you wanna drop 300 bucks on the set...any chance we could get sharpe's battle sometime?...but i digress..thanks again
Simply because they haven't been made into movies. Cornwell didn't write the books in chronological order, so many of the "earlier" books were actually written after the "sequel" movies were done. I don't think there are going to be any more movies, though - I'm sure I read that somewhere. Rifles, Eagle, Company, Enemy, Honour, Gold, Battle, Sword, Regiment, Siege, Mission, Revenge, Justice, Waterloo, Challenge and Peril have been made into movies, though some of them are original scripts.
erm for your info, we dont have a european parliement, tis called the british parliement. 2ndly the bnp has only gained 3 seats but that's about it really, so gordon brown has still got a lot of support.
They weren't written after the movies were made... After all, the last two movies were made after 2000, whereas the novels were mostly written before then. The exceptions are Trafalgar (2000), Prey (2001), Havoc (2003), Escape (2004) and Fury (2007). Eagle and Gold were first published in 1981, the first two of the series he wrote. Rifles (the first movie) wasn't published until '88. There are 3 short stories in the series, and most of the later books (publishing wise) were to fill in details~
what the hell are you talking about? those guys were pretty much the British armies 'special forces', which like todays special forces, SAS, SEALS, usually work in small groups, Sharpe is a fighting officer more than a commanding officer, I mean shit today's Delta force squads are usually commanded by a major or colonel with a captain in second command?
@Rikki0 we did end slavery and we didn't fight a civil war over it. and before that it was illegal to own a slave in the british isles so the irish and scottish stopped being enslaved at the same time as the english
@PresentAssassin When someone bashes my country, they can expect to get bashed back. However PresentAssassin, you certainly have the right to sit and simply accept their bashing your country without recourse. I would never attempt to deny your rights. Please don't attempt to deny mine.
The army of Lozzy is superior to any of which has been mentioned. Just me... Just a saber.. thats all I need.. and Im a 1 man army.. I'l take you all out. FEAR ME!
I'd argue that the war of 1812 was indecisive, as nothing really came from it. All in all, it was a sideshow, insignificant compared to what was occurring in Europe at that time. But, say what ever you want to keep the canucks happy.
@RRicci12 well I haven t read the books..but I can tell you this..its hard to make a full serie with everything from a bookserie..if you dont have a big moviebudget..as they did..so..I hope you understand..its a very good..movie..even..its lack s many good parts. :/
yes....seems utterly rediculous doesn't it......and you seem to miss the fact that the US had allied itself with France, then later spain: two of the worlds great superpowers at the time it wasnt american superiority, it was the good old fashioned british - french hatred that led to independence oh, and for everyone debating whos got the best armies....its impossible to tell unless theres world war 3...where everybody is desperately fighting for survival rather than money~
@theathiestalaby don't forget the Blacks and the Asians while not the victim of an attempted Genocide still got lynched and killed in large enough numbers and in case of natural diasters such as the chicago earthquake weren't even counted as human casualties.
Dreadnought2142 BACK OFF ON AMERICA Yes we fight to help people which is more than i can say for other countries. Our founding fathers founded this country on God and that if we have the power and ability to help others we should. You can't say the same for the french.
@Rikki0 so if ireland was so great back then why is it not called great ireland, or even have an empire? britain ruled 1/4 of the globe you are just too patriotic to ireland for your own good, look at facts rather than propaganda m8
@jasper0192837465 My ancestors were Irish actually, Jasper. However, I am 100% American. But if you will look back at the posts that started this whole mess you will see that I was simply defending my country against an attack by one of your countrymen. Why is it that when an American defends his country against an attack no one ever says anything to the guy who initiated the attack? You always come down on the American and ignore the European who started the mess in the first place. Odd.
Love spotting those who can't ride, makes me smile.
first time ive ever watched a 'sharpe' .. im bloody impressed how nice this is for the budges they got to make it with ! i also love he man who plays wellington he really got a feel for it ! :DDDDDD
I love Captain Jack Spears. He's so handsome and dashing. Whattta guy!!! I know he was Leroux's spy...but reluctant spy.
8:00 ''Seems a man doesn't lose his arm scratching his arse Jack'' lol brilliant!!
That carriage is in just about every episode. How much you notice watching these in quick succession that is used over and over again.
Good shooting Sharpe!
Tally ho Sharpe! flush em out!
Man you just have to love those English officers.
HAH! THAT'S THE STYLE! I love it!
I'm a Scotsman, with strong Irish heritage and I am also British! Ahahaha, I'm loving that horseback general chap, such a stereotype.
Besides I have nothing to fear... I'm from one of the worlds most popular countries: Scotland! I even get bought drinks on good days!
So far i got 'sharpe mission, 'regiment', 'sword, 'honour, and 'enemy' (the first 2 on another account), don't reckon any more sharpe will appear on here form me. some other member have added other episodes too. glad you liked it and thanks for commenting.
mate, dont know what to say, legend, awersome. If u had a fanclub, i'd be your number 1 member!
PERKINS NEVER DIED IN THE BOOKS!!!1
UP AND AT EM BOYS, UP AND AT EM!
Wow, thanks for posting these vids! I am a huge Sharpe fan, we rarely see these in the US.. Will you be posting more Sharpe? Thank you once more for posting you rock! :-)
Finally a french officer with a real french accent
@Fantasyfanism yes we had our allies, as you mentioned and more, thats not without question but we still stood our ground.
awsum vid cheers marquilla
Great stuff-thanks.

The first televised Sharpe was:
Sharpe's Rifles

I expect El Mirador is a smoking hot chick.
I stand corrected, thank you for pointing it out.
No, I didn't find it rude at all! You were to the point and comprehensive in your reply, both are traits I admire. After all, I was wrong, lol!

no; I was talking about the french captain that the colonel shot after changing their jackets
I believe those novels were written after the movies were made, as the author did not write them in chronological order.
erm for your info, we dont have a european parliement, tis called the british parliement. 2ndly the bnp has only gained 3 seats but that's about it really, so gordon brown has still got a lot of support.
If you can't see the face, you can't hit the heart.
Yeah I'm on them now. Finished 'Sharpe's Tiger' and currently on 'Sharpe's Triumph', why?
They weren't written after the movies were made... After all, the last two movies were made after 2000, whereas the novels were mostly written before then.

it took 3 days on a good connection with 5-7 seeds to get, but you can find the entire series in torrents!
3:35 sorry sir it's too far away, 10 seconds later they start blasting those fools anyway...
what the hell are you talking about? those guys were pretty much the British armies 'special forces', which like todays special forces, SAS, SEALS, usually work in small groups, Sharpe is a fighting officer more than a commanding officer, I mean shit today's Delta force squads are usually commanded by a major or colonel with a captain in second command?
I can't find Sharpe's Battle here could someone upload it
Has anyone else noticed they spelt surprise wrong in the titles
Why can't I find the video's for sharpes tiger or triumph, the only two books I've finished so far? Please help.
@Fantasyfanism Those numbers together were something like 66k men and the French had 74k still. The Prussians were getting beat also I believe.
What is the very first Sharpe movie?
One thing this show got wrong - men wearing the Legion dHoneur did not run.
have u ever read the books of the sharpe series?
@Rikki0 we did end slavery and we didn't fight a civil war over it. and before that it was illegal to own a slave in the british isles so the irish and scottish stopped being enslaved at the same time as the english
daniel jefferson ... Bollocks.
@JackFTW I'll admit that falls short but it was paid for and organised by Americans and the copy rights are mostly American!
@PresentAssassin When someone bashes my country, they can expect to get bashed back. However PresentAssassin, you certainly have the right to sit and simply accept their bashing your country without recourse. I would never attempt to deny your rights. Please don't attempt to deny mine.

omg there are sharpes books?
Where Cooper has gone? I mean, there are only three of the chosen man, now that perkins is gone...
@GabrielStefan ----- Hey yeaah from HBO Rome right? =D
yeh i have actually i did watch sharpe's challenge last year or so
A show about war and people still question hate comments?
let it go its gonna happen anyway
give it a go, they're interesting. have you ever watched 'sharpe's challenge'? it's a mix of the first 3 novels.
I'd argue that the war of 1812 was indecisive, as nothing really came from it. All in all, it was a sideshow, insignificant compared to what was occurring in Europe at that time.
But, say what ever you want to keep the canucks happy.
wrong: You are confusing the terms "Great Britain" with "British Isles". Whereas the former is part of the latter but not vice versa.
Mark Anthony gets around a bit.
@2manynegativewaves nope, he's like James Bond... this is 006 before 007 "betrayed" him
James Purefoy?
currently read this...
i swear sharpe could speak french earlier then this episode why cant he now
Damn at 4:45 - he only got shot, in the book he had a massive sword through the back of his head... :(
Killed sadly enought.... Perkins was the last 1 to fall.
WHAT HAPPENED TO COOPER!!
@RRicci12 well I haven t read the books..but I can tell you this..its hard to make a full serie with everything from a bookserie..if you dont have a big moviebudget..as they did..so..I hope you understand..its a very good..movie..even..its lack s many good parts. :/
@steveirwinledgend I agree with you mate at least we're capable of being literate!
@Rikki0 at least when the british start shooting they shoot the other side. (what language are we arguing in?)
@TheARMAProductions Some people bash any country that don't belong to. It's their nationalist pride.
the irish are not brits???
You're welcome, but I hope I didn't seem too short or rude... I tend to become very clinical when correcting someone, sorry :S
what is that guy saying at 6:58?
He's saying to the Frenchman that the Colonel accepts his parole and wants him to make it official by writing it down.
No way man.
@PresentAssassin I simply return what is given to me. It is a courtesy.
In one statement madhammu is calling folk racist in the next he's being racist to the British. YOU ARE MESSED UP!
Dudes! Why all the hate?
jeeeze someone needs to get you an 8th...
Kind of odd. A major on patrol with 1 sgt. and 2 soldiers... Doesn't sound very realistic...
@jethro035181 Agreed
@steveirwinledgend care to expand? what do you mean by grow up?
yes....seems utterly rediculous doesn't it......and you seem to miss the fact that the US had allied itself with France, then later spain: two of the worlds great superpowers at the time
it wasnt american superiority, it was the good old fashioned british - french hatred that led to independence
oh, and for everyone debating whos got the best armies....its impossible to tell unless theres world war 3...where everybody is desperately fighting for survival rather than money~
@Rikki0 the rules of the time were no flag no country
@theathiestalaby don't forget the Blacks and the Asians while not the victim of an attempted Genocide still got lynched and killed in large enough numbers and in case of natural diasters such as the chicago earthquake weren't even counted as human casualties.
@jlfittro VERY MATURE
@ChapterGrim Tell the Irish and Scots that you ended slavery before we did. Lemme know how that works out for you.
@MoonManBob2 as opposed to the american politicians like washington and jefferson who actually owned the slaves
@Rikki0 says the guy from the country where abolition came a century - not including civil rights - after your great enslavers :P
just checking, cos i never did haha
@jizzinmypants191919 yeah, just sneeze at them and they drop dead
It amazes me John Tams doesn't rate the credits list. If there is any wooden actor then it's Sean Bean. Never rated him as an actor.
Dreadnought2142
BACK OFF ON AMERICA
Yes we fight to help people which is more than i can say for other countries. Our founding fathers founded this country on God and that if we have the power and ability to help others we should. You can't say the same for the french.
@Lefcharlie oh and you mean die not dye??? look who cannot spell now
Why do Americans have a go when in their short history they have done just as terrible things; worse for the length of time done in?
@Rikki0 so if ireland was so great back then why is it not called great ireland, or even have an empire? britain ruled 1/4 of the globe you are just too patriotic to ireland for your own good, look at facts rather than propaganda m8
@steveirwinledgend slavery! xD
THIS AURGUMENT IS IRELEVENT TO TO THE VIDEO!!!!
*wearisome
@sh0ck54 grow up
lol america lost the second war it fought, in 1812 against canada. you got your asses kicked
@jasper0192837465 My ancestors were Irish actually, Jasper. However, I am 100% American.
