I have been drawing with procreate for years. If i have the time, i like to watch these beginner videos. Every once in a while i get that "i did not know that moment." Or its a "i forgot about that moment". Enjoyed my moment. Keep up the good work.
Im a carpenter just trying to learn how to draw. i enjoyed this. very helpful, not too intence, well edited, not mad hype intros or ads. 10/10 keep up the good work
first, congratulations for having such an awesome job! Also i wanted to mention that in the wrench/video section with time lapse- that will create a video which multiply that times all your canvases will fill up your device memory in no time!!! Took me hours to purge all the videos on my canvases. Last, Strider is really cute!
Thank you SO much for this video!! Best explanation of Procreate tools I have heard in simple terms! Especially the alpha lock and clipping mask - so helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! ❤❤
This is one of the best simple easy to understand explanations on some of the basic stuff you should know if you use Procreate. I am feeling jealous as well because I wish I had this digital stuff back in the late 80s when I was in Highschool. Yes I am dating myself but I don't care !!!
!! OMG !!! Where have been all my Frustrated Procreatve Drawing Life!?!? Finally some simple straightforward directions How To Do abc.... !Especially!! Those dang Blending Modes. Your demo was so wonderfully painless and easy to understand! As are all your other demos. Your high school students are so lucky to have you! I sure appreciate these tips, can’t wait to watch your other vids 👍🏻😺🎃
Hey guys! Hope you enjoy this helpful (hopefully) video. I'm hoping to put out more helpful/ educational videos, so let me know what you want to learn from me in the comments! :) :) :) Thanks for stopping by!
Those tips were awesome! New tip would be more explaining of layers and the different masks uses and effects (I still don’t get after a while lol) For example: in this video you show masking and clipping mask. Both circles were solid colors. I could not appreciate or see the difference in effects after you recolored. So I’m still not understanding the difference. Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge!🌷
This was so helpful, thank you! I was really struggling to understand the blending modes, but you explained it in a way I could understand, with examples!
How do you guys draw those lines so easy... is it practice or the brush? cus I cant get those lines like I saw you when you were using mirror. ( maybe is called different , I used it a lot in Max) I am new with procreate , just my 2nd day today but I been using PSP and PS for the past 15 years or so on and off . but first time using a pen for drawing, fell little weird to me :)
Good question! Draw a line then hold the pen and it will straighten automatically and if you tap your finger on the screen it should find the true middle of the canvas! But of course brushes and brush settings help too. Maybe we should do another video just about shortcuts? 🤔
Just got into procreate since I just barely got an iPad and that Timelapse feature is so cool never would’ve known about it if not for your video thanks 😅
So glad to hear digital art is taught in some schools. The benefit would seem to draw non drawers into the being creative in a new area for them. I like your keep it simple style. I’m a novice at Procreate and you added some great tips to my work - thank you.
Very helpful. Question - seems like when you did the brush favorites it "moved" the brush to that folder. I'm guessing there is a way for us to "copy" a brush to the FAVS folder and still have it in it's original place as well.
Good question! It automatically makes a copy of the brush into your new folder instead of removing it from the original category. At least that's how it's worked for me!
But you can also duplicate brushes to be safe! Swipe left on the brush with your finger and it will give you the option to "share, duplicate, or delete" 😊
Thanks for the tips! It was a bit hard to watch, because the camera kept refocusing. Try disabling auto focus when filming something static. If you're filming on an iPhone if you hold your finger on the screen it will lock the focus (AE/AF Lock)
Thanks for stopping by! I'm using the iPad Pro 12.9 inch (5th gen). It was a recent nice upgrade, but for years I just used my old 3rd gen iPad and Procreate and it was just fine! You definitely don't need the newest out there to make great art :)
I am new to Procreate and can’t seem to get to draw anything but lines. Can you help me? I have no idea how to get it to let me draw anything curved. I have watched a lot of videos and haven’t seen anyone with this issue.
The mirror is my favorite with my grandchildren. I Let them draw fun creating on themselves, and move it with the liquid effect. My older grandchildren like to play like makeup and monster.. or place someone else face or an animal on their face. I am sure there are other use for it.
First thing I thought of with the camera reference is for self portrait! Maybe that’s not such a thing now? Modernism especially like Van Gogh did a lot of self portraits.
Please tell us where you find these modes. All of us aren’t proficient. Like you explained blending mode, but you didn’t really show where to find it because she went so quickly.
Sorry about that! The blending modes can be tricky to find. Open up your layers and you'll see a "N" by default on one of the layers (the "N" indicates a normal blending mode). Click on that letter and it will open up the other options. Hope this helps!
Feeling jealous of the fact that kids can take a digital art class in high school!! This is so fun!!
took a visual art and technology class this year and it inspired me to buy an iPad!! Now I’m trying to learn how to use it haha :)
I know!! I seen this at my sons high school this year!!! Like can I enroll in the school for just that class! Lol!! So jealous!
@@adrian.dyou know there’s places where adults can learn this stuff
yes but not free like kids have it now in public school :)@@customcutters
Camera refernce used for facial expressions , vital for storyboards and key animations
Thank you for clarifying the usefulness of that tool.

I think the reference yourself part 5:11 could be good if you’re recording your face for a tutorial or something 😊

Self reference looks like it could be good for drawing hands from a different perspective but in a pose you can’t find
This was so helpful thank u so much

5:00 TikTok filter?
That’s gotta be the only thing it’s for other than just fun lol. It’s bizarre!
😅yes

Hey, the one with your face, is yo create TikTok filters!
Thank you so much for all these super helpfull tips❤
Thanks for watching 💕 Glad it could help!
2:00 “100 heads” “50 artworks” something’s not adding up
(or the reference and drawings both count as 1 head each)
I fit 2 head drawings on each canvas 😊 just wanted to keep the drawings small!
Obrigado pelas dicas. ❤
you're so welcome! :)
The face option allows your face to become the canvas you can face-paint using that option
Thanks! Now we know haha
I love the way you edited this video 😀
Wow thank you! That means so much 🥰
Thank you .. I had learned from some of this. Video.
Fantastic video, so helpful
Glad you think so! Thank you!
Wow 🙌 Thank you!
I believe the face feature is to draw face paint on yourself, kind of like a custom Instagram/snapchat filter except it's your own artwork
That's what people seem to be saying haha I can't believe I didn't know that?
this was great :) thank u!
Aww thanks for watching! 😊
Great video
these are great tips! can’t wait to try them out 🥰

You can create youR own filters with the face dealy
Cool video 😎
Love that we rock the same iPad case 😂❤
HA! Awesome 😂
The Plus Marks are your eyes or where your eyes are located on canvas when you’re done you will have your own Snapchat filter

You can do it! It just takes a little time and experimentation. Keep going 💕

The face reference is probably for face painting.
How about clarity of your speech?
How can I share your knowledge?
Thanks?
