Hope they bring back many features from the rf3 and tod to their newest title i never understand why they get rid off many magical seed from rf3 in rf4 and rf5 they only bring sword and the shield, also if they can bring 3d animation avatar when we talk to npc in rf tod i don't understand why they can't bring in RF5 too

Wonderful Life was the second Harvest Moon game I played, I remember playing Harvest Moon 64 nonstop, and then being both excited and confused about Wonderful Life and how different it was, I found it so much more challenging and rewarding at the same time. I really loved that game and I love the fact it was remade and want to get it asap, though also hoping at the 64 version will get the next remake...
@@jacobpugh592 mineral town is so different, the characters have the same looks and some might have the same name but it's very different, from a lot more festivals, your rivals can marry someone your after, said married couples will have kids, people can leave the town forever inculding actually character death, and even a possible game over...
@@whisperinwind87 oh i never played the n64 title so i didnt know it was so different. i just thought it was the same game on two consoles or it had slight differences. The titles i played the most are a wonderful life, magical melody, and animal parade. Honestly i want another one like magical melody more than anything.
Picked up a couple more wishlist items. I'm glad you announced Kitori Academy for the first time, as it's one I've been excited for, and is higher on my list than on yours. New ones for me from this are The Witch of Fern Island, Space Chef (I think it's the art style that gives me that same Rick & Morty feel, though the wackiness contributes too), Song of the Prairie (I get very strong My Time vibes from this), and FaeFarm.
Story of Seasons will actually be on Steam this coming up Summer too. I had to go and check because I'm not a console player. I'm glad it's not just console. :) Thanks for the video!
I cried when the trailer for Wonderful Life dropped. It feels like being a young teen again, coming home from a rough day at school to take care of my cow Bessy and my ducks. I don't think any others in the series have done aging? I could be wrong, I think maybe Tree of Tranquility or Animal Parade? But that's it as far as I can remember

Roots of pacha I am excited for. Pleased the demo and loved it, was shocked at how enjoyable it was considering there's been a lot of farming games that has come out yet not intuitive or fun for me.
I am not excited for Root of Pacha! I was apart of their kick starter, so have been looking forward to this game for a long time! I am also looking forward to My Time at Sandrock. I am currently playing Story of Season: Friends of Olive Town. Will also be playing the Harvest Moon remake on my Switch when it comes out. I am SO stoked for A Wonderful Life. I poured so many hours into the original. This was the starting point of me loving RPGs and the farming sims/cozy games. Almost the gateway to my gaming in general. Sooooo nostalgic! I am going to be play the hell out of this remake!

I'm trying the Super Zoo game. It looks great and I love animals, and they actually took the criticism with stride. Not many developers are willing to admit wrong, and that's a big bonus in my book.
A Wonderful Life was my very first farming RPG too and my reason for loving the genre too! I literally cried when I saw SoS announce this one 🥹 it's my #1 game this year too!
Yo, love that you put lists like this together to alert me to games I wouldn't otherwise hear about. I've been a major farm RPG fan since my first one (Harvest Moon 64 back when I was just a wee lad), and this surge in popularity for them has been a double-edged sword (good because more farm RPGs, bad because statistically more trash to sift through). So channels like this one are nice places to keep an ear to the ground. Now, one farm RPG that's in the works that you didn't mention here is Paleo Pines. Not sure whether that's because you haven't heard of it or because you don't think it will surface in 2023, but if it's the former you definitely should give the trailer a watch. It appears to be a classic farm RPG, but with the twist of having the ability to tame goddamn dinosaurs! I've learned not to get my hopes up too high for indie games since all too often they end up more passion than competence, but since this one blends two of my favorite things (farm RPGs and dinosaurs) I can't help but be a bit excited for it. The art style is super cute yet in spite of that the dinosaurs are more scientifically accurate than at least 90% of dinosaur media out there, lol. Plus you can ride the dinos and have them help with your farm. Figured I'd let you know about it in case you're not familiar, since a cursory scan of your channel's videos leads me to believe that you *might* be a big fan of Farm RPGs too :-p
TH-cam tossed this video on its (mobile) front page for me, and there were several games that piqued my interest. Glad I finally have a laptop that can play them!

Good taste. I had most of these on my wishlist already, but missed some interesting gems. Thanks for making this vid. Looking forward to your reviews. (Roots of Pacha is also one of the top games I look forward to). You might also want to check out Coral Island and Ikonei Island. Daomei Village also sounds highly interesting but doesn't have much info or a date yet.
For some of the titles I'm also excited :D like SoS-AWL, Roots of Pacha, Ova Magica and A lonely Outpost. I never played A wonderful Life, because my first ever Harvest Moon Game was "Harvest Moon DS", so I'm kinda excited for the remake :D As for Roots of Pacha and Ova Magica I'm still unsure if I want them for PC or Switch xD I also hope that Sun Haven will come out of Early Access this year :) Kinda tempted to play it right now, but I'm trying to resist till the full release xD
Harvest Moon DS was very different from A Wonderful Life (not better or worse, just different), but it just takes lace in the same location and has the same characters. It's weird lol. Both are amazing games though, but very different from each other.

TL;DW for every game: You can live the dream life and farm you want, there's cooking, fishing, discovery, and you can talk to people, fall in love, and the graphics are good.
Stardew valley is in my opinion and in many others opinions, one of the best if not currently the best farm story rpg games. I would be happy to have good clones that follow a different theme or storyline with some features being expanded upon. One only has to look at stardew valley and the mods available for it to see how much you can improve on an already great game. I also really like stardew valleys pixel art and having a game that looks similar in style or even exactly is fine by me. Now of course I don't condone stealing assets or just doing asset flips for some quick cash but I don't think that is the problem here. People just are stuck on wanting each game to be completely unique which is hilariously hypocritical considering most games, movies, books, songs etc are all copies or adaptations of something else. Even people are. So as long as the game is good, has little to no bugs and fun with lots of content then why waste energy on drama over having a similar thing.
I feel the same. You can tell it's not literal stolen sprites, just made in the exact same style, which isn't hard to do or wrong to do in any way. I can't tell you the amount of 3D games I've played that have the exact same art style. I actually do pixel art as a hobby and I've learned to draw in my own version of ConcernedApe's style and have thought about making my own game as well in that style, but haven't because of that exact fear, that people that don't know any better will say I'm stealing.
Hmm... A Wonderful Life, you say... I still have my Gamecube and the game and still play it from time to time. I also have my Friends of Mineral Town game and GameBoy Advanced (and Gamelink cable). I wonder if they are going to integrate the connectable content into the new version of the game. BTW: I got married to Cecelia and had a boy for the child.
I think it's a remake, not a 1 for 1 remaster, so it might have it's own set of content. All I would hope for is that they keep the crop breeding mechanic.
Oh also!!!!!!!! Sean Young is working on a new game!! He's the creator of Littlewood but rn the new game is Untitled. It has similiar themes to pokemon but it's very super early game. His insta and Twitter has updates there!

I'm a Harvest moon fanatic know and played every game in the series, HMds, HMfomt (b&g ver), tales of 2 towns, HM64, hero of leaf valley, animal parade, new beginning, innocent life, grand bazaar, sunshine islands, HMgirl, story of seasons, island of happiness, magic melody and etc can't remember now but not one dissapointed me except the new ones cuz of that I played the Rune series(1-5), now I'm playing doraemon-story of seasons. So excited for a wonderful life, cuz it's the HM game I never got to finish.

Now zoo story didn’t change cause of back lash from us they change cause it got on the radar of stardew valley developer after they was talking shit heavily about the stardew valley community also let not lie and say coral island and stardew valley is the same when the art style and everything is different
Harvest Moon: back to nature was the one I spent a lot of time on. First played the Harvest Moon 64 version but we didn't own it only my friend did and we could only go over there so much. Back to nature I owned and my cousin and I used to each play 3 (in-game) days at a time. Spent weeks on this game. mint. This is why I can't stop playing Stardew Valley.
My dream would be to remake Friends of Mineral Town for the Switch! Not the way that it's been made on Steam - I don't like that one. I want the OG FoMT but remastered for the Switch!
You missed coral island that looks amazing from the gameplay I've seen on othe people's channel and chucklefish have got witchbrook coming out this year it's a cross between stardew and a Wizard called Harry potter 🙂
Yeeeaaaii I‘m so excited for SoS (it’s my childhood too) and Roots of Pacha 😍😍😍😍 At first I was very excited for one lonely outpost too, but since they change so much without involving the people who supported it at kickstarter I‘m not sure anymore. People are very disappointed but the team don‘t seem to care 😕
I don't care if something looks similar, only if it is taken artwork. Super Zoo Story doesn't look like taken/stolen artwork. I definitely think people are being silly here, it looks different and I can tell by looking at all of the objects drawn.
All i ever wants is a farming, rpg, a bit of monster hunting and fighting which completely online and connected. Imagine Stardew Valley but the maps is 10x bigger and 50% of its residents are a real random people. One maps are called one server or one village, and you can build the entire maps however you want working together with the other villages residents. If you didn’t like how the village works or maybe you didn’t like one of its residents you can just move to another village and meet with new people. If you know mobile game called “Rise of Kingdom”, basically just like that but with farming and rpg elements. So, instead of confined into your own home like Rise of Kingdom, you can actually walk around to another player farm, meet them and build relationships with them. You can do whatever you want including committing a crime, stealing, murder, etc. But, when you committed a crime there’re huge consequences if you do got caught. Honestly idk why nobody build this kind of game yet. Sounds like fun right?
I am so looking forward to playing SOS A Wonderful Life. I actually plan to go back and play the OG games that I have for my GC before the "New" comes out

I love Rune Factory, but RF5 looks pretty disapointing. I didn't even pick it up cause of all the performance issues.

They remade the psx version which is not too different from the n64 version. Its called story of seasons friends of mineral town

(Roots of Pacha is also one of the top games I look forward to). You might also want to check out Coral Island and Ikonei Island. Daomei Village also sounds highly interesting but doesn't have much info or a date yet.

For some of the titles I'm also excited :D like SoS-AWL, Roots of Pacha, Ova Magica and A lonely Outpost. I never played A wonderful Life, because my first ever Harvest Moon Game was "Harvest Moon DS", so I'm kinda excited for the remake :D
As for Roots of Pacha and Ova Magica I'm still unsure if I want them for PC or Switch xD
I also hope that Sun Haven will come out of Early Access this year :) Kinda tempted to play it right now, but I'm trying to resist till the full release xD
Harvest Moon DS was very different from A Wonderful Life (not better or worse, just different), but it just takes lace in the same location and has the same characters. It's weird lol. Both are amazing games though, but very different from each other.
I am so excited. I need to "finish" some other games before :D

TL;DW for every game: You can live the dream life and farm you want, there's cooking, fishing, discovery, and you can talk to people, fall in love, and the graphics are good.

Stardew valley is in my opinion and in many others opinions, one of the best if not currently the best farm story rpg games. I would be happy to have good clones that follow a different theme or storyline with some features being expanded upon. One only has to look at stardew valley and the mods available for it to see how much you can improve on an already great game. I also really like stardew valleys pixel art and having a game that looks similar in style or even exactly is fine by me. Now of course I don't condone stealing assets or just doing asset flips for some quick cash but I don't think that is the problem here. People just are stuck on wanting each game to be completely unique which is hilariously hypocritical considering most games, movies, books, songs etc are all copies or adaptations of something else. Even people are. So as long as the game is good, has little to no bugs and fun with lots of content then why waste energy on drama over having a similar thing.
I feel the same. You can tell it's not literal stolen sprites, just made in the exact same style, which isn't hard to do or wrong to do in any way. I can't tell you the amount of 3D games I've played that have the exact same art style. I actually do pixel art as a hobby and I've learned to draw in my own version of ConcernedApe's style and have thought about making my own game as well in that style, but haven't because of that exact fear, that people that don't know any better will say I'm stealing.
I'd rather it be more immersive. It's an awesome game, I just wish it was so pixelated. It's purely aesthetic ❤️

I still have my Gamecube and the game and still play it from time to time. I also have my Friends of Mineral Town game and GameBoy Advanced (and Gamelink cable).
I wonder if they are going to integrate the connectable content into the new version of the game.
BTW: I got married to Cecelia and had a boy for the child.
I think it's a remake, not a 1 for 1 remaster, so it might have it's own set of content. All I would hope for is that they keep the crop breeding mechanic.

Oh also!!!!!!!! Sean Young is working on a new game!! He's the creator of Littlewood but rn the new game is Untitled. It has similiar themes to pokemon but it's very super early game. His insta and Twitter has updates there!

I played harvest moon wonderful life on Ps2 and game cube, I Cant wait this year end December, Cant wait play game the wonderful life remastered for PS5
I'm a Harvest moon fanatic know and played every game in the series, HMds, HMfomt (b&g ver), tales of 2 towns, HM64, hero of leaf valley, animal parade, new beginning, innocent life, grand bazaar, sunshine islands, HMgirl, story of seasons, island of happiness, magic melody and etc can't remember now but not one dissapointed me except the new ones cuz of that I played the Rune series(1-5), now I'm playing doraemon-story of seasons. So excited for a wonderful life, cuz it's the HM game I never got to finish.
We need more sci-fi farm games.

Harvest Moon: back to nature was the one I spent a lot of time on. First played the Harvest Moon 64 version but we didn't own it only my friend did and we could only go over there so much. Back to nature I owned and my cousin and I used to each play 3 (in-game) days at a time. Spent weeks on this game. mint. This is why I can't stop playing Stardew Valley.
Chef RPG actually has a TH-cam channel where he shared the process of making the game.

My dream would be to remake Friends of Mineral Town for the Switch! Not the way that it's been made on Steam - I don't like that one. I want the OG FoMT but remastered for the Switch!

You missed coral island that looks amazing from the gameplay I've seen on othe people's channel and chucklefish have got witchbrook coming out this year it's a cross between stardew and a Wizard called Harry potter 🙂
I love Space Chef. The alpha has been great. I do hope Everafter Falls comes out in 2023 as I backed that one as well, but it could be delayed.

I don't think Super Zoo Story stole from Stardew Valley, but I think Brookhaven Grimoire absolutely did... and that one is already out.
I don't care if something looks similar, only if it is taken artwork. Super Zoo Story doesn't look like taken/stolen artwork. I definitely think people are being silly here, it looks different and I can tell by looking at all of the objects drawn.
This isn't new, but would definitely recommend Dinkum! 10/10 if you haven't heard of it.
All i ever wants is a farming, rpg, a bit of monster hunting and fighting which completely online and connected. Imagine Stardew Valley but the maps is 10x bigger and 50% of its residents are a real random people. One maps are called one server or one village, and you can build the entire maps however you want working together with the other villages residents. If you didn’t like how the village works or maybe you didn’t like one of its residents you can just move to another village and meet with new people. If you know mobile game called “Rise of Kingdom”, basically just like that but with farming and rpg elements. So, instead of confined into your own home like Rise of Kingdom, you can actually walk around to another player farm, meet them and build relationships with them. You can do whatever you want including committing a crime, stealing, murder, etc. But, when you committed a crime there’re huge consequences if you do got caught.
Honestly idk why nobody build this kind of game yet. Sounds like fun right?
I am so looking forward to playing SOS A Wonderful Life. I actually plan to go back and play the OG games that I have for my GC before the "New" comes out
