The color scheme of sunny side feels so new and unique. It's a lot different than the og bright and vibrant colors often used for farming sims. The blue hues feel a lot more soothing for some reason
Honorable mention 1: The Palace On The Hill which has you work in a tea shop during vacation and seems to have some mysterious~ stuff~ going on, too, in prettiest 90s India you can find. It looks amazing and has a really cool demo out. Honorable mention 2: Grimshire where you'er a cute bunny moving into a new place and also fight spreading darkness. Looks adorable, though set for 25'.
Lightyear Frontier reminds me of the Netflix show, "Love, Death & Robots" season 1, episode 4 "Suits". In that, farmers use mechs to do farm work, but also combat aliens that invade their farm. That episode is one of my favorites of the show!
I came across a dev-vlog from the creator of Wild's Edge a couple of weeks ago. There isn't much info on the game now other then it being 'almost done' and 'out soon', but what little was shown in that short video and the screens from the Steam page have got it onto my wishlist.
My first time watching your recommendation. What a great list! I put most of them on my wishlist. Especially Echoes of Plum Groove which reminds me of World Neverland but with a more specific goal. Definitely going to save more money for these games. Thank you❤

Lots of great titles, but for me personally I’m only really looking forward to 1 and I’ve already wishlisted it before seeing this video. It’s Mirthwood, I have lots of cozy farm sims like Stardew, Coral, Roots of Pacha, Sun Haven, and Kynseed. So a more darker farm sim is a great contender and addition.
SOOO excited for - echoes of the plum grove (backed on kickstarter!!), chef rpg, sunnyside, pixelshire, & fields of mistria (i feel like they keep playing us w no release date by now 🙄) very intrigued by little-known galaxy, mirthwood & everholm
I cant wait for these games to be released and then to see a review of each ❤. Ive been burned too many times so dont want to invest in all and will wait for full reviews. Thanks sharky for your work
I'm very surprised you missed "Of Life and Land" (formerly Circle of Kerzoven). It's pretty well known and it's reportedly coming out 2024. It would fit in with the "cozy' well.
I have a specific graphic style that I prefer so didn't care for most of these personally but I do have Lightyear Frontier and I'm looking forward to Farm Together 2 next month. Cozynauts might be right up my alley, so going to go wishlist that one right now. Thanks!

Imo fields of mistria and Everholm looks nice. I love the art style of the latter but idk if the farm-side is extensive. I just want a farm game, simple story, but the art style is really good.
Stardew Valley seriously raised the bar so high I felt difficult to buy and try new games, and with 1.6 update, I'm gonna be so occupied for at least a year

why are there so many third person farming games I barely know any in first person or where first person is an option the only two I know of is like year from tear and staxel I’d like to see more
Early access or games in beta and the like ruins the game. If this step is a necessary evil, it should be kept closed with a public embargo. Playing unfinished games early burns out the player base and destroys potential release hype. Finish the game, or nearly finish, then promote it and release it is proper procedure. Which other products sell in an unfinished state except maybe food?

Only bringing up a reputable influencer here because hopefully Nintendo won't just ignore their inquiring why this is unlike them more than likely just blowing them off if the normal Joe Blow reaches out to them and asks this same question.
Echoes of Plum Grove have a nostalgic feel to it. Meanwhile, I'm super excited for Chef RPG I have been following the creator on TH-cam Pixel Architect and his process during the creation of the game! (●'◡'●)
I can't wait to play any of them but I'm most excited for the space games. I've been playing One Lonely Outpost and love farming and exploring another planet.
@@SharkyGamess It's a series of puzzle games where you solve the puzzles in various ways by spawning items using whatever random noun and adjectives you can think of. For example, you could use a ladder to get a cat out of a tree, or you can spawn in a zombie beaver to chew the tree down.
I hope they all become great games, but I feel like they're overexploiting the "Stardew Valley" resource, the art style and techniques, the 2D graphics. I mean, they can be great games, but they can also saturate a niche that isn't that big. My dream is to see something in the middle of "Stardew Valley" and Farming Simulator, that goes deeper into the reproduction of animals, to be able to have many breeds of many species of farm animals with graphics that are a little more "realistic" but without reaching be an FM 22, with the same quality of stories that have been told until now in this type of games, because they are very good. Anyway, I hope it arrives one day.
Even though I'm super stoked about Chef RPG, I do wish they would have reworked the character sprites slightly. The characters/people somehow look like they're from an entirely different game and don't really match the super detail pixel art of the environment & buildings, imho. But it's early access, so maybe things will still change. If not, here's to hoping we'll be able to mod somewhere down the line after full release.
chucklefish is still around? i thought they folded after what happened with them. sorry but i will stay away from anything they are attached to. if you dont know go look it up. almost as bad as how the devs from the day after treated their employees.
@@Qilemonade they lied, they stole, they didnt pay their devs as in at all. they were the ones working with concernedape (stardew valley) with their multiplayer and when this dropped concernedape dropped them. we dont know if it was just this or if he knew more cause hes gave a brief statement like he knew more and dropped them. they worked with a few games at the time so we dont know how deep it went just that everyone involved with them dropped them fast. thats why i thought they were done but it looks like they are still around.

And we will probably never really hear what was truly promised and what was truly delivered by either side. ConcernedApe is well clear of it, so that is good. Chucklefish was only ever a publisher for Stardew, not involved with it's development.

Now i see the main reason Graveyard keeper being somewhat rushed and unpolished combat, monsters, dungeon, the what the hell should i be doing part and story(lots more in steam reviews) its because of Bandle Tale. Hope the latter wont get the same treatment. That being said, gonna wishlist Chef Rpg, Eastward, Mirthwood, Everholm, and especially Pixelshire.

Not all but most of these games are only available for windows. I have a Mac. The only game I can have up and running is Stardew Valley.
