My first boat was like that pulled it out of the woods befor I got it to my drive way wheel fell off rolled head of me rolled in my drive way lol it was a alumucraft 14ft never had been licened or titled I turned it to a bass boat front deck rear deck wich I had seat seting on the floor of it had a 1957 johnson 18hp on it tiller steer that was 30 years ago now I got a alumaweld express 17ft bass boat
I built a aluminum front deck extension on my 94 express bass boat I used aluminum 4x8 1/16 thick used 1.5 tubing and angle aluminum fasters were rivets and bolts hatches off of a cajin bass boat wich I got off of ebay same style as my boat has there all water proof I used aluminum because the boat has 0 wood in it
great work on the boat and video!
Dude this looks great, I like it a lot more than other conversions I’ve seen.
Thanks, I have an update video coming out next Wednesday showing some new additions!
Nice looking boat. You did a great job.
Thanks
Looks like you put a greasy 2 stroke on it.
Looks awesome
Very nice build. How much more would you say it would have cost to use aluminum rather than plywood? Again great job!
I would have to look at tiny boat nations website but it took 2 8ft prices for the top deck and one 8ft price fore the walls of the compartments.
Hhhaaarrrd‼️ new subscriber here 🫡 Man this video just got me fired up for real! I’m looking to do the same thing after Christmas. I appreciated the content no doubt. I was looking to see how to message you about the boat details, but I couldn’t figure it…
What would you like to know?
I meant to comment from my fishing channel…2 new subscribers lol
Great job man. That's a lot of work. Curious about the rivet attachment you found on amazon for your drill.
Yeah it’s an attachment that the drill chuck latches onto and has a handle you hold so it can work like a normal rivet gun but it’s super cheap it also came with different sizes for whatever type of rivet your using.
Wow, Great Job! You mentioned in the video the name of the company where you got the aluminum framing from. What is the company name/link?
Tiny Boat Nation
Curious if you ever got around to getting your lid struts?
I did I actually recently installed them I will be making a better update video soon
Thinking about doing something similar, what size trolling motor did you get and what did you do for batteries?
I have a 12v 55lb thrust minn kota on it and I run one battery for that. I’m posting an update video soon with the new rear motor that runs on 3 lithium batteries
@@CastingWithCJ awesome thanks! How many ah is it? And how long during the day does it last? I know that depends on conditions but just looking for a rough average if I do something like this.
@@midwest_finesse11fishingch47 I use a deep cycle lead acid for my trolling motor and it lasts all day I’ve never had it die and if you wanted a lithium I bet you could get a couple days worth of use out of a 100ah.
i have the same boat, do you have an IG? im referencing from youtube builds and you have the exact boat i have, to the T. what grit did u use to sand the exterior paint?
Yeah CastingWithCJ On Instagram. And I used 120 to get the most of it off and then smoothed it with some 240
What paint did you use
I used rustoleum paint for the main coat and rustoleum aluminum primer for the base
Im looking for the link to the kit u said u would link it but i cant find it please
