I really enjoyed this video. I love, love, love the vintage patterns. Super cool idea for a journal. Thanks for taking your valuable time to share your idea.
Wow when I think of all the patterns, that I had since the 70's, that I could have kept and used! Who would oh thought! LOL Nice job and always cheerful video to watch. Thanks. 🤔👍😺👏
Darling journal using the sewing patterns! I was gifted a stack of sewing patterns and now after watching your wonderful tutorial I will try making some journals! Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs 💝
How fun! I have lots of old patterns (I used to sew all of my own clothes back in the day) and even have that Tim Holtz paper which I adore. Thanks for the fun ideas.
So cute. I want to make a sewing theme journal . I used to be a seamstress and then I made loads of quilts. So I have lots of patterns and fabric on my stash! TFS 🤗
This is SEW cute Jess! Sewing pattern journals are some of my favorite journals to make but I don’t think I’ve used the zippers in a fun way yet so I can’t wait to see how you use yours!! 🌷🌷🌷
I absolutely loved this journal came together really quick. I’ve been wanting to make one I didn’t know what to do with my pattern papers thank you so much.✂️✂️✂️
Cute little project! I am looking for real vintage (1960’s) patterns to make a sewing journal right now. So far none of the prolific garage sales have had any😞. Blessings from Betty in Ohio.
I scored dozens of old patterns at my Goodwill (few bucks for a few dozen). Love this idea! I was thinking I might combine your concept with Gayle A's idea of putting Amazon bubble packaging between the cover and inside paper. Love this little book and love all things sewing. This would make a great gift for someone who sews; he or she could use it to sketch pattern ideas, notes on projects, and put notions in pockets. Thanks for a great tutorial!
I appreciate the video! I want to use the sewing machine in my journals, do you recommend a certain type or size of needle? Does sewing on paper dull the needle so that you would want to change it out before using it on clothing?
I sew but hadn't thought of that! Maybe have a separate needle for your paper. Also Jess did use an awl first to poke the holes so that wouldn't effect the needle. 🙂 Hope that helps.

This is wonderful! I’ve been wanting to make a journal with pictures of the quilts I’ve made and this would be perfect! Does sewing through the original pattern envelope cause it to rip?
Great gift from one of your followers! I have my dress patterns from '69-'74. The commercial promo boxes I am not interested in seeing. They use wasteful packaging. The plastic is so polluting to manufacture and isn't biodegradable. Bummer!
Ah . I sew too but have so many patterns! Since I'm new to junk journaling I looked over my patterns and just pulled a few that I really liked but knew I would never sew ( out of style, size too small) So repurposing the cover of the pattern for a journaling cover I get to enjoy it that way!
This was a great tutorial, thank you for going over the stitching! I have so many old patterns and wasn’t sure what to make with them!! Thank you!
How Cute!!! That came together SO Quickly...an encourament to those of us who think making a journal has to be this great, big deal. THANKS!
This was so quick and easy. Lots of Love, Light and Laughter Forever!

Treasure Books has a great zipper lesson.😊
For a zipper idea, Artymaze did a zipper pocket that was fun to make.
How fun was that😻!

Hi. Hello. Howdy. From Texas. Awesome. Thank you. More, please.
A fantastic journal
You can make zipper tags with the zippers. I have made a few of those. Enjoyed your video!!!
Do you have any pictures of the tags? Or is there a video you got instructions for the tags?

Love your videos
Loved this do you have more videos on the use of sewing machine? Also what type of needle and instrument do use for the spine sewing of the book. X
Love this!
Love it!😻
Great thanks 😊
Super cute😊
Loved this Thank you 🤗
Would giving it a thin coat of mod lodge type product help keep it from falling apart
So cute ❤❤❤❤.
I know a lady doing a sewing journal paperlace and some deb 🤗🤗

Cute, but as someone who sews, it killed me to watch you make that, lol

In the 70s!
What was the name of the thread you used to sew the signature?
Wax thread

I cringe, when l see vintage patterns, and buttons removed from perfect cards, to be used for projects. But, thats just me. 😢
