No shooter/spotter duo should be this good. When I seen the pitch on that scope base, I knew this video would be a treat and it certainly was. Have a good weekend, you two 😊
You folks are so much more interesting to watch than the others that I see Simply because of the precision involved and stretching underdog guns and ammo
That fly back always amazs me. You know its a long way when the sheds and silos almost disappear and the target was a padock further back. Cheers from Victoria.
.22-250 sheesh. That pan out camera view at the end really puts it perspective. Squeezing every last bit out of that round. Much more than a woodchuck shooter!
This is the foundation of innovation. Why do they do it? Because, it not only proves a theory but also supports the awesomeness of mankind’s creativity.
Nice seeing the 22 cal at ELR. I've been shooting a 22-250AI with a 1/8 twist and loading 80-88 grain ELD's at 1 mile for several years, and we are shooting at an 19"x19" plate. Except when the wind is high, we are hitting about 75-80%. I've never tried over 2,000 yards with such a small caliber, so even with no hits at such an extended range, it is nice to see it really reach out there.
Years ago I built a 22x257 Ackley. Started with a 257 Ackley necked down for 22 caliber. Shot 80gr Bergers at 3710 fps from a 28" Shilen barrel, 7 twist. Only needed 17 min elevation at 1000yds with a 100 yd zero. Had enough energy to sometimes shoot all the way through 1" mild steel plate at 500 yds. The ground hogs were not impressed. lol
Now that’s something I’d like to try…I’m pushin the 95gr v max .264” in prc case round 3600fps from 24” carbon bsf on waypoint…dyin to test on varmit but 20oz bottles end up few counties over….wicked expansion
Impressive! I didn't see the barrel twist details but surprised the bullets are holding together at that velocity. The problem I recently learned about shooting heavy 22's is the twist required to stabilize them limits their max velocity due to high RPM and jacket limitations.
Thanks for posting! Am always willing to learn... Have you ever worked with 300 RUM? Specifically Rem PSS w/26" bbl and Sierra 190 gr matchking? Currently, finding the ranges to use safely are hard to find it seems. Cheat sheet says that it's still super at 1100...
LOL....very consistant....what a set-up!!! ..... in the old days we were chasing the target at 1400-1500.....great shoot.... review your footage, because you appeared to be unsettled at first, anticipating the squeeze a little bit, but we didn't shoot as good as you do when we were doing our thing 50+years ago.....great video.....I still hunt with my old 250-3000 (never owned the 22 cal version.....never need one) and still sometimes shoot my old custom model 70 (it only weighs 6.3 pounds, no muzzle brake, I am 70 years old, it hurts my neck nowadays to shoot it with the 220 grain so I don't shoot it often)...... anyway I never shot lots of paper ..... I will say you sure shoot well.....cool gadgets nowadays for sure....I do enjoy the videos
have you guys ever tried different metals for bullets or just buy off the shelves? i'm slowly learning and so far most bullets are lead, just wondering if possible to make bullets with other types of metal(for target practice only of course) lead is heavier than titanium, would a bullet made in titanium (set aside the cost) have a faster velocity or drop elevation slower? could it survive the blast of the cartridge and would it affect the rifle as in "only use bullets intended for the specific rifle" ect..? (only using titanium as an example) thanks, cool videos by the way 😎
lol. My first thought was 250 moa before seeing it. That’s wild shooting for a 22-250. Your rifle designs should be used by snipers. Can’t imagine what that little rifle there can do at even 1500 yards.
I have not looked back at your vids, but have you shoot a 7mm rem mag ? I have a 1970s Ruger # 1 with a 25 in. barrel was wondering what's the best load. I have a Sharps 50-140 I use for long range.
We have videos on 7mmRem Mag the basics of ammo is mentioned in them, but our handloads are something that suit a particular rifle, not a general cartridge, Cheers
Do they make a reticle that is hair thin with (for lack of a better term) a pin point center dot? I only ask because the center mark in your scope almost covers the entire target at these distances.
bullet must be stable we shot some 22250 and swift at 1000 but with only 52gr bthp and they was sideways. but we didn't know alot bout shooting at that time....long range heavy bullets twist rates ect...Great Vid 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯👍👍👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺
Never the less a very good effort for the 250. I wouldn't like to be standing out there. Hit in the big toe or arse it's gonna hurt. LOL, great work. BTW that is still a bloody good spotting scope to see anything at that range.
Quite a challenge, that was. Great! Could you give us some info regarding the light reducer and the thought behind it? Thanks and have a lovely weekend both.
That second to last shot, where you guys were not quite sure where it landed, the mics picked up a ding from the plate and could have been bottom right corner. Even if it was a ricochet I'd take that as a win.
I don't know how you do it on the fly, a bunch i have to back up to see them and i only see the shadow from the dirt plume, not the actual impact point
When you say target barrel, do you mean straight contour barrel? Do you notice a performance difference between the very heavy barrels and mid-heavy or palma barrels?
For a second, I though that 4th shot of the last group (shot taken at 9:07) connected because you can here the shot report at 9:13 and then a 9:15 you here the "ting" but then after listening a few times, it sound like the round must have hit ground right in front and kicked up dirt onto the target being that just before the "ting", you here the "thump" like a soft ground impact. Also, when I first saw the title, I was thinking, "Is Mark really going to try to stretch a 22LR or 22WMR out to 3k yards?!?!?!?!"
Hell at first I thought its 22lr at 3000 and I was like WTF lol
Lol!!
Me too!
Haha same here!
Yep got me as well 😂😂, great vid as always cheers Yogi 🤙✌️
I thought the same
7.7 seconds flight time of that little projectile, incredible.
Thanks Man
That's a long way for that little projectile! Great as always.
Agreed, Cheers
No shooter/spotter duo should be this good. When I seen the pitch on that scope base, I knew this video would be a treat and it certainly was. Have a good weekend, you two 😊
Awesome, thanks Will, Cheers
that pitch was insane, looked like the barrel was in the way
You got closer than I thought possible with that wind. Well done.
Thanks Colin
Every time I get a notification of you two, I know it’s going to be good. Making me want to be better everyday. Love you guys!!!!
Thank you very much Daniel. All the best to your & yours. Cheers
You two never cease to amaze me! Great work as always!!!

Its the accent... British accents are badass on a sniper.
That fly back always amazs me. You know its a long way when the sheds and silos almost disappear and the target was a padock further back. Cheers from Victoria.

Wow that's a long way for that calibre, so cool to see it in action
Thanks Tim, Cheers

Quite incredible! I love the obvious passion you both share. Thanks for bringing us along the journey!
Cheers Man
Amazing stuff Mark
Thanks Paul
Great vid and guys. Everytime there's a bullet yardage limitation debate I always share your vids with the doubters.
Lol, Cheers Man
Fine shooting, Mark. Outstanding rifle too.
Thanks Man, Cheers
Unbelievable... Great!!!
Thanks Walter
Well done!
Thanks Howard

Bloody great as usual. Thanks for sharing. That rifle is so stable. Greetings from NZ. ❤
Cheers Man
The hard angle on the scope haha 230 !! Well done team.
Cheers
👍😊 the first round was so close.
Yep, lol, Cheers
Love the mdt chasis put the same one on my 308 and it was a completely different rifle you two are awsome keep it up
Cheers Man
The fact that they can even come so close to impact at that distance amazes me!
Cheers Mike
HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE 💥 , makes chuck conners look like elmer fudd .
Lol, cheers
Getting that close with that tiny bullet tells me how good you two are!! Now I’m doing a deep dive on your channel lol😂
Awesome, Cheers Mike
Very cool guys. such a small round so far out...grouped really well. Great shooting as always!
Thanks Stig, Cheers
Absolutely insane shooting.
Cheers Man
Damn thats a far piece for that tiny projectile. You both are one, if not the best, spotter and shooter i have seen. Great video as always.
Thank you so much Dave. Glad you liked. Cheers
I don't know what to call you, but you're a genius, you need to participate in the Olpiad, luck for you to hold on like this,
Cheers Man, thanks
Nice! Well done
Thanks Brad
And i thought the 223ai at a mile was astounding. Or the 22gt at 2720. This is good stuff.
Thanks Man, Cheers
I misread the title as "22LR at 3000 yards". And well, if that were to be the case, I'm sure they would find a way to hit the target regardless.
Lol. Thanks John. Cheers
A mortar rifle with the scope perpendicular on the target… 😂😂
I misread that too!! :D

Thanks Man
I like this Channel so much
Awesome, Cheers
OH.... COME... ON !!!!! 🤣 Love your vids mate
Lol, Cheers
1966, had a rem 700 bdl varmint special, (heavy bull barrel), very very accurate. Wish I never sold it.
Thanks Bob
Impressive!

7.7 :1 all listed below video, Cheers
Haha what in the world, great team.
Lol, Cheers
Lobbed in like a rainbow for that round at that distance 😂 amazing work!
Cheers
Great job just being able to call the shots.
Thanks Randy
You guys are great. Hello from alaska
Thanks Anthony

Pretty much a 1 MOA rifle at that distance.. Not bad!! 👍
Thanks Jeff
You get an A for effort 👏
Cheers
Good video guys 👍👍
Thanks Dave
Squeezing every last dram of energy out of the old 22-250 caliber!!
Lol. Yep sure trying to. Cheers
Great try guys that's pretty windy for that little bullet!!
Yep it is only a little one, going a long way that's for sure. Thanks Loren. Cheers and all the best
Awesome test

We have lots of videos on those sorts subjects, glad you liked, Cheers
On the fifth shot you can just see it fall of space😂 and splash by the target! Wild!
Lol, Cheers
Sometimes small insects travel more than big birds, that 22 did the same.
Lol, Cheers
That first shot was very close you did very well with all off them considering the caliber 👍🏼
Thanks Wayne
Excellent.
Cheers
Good job 🤗
Thanks Man
Insane. Getting to within 1 target plate is crazy good on a 22-250.

That's a perfect gun in Calendar for both Arizona to Pennsylvania. Small game of course.
Cheers Nick
Question, @1:35 when you remove your scope caps you can see your scope move independently of the rifle, why is this?
The design of scope, we have a review, Cheers
Quite a challenge, that was. Great! Could you give us some info regarding the light reducer and the thought behind it? Thanks and have a lovely weekend both.
Thanks man, and old school target scope tech, cuts down the amount of light to clean the image, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork sounds interesting. Sometimes when I’m shooting in bright light, it might be something I’d need,
The next to last shot didn’t hit, I thought I heard the steel ring? Awesome??
Just some dirt flicked up, no hit, lol, Cheers
@1:33 The whole scope moves. What in the witch craft are you using.

230 mil elevation? How many times did you wind the dial around Mark? My Vortex only goes to 31 MRAD
moa Shane, and has 50 per turn, Cheers
Mark I would love to come and take a class from you and Sam
Thanks Sterling
So would the rest of us I think, I know I’d be there in a hart beat
Almost 200 yards of drop 😮😮😮
The nature of ELR... Cheers
If you have any tips for the apps. Let us know. Some still dont have data for 300 prc.
Good apps like Strelok that we use, don't have cartridge data, they will sometimes have projectile data, but then use your data!
Parabéns excelente show
Thanks Lucian
those are some big 22lrs! xD
Lol, Cheers
the scope seems to be loose at @1:35, when mark touches it. Is there an explanation?
How it works, we have a review on them, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork ok thanks for the info, ill check it out
Amazing how you manage to stretch a 22 out that far.... what's next?? A slingshot to 2k yards?? 😅😅
Lol, Cheers
They already done that 😂😂
Are you having to load those rounds a little hot to make them reach those distances
No, Cheers
I took a close up look at it. I have a oryx stock
Awesome
As usual, all details on rifle are listed below the video, Cheers
Why is the scope so loose in the rings? @ 1:34
th-cam.com/video/X-1wlakI4_o/w-d-xo.html
9:15 was pretty close. Sounded like it kicked something up or bounced up to hit the plate.
Yep, sure was

What balistique app calculateur u youse ?
Strelok Pro
No way he did that with that rifle
His entire scope shifted half an inch when he took the caps off at 1:35
Js lol

It sounded like something hit the plate one time.. must’ve been the splash
Yep, no paint off. Cheers
I wish I could use strelok pro but I can't because the US banned it. Man I wish I kept my old phone that had it. Anyways nice shoot like always.
Yeh it works well, Cheers man
I bet that non existent kick felt lovely after all those hard kicking rounds.

When you say target barrel, do you mean straight contour barrel? Do you notice a performance difference between the very heavy barrels and mid-heavy or palma barrels?
