- Looking for your First Drum Set? This is a review of a good table top electronic drum set. I chose the Pyle 7 Drum Pad Drum Kit (PTED06). I decided to do this review after spending hours doing research into the best choice for my family. If the kiddos show even more interest in drums we will eventually upgrade to a better set such as the Alesis FULL Turbo Mesh Drum kit shown below...but you would also need to invest in an AMP to make that happen. So that is why I chose the latest PYLE electronic drum that I reviewed in this video.

Electric sets are cool!
QUESTION: I am looking at a YAMAHA DTX532K or perhaps even the DTX542K.. My bro-in-law works for them and can get me an unspeakable discount. But, for now, I want to know a couple of things about the Pyle 7 Pad table top kit.
1. Can you plug in music from your iphone using a lightning to 3.5" Stereo input jack so that I can play along to music???
2. Can you download an iOS app to bluetooth or wifi into the controller and setup things instead of using the built-in controller? (I have difficulty since age 6 reading small print and the onboard ctrl will be very difficult for me
3. Do they make a stand for this? I have a 1979 Premier snare drum from 1979 so if it is compatable with a standard snare drum stand I can use that.
4. WIll I need ot use a headphone amplifier to boost my headphones to play in silence for those around me? And... what size is the headphone audio-out jack?
5. I use Mac OSX Catalina 10.15. The Mac Pro desktop computer. Can I connect Garage band to the Pyle 7 and export Garage drum kit sounds for each pad from Garage Band and save them to the Pyle 7?
6. Is there a way to record and store music you play onto your phone or something?
