I just got one of these so I can just walk around with a self-contained drum set anywhere I go. Works with fruit loop mobile. Roland stays home, but this will go in the RV with me or to work
Hi, I've just bought one of these after careful research and watching your review. I'm not a drummer but a guitarist/bassist and as soon as I started playing this I knew this would suite my purpose. I'm not great at programming drum machines etc... I now know that with a little practice I'll be able to lay down some decent rhythm tracks in my daw.
I didn't think it sounded good in the room at first, but when you went direct, it didn't sound that bad at all, and being that way you can hook it up to EZ drummer... Etc, that is awesome !!! If I ever have to move back to NYC again and live in a tiny apartment, I'd rather that then no drums at all for sure !!! I do have the Yamaha DTX MULTI 12 though, and that really has held up over time for sure !!! Especially for hand percussion !!! You can push down to change tuning and everything. Still a really rad pad !!! Plus 12 pads is perfect for anything you really need for a mini set, plus extra inputs for a snare and I think 2 or 3 more pads to make a small drum set. Thanks for the fun review !!! :-)
Yeah, those DTX and Roland multipads are the best. But for us poor people we have Alesis or the Avatar that Justin also reviewed. I prefer the Avatar if I go this way.
Thanks for the video. I already have a Roland electronic drum kit for my apartment, but was strongly considering a table top unit like this for when I travel, or go visit family. Seems like a decent way to still be able to practice when not at home.
I like how the high hat is in the middle. My Yamaha dd65 is nice but you still have to crossover which is not as easy on a tabletop set. Tabletop sets ultimately though are a blast!
Very cool review!! I liked that it was easy to hook to the pc and the bluetooth option!! What would be cool is if you could hook up other pads or pedals. 👍😀
I just bought this in Beijing China. Only cost 400 rmb that is about 50 dollars when you buy it directly from the factory via the online shop here in China.
Ive always wanted those little drums before I finally got the more limited, but better constructed 4 pad KAT ktmp1. What I dont understand is why those companies dont simply make an octapad version of those units ???
I had the same Pyle set you reviewed way back. I ended up getting the Yamaha DD 75. I really like that tabletop set because you can buy a bass drum kick pad and use a real kick pedal. I also just got a cheap hi hat pedal. These kits all seem to come with those buttons. You do an excellent job playing with the stock foot control but I have a really hard time with them they seem to move a lot and they're just harder to get used to.
Thank you for posting our products, this is ED-01 from our factory. Now we have a new type of ED-02, which is more cost-effective. If you are interested, please inquire.
Hey! What's the latency like when you use it as a midi instrument with DAWs? I use FL Studio (on PC) and live in a "no loud music" household. Looking for the best, and more affordable e drum kit out there. this one's really catching my eye so far. TIA and thanks for the awesome review!
Sup man! I'm just wondering, does this have those "velocity sensitive" thingy where it's accurate with how strong you hit the pads? Thanks! would really appreciate a reply! :)
Hey DS, is this a worthwhile purchase for someone like me who's trying to learn to play open-handed? I have the Pyle PTED06 and I can't make a custom open-handed kit patch due to the hi-hat pedal being connected to the snare pad only. Also, how do the pedals fare compared to the other tabletop kits? Thanks!
Hello i like all the video that i see on your chanel . I want to buy a table drum for use with headphone watt is the best the Konix or the Pyle it is hard for me to make a decision ?
I would say they're pretty close. The Konix does more stuff, but maybe the pyle feels made a little better? Also Yamaha DD65 or DD75 often pop up on the used market for $100-$150. Both of those are great.
BTW, I now have a similar pad and I like it but hate the pedals. see you mentioned Rockband pedals in another comment; would they just work as-is when plugged in to a 3.5 mm pedal port? Could I also somehow use my Alesis pedals for when I want to take my pad on the road (was thinking 1/4" to 3.5 mm converter)? It's called a Rocksocki electronic tabletop drum set and it has two pedal inputs.
I wanna know if you can have different musical instruments related to percussion. Example: latin congas, güiro, timbal ... Does it have it in the internal instruments?
what do you think is better for someone who's atleast half a year into drumming? this one or the lekato one? i kinda like the lekato for the quality but this one is cheaper so idk what to get
In the market for one of these table top drum sets. How does this compare to the Pyle, which was at the top of my list after seeing that review? They are both about the same price.
Hey I know this video is old but how did you record the internal sounds of the drum pad to your computer? I have an interface so would it be the line out to the instrument cable then in an input on my interface? Hope you can help me out with that
I'm guessing the Bluetooth is only for input, like drumming along with your phone. Because once you hear your music, it's easy to play along in real time. I'm guessing Bluetooth output would be way too laggy. You'll probably want to use the internal speaker, or a wired pair of headphones for output.
I forgot to mention that this thing is RECHARGEABLE!!! Run it without external power, and no batteries needed! How cool is that?? Very cool!
Does the Drumpad has velocity sensitivity?
how bout Double floor tom i has?

for anyone in the EU looking for this, it is sold as the OYAYO Electronic Drum Kit here

Greg the keyboard guy?
planning to buy one because of your review

Agreed!
Only convenient for 16th notes
@@demonicsweaters I have a question. Is it possible to upgrade the bass drum pedal and the hi hat pedal?
Very cool review!! I liked that it was easy to hook to the pc and the bluetooth option!! What would be cool is if you could hook up other pads or pedals. 👍😀
yeah, no expansions on this baby. But it's a simple fun device. You don't really need them.

What would you recommend. This (same as the Pyle PTED08) or the Pyle PTED06?
These types of things sound so much better when you have drum less songs playing along with it. Blends in the crap sounds.

Hola compré una de esa y no puedo configurar la octapad parquer ED01 me podes explicar como puedo hacerlo
hello, have preset cross stick effect on it or what they call side snare built in????
can you connect via bluetooth to external speakers?
no
can it be save on every tom/pad changed?
for example user01, user02 etc
Thank you in advance!

Yes it does

what is the best bang for your buck when it comes to tabletop drums in your opinion please? Thanks
Avatar PD705 amzn.to/49gG6Y0 + 2 PDL-HH191 pedals amzn.to/4azsYOR
How do you compare the sound quality from the konix to the pyle pted 06?
can you playing rim click on that drum pad???
Hello, is it possible to change the position of the snare and high hat?
No
I wanna know if you can have different musical instruments related to percussion. Example: latin congas, güiro, timbal ... Does it have it in the internal instruments?
I believe so
Very nice! What portable/travel-friendly kit would you recommend for USB midi out to a VST?
My favorite is still the Avatar PD705 amzn.to/3C8wSm3

I would say the Pyle seems a bit more well made and solid.
Hi can anyone tell me if I can change the configuration of the pads
How do I adjust the sensitivity? i caaaaaaaaan´t do iiit
Can I go directly into my Tascam 24 track recorder?
yes
Does it have Bluetooth OUT to speakers eg. JBL partybox. ?
Thanks.
yep
Hello! Is it still working up to this day? Thank you!
I gave it away, so I’m not sure
@@demonicsweatersCan this be used for games? Thank you for responding by the way! Great vid.

What you said is exactly how you'd do it. Line out from the drums, line in to the interface.
Can you use a different kick trigger with that?
it will work in drum triggers? i hope you respond
This model no, if you want something you can expand, I recommend the PD705 amzn.to/45GKhwh
Off topic, what brand/model is that white microphone?
That is an XML DRK, a real hidden gem amzn.to/3NlvcYN
Do I have to buy a usb or an adapter to connect my phone to my drum kit ?
it depends on the drum kit
Where can I find the stand for this drum?
Use a snare stand amzn.to/4hqCxE8
Would this work for Clone Hero?
Yeah, it should
Is it pressure sensitive?
Yes.
Is this velocity sensitive?
Yes
How to connect sound to amplifier?
use the audio/headphone out
how about the hardware? is the quality good?
I wouldn't say it's strong enough for gigging or hours of upon hours of pounding, but it's a fun toy that does quite a lot.
hi, is this compatable for clone hero?
I didn't try it, but it should work!
Does it have latency?
in what context?
Can I connect this to fl studio
yep!
Can this drum use kick pad??
only the ones it comes with, unless you make some kind of DIY thing.
@@demonicsweaters okay. Thanks
@@demonicsweaters what type jack? 3.5 or 6.5?
Is this plug and play?
In what sense? For what app? The MIDI connection is, yes.
How do you connect via Bluetooth? Is there a way to do Bluetooth audio out to earbuds?
No, this is not possible on any drums. Bluetooth has too much latency for real-time drumming.
@@demonicsweaters thanks. Would you mind explaining how the advertised Bluetooth functionality works?

How do you compare the sound quality from the konix to the pyle pted 06?
I have videos of both. Chem em out, see which one you like better
