For stains, tea tree oil left to soak for a good 20 mins does wonders. It works really well with clothing but I've used it on carpet and upholstery and rugs. It struggles with blood stains, but I've actually used it to get WD40 out of a sweatshirt! Heavily recommend!

You need an enzyme based stain remover for any cat urine for sure…. Nothing else will get rid of it, even with that it’s tough! Our cat of 4 yrs, just recently decided to pee in the corner of our living room…. Unfortunately, my husband and I were out of town the week it began and our barely adult/still teenager kids reported to us a bad smell of unknown origin…. Once we were home, we were immediately focused on our youngest daughter & her health…. She was having a medical crisis and needed serious medical attention…. So the next days/weeks were 100% consumed with her health and hospitalization… needless to say, it was 2-3 weeks before we could truly investigate and figure out which cat was doing it, etc… but…. In that short time I can get rid of the smell and I tried everything! He only did this in the one room downstairs with carpet. So, what did I do? I cut out that corner of the carpet and pad. If there is any remnant of the scent they will continue to return to the spot…. That’s what my vet says anyway. So, next in my list is to get new flooring! Yay! Expensive little accident this guy had! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
every time i do a deep clean on a rug that looks mostly clean, that gets vacuumed and spot cleaned regularly, and the water comes out black for like 5 or 6 rounds, i find myself wondering if using rugs is even remotely sanitary at all. definitely worse for allergies, no way it's not. they get so gross so fast and i dont even allow shoes to be worn on the them
Yea, Washwater from cleaning walls and all other surfaces sure looks like that from inside a cigarette smokers home, like back when everyone still smoked ondoors. Their laundry wash water looked like that too. Yuuk. Iam so greatful that nowadays my smoking homies go outdoors to smoke !!! ...and i dont get Broncitis 4xs a year anymore from the second hand smoke. 😅
