    BZ: don't cut metal near GPUs, that should go without saying
    Me: sadly shuts down my angle grinder

    This is a great video. You're doing the lord's work. I have a 3060 ti and I'm not going to mod it, but it's nice to know how and I know I could if I wanted to with the info you gave, so thanks.

    Wish u would of ran some benchmarks or at least said the expected performance increase of the memory mod. That said love the unique content u make

    hey awesome guides you have. i just got the gigabyte 4090 gaming oc with the same controller uP 9512R, have you tried just using offset yet with the refadj pin still connected. Just trying not to mod the card too much. I got the elmor evc also but I know it only allows like 150mv offset, but that would be enough for me, just need to find sda and scl. still also have to learn how to determine what trim pot to use. I think I remember something like the resistance times 10

    I know this is a bit off topic, but I have to ask:
    Do you have any opinions on New World continuing to kill 30 series graphics cards, and do you believe it may point to an architectural flaw with regards to the PCB designs that are being used on those cards? Or does the issue - if it even is an issue at all - go even deeper than that?

    Any plans to start ASOC and update the code-set on the VRM RISC(s) so you don't need to preform so many janky hardware mods? Range of voltage [desired low to upper limit the plane supports] code mod prior to AHOC? Most of the controllers you bypass with hardware support a voltage range in code.. Just sayin'

  • @NormanPAquino

    Since this is your daily card, do you set the voltages daily and for what purpose?
    Also, will the EVC2 work on it? Do you know where the i2c pins are? Thanks.

    For your core voltage mod, couldn't you have used one three pole switch instead of two? Where pins 1 and 3 are your potentiometer and REFin, respectively, and the middle pin the output? Or did I misunderstand the wiring, and you are removing REFin altogether?

      yeah I could've but I wanted the option to have offset voltage control. Which would be REFADJ connected at the same time as the potetiometer.

    I was able to get a 3060 and haven't put it into a PC yet, I'll have all the parts by xmas. Its the MSI Gaming X Trio 3060, so as I understand it its a good choice to manually overclock with a shuntmod. Would you recommend using conductive ink for this or getting someone comfortable with soldering to do a proper workaround?

    • @ChillPokePulls
      @ChillPokePulls 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please do not mod your card for the minimum gains you will see. The fact you asked if you could use conductive ink tells me, DO NOT MOD YOUR CARD. Modding electronics isn't something you just wake up and start doing one day. It takes a decent bit of experience and knowledge with electricity and schematic reading. Not to mention that bad soldering and poorly made mods = bad for expensive card. If you are convinced to do it. I highly recommend getting a 50 dollars solder, flux, lead, alcohol. And practice on some scrap electronics before you go modding your 3060. Compare your practice solder with examples of good solder jobs. Also be sure to use a proper shunt, made of proper material. MODDING VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY. IF YOU MESS UP. THEY WILL SEND YOUR CARD BACK AND LOL.

      That's the video where he gets it running as fast as a 3080 on air by removing the vram and soldering it directly to the core and changing the voltages and timings a certain way to almost defy the laws of physics in a provable way. After a nobel prize the method will be used by all gpu manufacturers going forward.
