    stickier compound drift tires are used for higher speed tracks where you need to really throw the car into a slide. The higher friction coefficient is required to overcome the higher speed and vice versa. lower grip tires are for smaller technical tracks where you don't have the space to build up momentum to throw the car into a deep angle slide.
    You can use the high grip tires on a smaller track if you have the power to brute force the slide. You would need much smoother throttle control but that is more difficult with these small transmitter trigger throttles.

    I dig your garage track lay out! I noticed some wheels without tires have flex to them vs some wheels have no flex when I squeeze them between my index and thumb finger.

    The GoolRc drift tires are actually MST tires. If you look at the sidewall they say Max Speed Technology

    It looked like you were drifting much better with the cheap amazon tires.

      It’s funny because The slide looks a lot nicer but the direction and accuracy wasn’t there bit definitely has potential with the right tune. In one of my other videos I tested some new rubber ones that I actually like better but I need to rebalance the car weight to use them. I might try some settings for both. I think the big thing that I’m learning with the yokomo tires is they are forgiving for beginners.

    Hey! I plan to drift outside, mainly on asphalt surface. Any recommendations on tires for Tamiya TT02?

    Hey man! Which type of tape did you use here to cover the cracks in the floor? Trying to do this in my garage as well. Thank you

      I just used 2 layers of duct tape. Not perfect but it worked ok.

      yokomo has a asphalt specific tire and they seem solid, last pretty long even on a decently rough surface and i haven’t tried them on a slicker surface but i think they’d perform decent there as well

    What would you recommend for drifting on vinyl floor?

      Pretty sure regular plastic tires work good on vinyl. Usually they will have some kind of rating so you know for sure tho.

    Id use the rubber tires in the front ..... And the yokomo in the back

    • @ThirdWheelExclusive
      @ThirdWheelExclusive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought the same thing at first but the inconsistency between the traction actually makes the car very prone to spinning out. The rear would drift and the front would stick making it way harder to control.
