i have chromes mine are not overly tight to fit in. but the balance of my mst are so bad.... only reason why i really don't like them. they do look sick tho. i want to try the ds racing ones.
If you go to hobby lobby they make a debonder for ca glue I would still only use dot of gel glue but with the debonder you won't take any of the chrome finish
@@ScaleScience think I could get away with like a Testers mode glue? Or I might need something a little stronger? Thanks for the help! Your videos have been incredibly useful to a new drifter like me. Keep up the solid content!
Hi! Is it possible to insert the rim face of the MST set by the other side? I mean, to achieve more negative offset and to have the face aligned with the barrel. Thanks.
As far as I know, only if you make them. Most people used to glue the face to the inner most part of the barrel for display rims but I don’t know how long they would hold up under use that way
Most newer released bodies have a wider front factory around 200mm. Mustangs are nice and wide. I prefer just including *atleast* front over fenders on the car. Looks nice and scale and makes fitting wheels easier for my personal setup preferences.
@@ScaleScience I’m just a sucker for scale, so I’m looking mostly at cars that have a similar wheelbase & width IRL. The 2 bodies I got atm are the 275mm wheelbase version Yokomo JZX100 & the real grade Addiction Yaris GR. Both are true to scale, but nowhere near the desired width 😂
So if I glue the mst wheels can I still change the tire when it’s time for new ones ? I currently have the DS racing ones and it’s kinda hard to change tires and annoying because of the screws.
For the MST’s, how secure is that center wheel cap compared to a traditional wheel nut? I purchased a pair of V16D Work Equip 03’s and it came with some.
Imo no adjustable wheel will ever have the feel of a flexible high traction wheel because of their design they are bulky in the ideal area for generating flex. That said, I do think you could mimic the feel of high traction wheels with unsprung weight though it may not feel as responsive with the added weight!
Thank you!
Love the MST wheels. Makes it easy to paint the centers too.
I would agree with the chrome tolerance being super tight. There definitely firmer aswell

What kind of glue would you recommend using?
A dot of super glue. I like gel so it stays in a dot

Only one way to find out. Let us know what you come up with
@@ScaleScience Haha ok! I'll make some tests
🔥No doubt I slipped hard on that ice🤙
Can you run those rims with rotors And callipers? I can not they seem to rub. What is your suggestion if I want to keep the rotors and callipers on?
Swap to smaller rotors or different wheels would be easiest
Are there any true +13 offset wheels, adjustable or not, or maybe even +14?

@@ScaleScience Thx, I think I’m good with +12 😂
Btw do you know of any body that’s extra wide in the front?

Dont glue the tires, glue the wheel. The DS wheels shouldn’t be glued, use the screws. You don’t need to disassemble the wheel to get the tires off.

The cap just covers the nut to look more like a real car.
My question is what one has the most traction of the two? Like can I use MST wheels for the style look and the traction instead of using Toplines?

Which CA glue gel is that? Or i mean brand?
I use gorilla brand from the local hardware store
Where should i get the smaller nuts so i can fit my optional bullet lugs on the drift element wheels?
Your local drift track! Otherwise from us!
Do you only need to smaller nut if you have the added lung nuts?
What car u got
Legit, 👍
The MST are far better than DS Racing
Those adjustable mst wheels are trash. Unbalanced and always coming apart..
unbalance, sorry
