@@wintersong2266 I don’t remember where but I remember reading something about the disease being transmissible through bodily fluids (which would explain why bites are usually a guaranteed infection) so it would be viable that the zombie blood is the canon way he got infected. I assume if it was a bite there would’ve been a detail or he would’ve probably turned too quick to make the temp cure (it’s still possible though because idk if its mentioned in DR2 but in OTR it’s said some people turn faster than others)

Quick Tip about the helicopter fight 35:14 Use the ping-pong ball gun and try to shoot it between the rotors of the helicopter. The ping-pong balls technically do damage, but it’s minuscule. However thanks to the game physics, each ball bounces rapidly between the copter and the blades so fast that it multiplies the damage and destroys it in seconds.

Their actual was going to be a dr5 that was in development for awhile. It’s rumored to have been a prequel and the main character would’ve been a younger chuck green. You should look it up the footage available online is really interesting.

My personal theory is, that DR Of the Records, is a re-telling of DR2 but Frank West wrote himself into it. It feels like he wrote a book about it and replaced Chuck with himself and we as the reader get to explore Frank's telling of the events
Well it wouldnt make sense to add the whole chuck psycho boss fight though. Also rebecca survived in off the record while in DR2 she died from that gunshot so it would be kind of weird tbh
Here's how it happened: both Chuck and Frank were in the Fortune City shooting the TIR episode. When the outbreak happened and the blame fell on Chuck (who just gone cuckoo, thinking that he lost Katie during the similar sircumstances) Frank didn't believe in any of it. Snapping Greene out of it, they both working together with Rebecca and Sullyvan and uncovering the plot. As for Katey - she was just kidnapped by TK or Phenotrans jabronies, showing the symptomes of improved resilience to the virus (let's say she needs a shot every 48 hours instead of 24). More reason for Frank and Chuck break into the Phenotrans facility, after they reach the Channel 6 on the radio. Yep, Stacey is the Phenotrans plant. Yep, Sullyvan is the good guy.
I absolutely adore this series, and I am super glad to have grown up with it. And to all the people out there in the comments who somehow managed to find something to enjoy in DR4, you guys have my full respect. You managed to find something you enjoy in something absolutely hate, and I can't help but find that awesome.
To be honest i only enjoyed dr4 because i always wanted to explore willamette outside of the mall, that and a few small things, but other than that, awful game. hopefully next year something will be said about a new dead rising game!

I enjoyed not having a timer like in the other games, like timed missions and events are stressfull and i like taking my time exploring and doing things at my own pace, having to worry about timed events or bosses takes the fun out of it

DR3 was good for me only because of the nostalgia when I was a kid who loved DR2 and was happy to get a new xbox one and to have DR3 as the first game to play on it while now I think DR3 was pretty bad while DR2 is an amazing 9/10 and would be a 10/10 for me if there was proper controller support for the game on steam

Quick Tip for Dead Rising 1, when you first fight Carlito Keyes at the food court you should find a mannequin and break it to get a mannequin torso. Use this on Carlito as you will beat him and most other psychos in 2-3 hits same can apply if you use the mini chainsaws from Adam the clown combined with 3 books to increase the durability. With that the 1-3 chainsaws will last you the whole game.

Considering the story of Dead Rising 3, I still feel the Dead Rising 2 : Off the record is canon story-line that fits more better. The whole way Chuck and his daughter turn out seem to fit better if they made it seem that he really did think he lost his daughter. That's why he becomes the way he does in DR3.

In my personal head canon, Dead Rising 1, the first issue of Dead Rising: Road to Fortune, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are the only ones that exist.
Vik Chu has got to be the worst person I can think of. She baited Frank into a guarded military outpost, caused a ruckus and outbreak, then left Frank alone, all while gaslighting him into thinking he’s a monster who would do anything for a scoop. I dropped the game afterwards because her character infuriated me that much.
In my canon mind for DR2, Both Ending S is canon with ending A being part of that. Chunk and Stacy would call up for rescue again, and would play out like ending A. Its my opinion tho
If they going to make a dead rising 5. They should do a mix of 1 & 3. Make the game more the zombles more active , bring back boesess but tougher , bring back 72 hrs or 5 days back have time go down faster , items more scares , bring back survior escort mix beween 1 & 3.
Dead Rising 4 didn't have an amazing story but the Christmas aesthetic, and the gameplay was really fun. Capcom have a tendency to listen to what fans want and a Dead Rising remake or DR5 will eventually happen.
Whenever I played Off The Record, I was so mixed. I LOVED getting to play as Frank West through 2. But then they decided to pull the twist that Stacey was actually the real villain all along, and I HATED it. I was only 16-17, but I had loved her character, so hated what the twist did to it.
Hunter from DR3 is such an odd choice for a DLC about him. In my opinion, he’s not much to talk about, dies as a first boss, and yea that’s pretty much it. So why the hell was he a great candidate as a DLC character?
Because he was cool looking, he's a biker who rides a steamroller motorbike. If he wasn't batshit crazy and the Confederate flag on his face, he would be main character material.

Hot take, I embraced every DR game. They were all fun in each way. My favorite is a toss between DR2 and DR3.

Considering the story of Dead Rising 3, I still feel the Dead Rising 2 : Off the record is canon story-line that fits more better. The whole way Chuck and his daughter turn out seem to fit better if they made it seem that he really did think he lost his daughter.
That's why he becomes the way he does in DR3.
The problem is that Katey herself is in DR3, and she got killed by zombies in the DR2 OTR timeline

This is just my opinion, but Frank West should’ve been a DLC character for the 3 dead rising game. It would explain why he’s depressed because he learns the truth about what Isabella did.

In my personal head canon, Dead Rising 1, the first issue of Dead Rising: Road to Fortune, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are the only ones that exist.
Vik Chu has got to be the worst person I can think of. She baited Frank into a guarded military outpost, caused a ruckus and outbreak, then left Frank alone, all while gaslighting him into thinking he’s a monster who would do anything for a scoop. I dropped the game afterwards because her character infuriated me that much.
In my canon mind for DR2, Both Ending S is canon with ending A being part of that. Chunk and Stacy would call up for rescue again, and would play out like ending A. Its my opinion tho

If they going to make a dead rising 5. They should do a mix of 1 & 3. Make the game more the zombles more active , bring back boesess but tougher , bring back 72 hrs or 5 days back have time go down faster , items more scares , bring back survior escort mix beween 1 & 3.

Dead Rising 4 didn't have an amazing story but the Christmas aesthetic, and the gameplay was really fun. Capcom have a tendency to listen to what fans want and a Dead Rising remake or DR5 will eventually happen.
I actually quite like the more technological stuff like the mech suits and the smart zombie. It has potential

Whenever I played Off The Record, I was so mixed.
I LOVED getting to play as Frank West through 2. But then they decided to pull the twist that Stacey was actually the real villain all along, and I HATED it.
I was only 16-17, but I had loved her character, so hated what the twist did to it.
Lovely story... Wish I gave it a chance when it first hit the shelves

Hunter from DR3 is such an odd choice for a DLC about him.
In my opinion, he’s not much to talk about, dies as a first boss, and yea that’s pretty much it.
So why the hell was he a great candidate as a DLC character?
Because he was cool looking, he's a biker who rides a steamroller motorbike. If he wasn't batshit crazy and the Confederate flag on his face, he would be main character material.

If you keep the whole, “my closest gang members left me for dead, so now I came back for revenge and killed them, and now I’m back on top again.” and just treat the island as a safe haven for criminals, people who wants to be off the grid, lawless people etc and start their own anarchy country, that would be cool, just need to get rid of the zombies.
