My husband has recently passed away suddenly. I was scrolling through the internet trying to find something that would lighten my spirit. I came across your Yvonne Coomber painting. I went out got some paint. Thank you so very much for bringing some joy again into my life. F
+Felice Atkinson I am so so sorry for your loss. And so glad the lesson helped comfort you. Thank you for letting me know. It makes me feel good to know the video are helping people. Big hugs
Lovely & thanks for great, quick instructions . I am having Art Day with my 7th grade granddaughter after school ~ I listened intently, took notes, took a few pictures , gathering the supplies, set up the table & I am ready to have a great afternoon doing your Floral Landscape Acrylic Painting (Yvonne Coomber Inspired ). THANK YOU SO MUCH ! Nana & Granddaughter from Bozeman MT
This is such a happy little painting- I can imagine it full size at least 24x30- what a beautiful addition to a room that needs a pick me up. I paint with my 5 year old grandson and he loves it and I may do this with him- Ill have to put drop clothes all over the place, but to have his art is a treasure. thanks for sharing this
I am SOOO glad I "stumblerd" over your fantastic videos! I started painting just a few months ago and was ready to give up. Now I've had people wanting to buy my tree-paintings. All thanks to you!!!
oh wow, I just remembered doing this was easy and fun to do apparently I must have done way more of your art then I thought lol to those who gave a thumbs down a big thumbs down to you! Angela is a great inspiration for newbies who are even afraid to try painting I give her a 2 thumbs up for having this video out there shes one of the reasons I love to paint now... thank you :)
Thank you Angela for showing a beginner painter and child painter that its possible to paint a work of art :). I love your teaching techniques, it gives hope to the "impossible' wanna be painter! I will try this, and hope my splattering will be as perfect as yours :)
Angela, I had seen this painting before and loved it but had no idea how to paint it. Thank you so much for showing us how. Oh by the way, not just kids only. Im 64 and can't wait to start it. lol
This is a great project for me and my two granddaughters ( 9 & 6). Thanks so much for the easy step by step instruction. So helpful! Bring more...I love it!
Wow this is amazing. I'm 54 next month and have never painted before but last week I bought some acrylic paint. This is the first tutorial I've watched and I'm going to try it later today. Thank you so much you are a very talented lady 🌹
Yvonne, I thoroughly enjoyed this painting, it was fun and you had a lot of different tips that I know I will use, Q-tips and toothbrush. Keep up the great work teacher, I'm sure your kids enjoy your classes very much.
I just painted this tonight... yeah, thats right, I painted something!!!! I feel so happy that I could paint something. You are a wonderful teacher. My painting look great! Thank you. Liked and subscribed!
Instead of using q-tips, I chose my stylus. Works fabulous! A h.s. friend of mine has asked me to do one for her. Wow! The first one I did is going to our neighbors daughter, she likes it. I painted a black frame white and dotted each corner and a few on the edges to mock the pic. Her room is black, white, red and gray. Thanks again! Sorry for blowing up your page but I love your style!
what i like is that you really took the time to show everyone how to do it first before you used time lapse . I really enjoyed it !! at first was going to do the rock painting but im in the middles of 2 projects dots on some rocks and painting and oceanic scene ...well after your video popped up and i was like oh wait i love this so ya that will be next thanks so much for sharing im learning so much from you already
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!! I have wanted to learn how to paint like Yvonne Coomber for so long but every time I looked at one of her paintings it all seemed so complicated! You have made my day and I cant wait to start painting!!! :D
A great tutorial, Angela! Very free and open. I hate painting things perfectly, so art like this is very nice! Great recreation of the original and very vibrant.
I love it. My almost 8yr old loves painting- planning a paint party for her birthday and we will definitely be using your step by step video. Thank You!
I did this at the senior assisted, great project! All the residents that said "I can't paint" were so pleased with their painting! Thank you, If you have any more like this please post.
Angela, I have been looking at many videos on youtube with this was the one that started me going. Made one yesterday that I was not happy with, so did another one today and it turned out well. Thanks a lot for your tutorial! Eva from Sweden
I have finished my third attempt and have proudly hung it on my wall it looks amazing. One day I will do a larger one. Thank you Angela for your lesson x
I have just spent a week in St Ives Cornwall and Yvonne's work is prominant in the galleries there. I loved it and thought when I got home I would have a go at reproducing some of it. This video is fantastic I can't wait to experiment Angela.
AHHH! I wish I had this years ago. I can't wait to try it! My craft supplies have been sitting here...literally like $10K worth of stuff...gathering dust bunnies. You are brilliant. Subscribed!
Angela Anderson I had an absolute ball painting this, and it came out so good I'm giving to to a friend as a birthday present. I have a 24 x 16 canvas that's been gathering dust for years that I think I'll use to make a big one for my home. I have a tendency to be too precise and fussy when I paint and this was extremely freeing for me--it was totally, totally fun and the results are downright joyful! Thank you for sharing this video on youtube!
Hi Angela-- I am doing an artist study of Yvonne Coomber and have just finished watching your tutorial and created my own --thank you this was very helpful Sharon :-)
Just put my piece in college book-- I found her work at the Lyndhurst Gallery in the New Forest earlier this year-- I was amazed at the beauty in her paintings!!!
I thought this was soo pretty! I did see some of these same paintings on pinterest, and I always said that I was going to try and replicate what i saw, but then I would get intimidated by it! You made it look so simple. Thank you for sharing, and for giving me that bit of confidence I needed to just try to do it myself! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your acrylic painting tutorial, I am an amateur painter, and I have learn a lot by watching your video, and I will try the technique, the landscape you've done is lovely and inspiring ! Joëlle from France
going to try one today and I'm excited! I love the happy colors and the ease of this painting. After googling Yvonne Coomber, I saw a lot of her paintings, all similar but all so pretty and bright. I love the palette choices . I usually do oil portraits, but this is instant gratification. I'm using an 18x24 canvas. Thanks for this!
This looks like so much fun! My kids are gonna have a playdate (with another family) and I'm going to secretly do this with the kids so they can deliver 'flowers' to their Mother on Mother's day!! I'm going to set it up in like a triptych (so each kid gets their own panel, but the middle will be the only one with a sun) I am SO excited!! Thank you, thank you.
Love love love this tutorial! I have been looking for painting lessons for my girls and this is my favourite find so far. We are nearly done our paintings and should finish today, so I will share them when they are ready. Thank you so much for posting!
Thanks for this tutorial! My 5 year old and I both loved following along and we now have mummy and daughter versions that look ace! So easy and fun to follow :)
This is fantastic......just dragged out my paints and brushes which have been idle for a few years. Your tutorial had me buzzed once again. Thank you for sharing.......Claudette
looks like so much fun, I am going to do and I have been painting for years, but I have stopped due to health, and this is one of those fun things and a no brainer. thanks.
1 more think, amazed by what the salt did and it didn't cost a whole lot of $$$$. I will definitely use this on my future abstract paintings so thanks again.
Hi Angela I did this project myself (i'm an adult, haha) and it came out awesome and I love it! Thanks so much for sharing :) Please keep posting painting projects!
Well I've just painted my first picture and I will probably only ever look at in secret I really enjoyed playing. I must say it doesn't look much like your beautiful painting but I really love it. Thanks a million for your easy instruction 💝
oh I love this, the colours are gorgeous, so simple yet so effective. I shall be passing this video over to my daughter inlaw for her and my grandson. he will love doing this with his mummy. I think I might have ago as well. lol it does say for beginners. lol thanks angela, another fab video. have a good day. xxx
I love this so much, great introduction for those new to painting and very adaptable and inexpensive for a group project. Hoping to have my family together to do this one
Such an uplifting piece! I love how happy your art work makes me feel! :) I will try this soon and see what I come up with. Thanks for sharing this video on TH-cam.
I find this type of thing to be very uplifting to young and old alike who have a desire to be artistic. Simple yet beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Was wondering if you had any ideas for mailbox painting with bluebonnets as the focal?
For mailboxes, I would use an acrylic that is meant for metal if you can find it or add a varnish to your paint so it will adhere better. I would probably go for three colors for the bluebonnets, and do medium color as a base then use the darker paint on one side and lighter color on the other. Simple, connected dabs of paint will give the indication of the blue bonnets (do the base shape as a cone of dots, barely touching). I would probably do a clump of green grass in two or three colors underneath with the flower cones pointing off in different directions at the top. Hope that helps.
You're paintings are beautiful and seem great for a newcomer like myself. I would love to see you draw the element in the original, or discuss how to best do that, of the reeds moving up in to the sun and sky. Thank you!
I'm making a craft room and this would definitely look great hanging on the walls. Thanks for sharing how to create this beautiful little painting. Love It 💜🖒👏👏👏🌼🌻🌷
I TRIED IT YESTERDAY & OMGOSH I TOTALLY LOVED IT & LOVED THE WAY IT CAME OUT. FIRST TIME PAINTING LOL WELL THIS WAS MY 2ND PAINTING I DID YESTERDAY (FIRST ONE WAS A TREE)... THANK U SOOO MUCH =) ♥
