Angela thank you! As a beginner I very much appreciate how the video included every single step and how you named the paint colours too! The size of the canvas is important as well. I am feeling encouraged today because I followed along with your instructions and completed this painting. Keep up the sharing which makes people happy!
+Christine Mclauchlan Thank you so much. I am glad to hear that you tried this. I have a Facebook group you can join to share your artwork. facebook.com/groups/thankfulart/
your art work is awesome...i have always loved art. i used to draw and paint when i was in my 20s but for some reason i've stopped. i actually went to the philadelphia art institute, but never finished...for medical reasons..seeing your art has made me regret not sticking with what was my passion...im 46 now but i hope its not too late to learn what i have forgotten..thank you very much...and keep making great artwork.
Cesar Mulero It's never too late to be get back to art. It's been a year since you made your comment. Have you created anything yet? I use to paint and draw and then not done anything for a long time. I'm back to it and I'm 52. There's no age limit on it. And If you've forgotten things then that's the great thing about TH-cam and the internet. There is plenty of help available to all levels of artists. I hope you feel inspired and are able to create and have fun.
Thank you for sharing your techniques and talent. I've only (very) recently taken up painting, and am thrilled with the result after watching this video and following your instruction. I wish I could post a pic. Thanks again, Angela!
+ca co If you are on Facebook you can share it with me in my Thankful art group. The links to all my social media are in the video description. So glad you enjoyed it!
This was my first Angela video, which I then went on to paint. I was so encouraged by Angela ' s gentle approach to teaching that I am now a huge fan of her and hubby, Mark. There are not enough words to say "Thank you."
I want to thank you very much for posting these videos. You have such a gift that I truly admire!! I love to paint, not exceptionally well, but I love to paint from the heart. I could never afford to take a class, so I really appreciate you sharing!
I've always wanted to paint. I recently took a drive up north and the changing of the trees really caught my eye. I've watched a few other videos but just wasn't what I wanted, This is gorgeous !!!!! I'm trying this first, before I try anything else. Thank you
Angela Anderson Im not much of a painter but your videos are very relaxing to watch. I love the way you paint and all your techniques. I don't paint as of now but when I do start I hope my paintings come out as good as yours
Oh my gosh...the whole bird! We have also done your nest and eggs on gigantic canvas..it taught me my stroke actually. Thank you so much for being so teachable to beginners.
I appreciate the time and effort you make to do these videos. I love to paint but have not a creative bone in my body so copying is best for me. Thanks for sharing your talent.
You are the best sponge painter. I hope you do more sponge painting videos ive watched all the ones you do have. I love the fact you use a sea sponge and that you use the right amount of paint and how much pressure to apply when painting, ive found other sponge paintings that people do but they mat it down like that yellow spot and it just makes the painting a mess
I know this video is a few years old, but still...thank you for making videos like these! I don't know how to draw or paint well, but following along with these and discovering that I *can* make nice paintings has given me confidence to keep painting and working to improving.
Love this ! The colors are beautiful . You make painting so relaxing . Your a great teacher . Would love to see you do more painting with a sponge maybe A lilac tree with a bench sitting right next to it and the moon . Thank you so much for taking the time out to share your talent .

Loved the trees, did with my daughter. Peacock painting would make my day and hers. They are all over st.louis and you teach so well...we are hoping you will do!
suzanne hunter Great idea Suzanne. I have done a peacock feather painting with my class and it was really fun. Do you want the whole bird in the painting or just a feather close up? I am so glad you tried my painting with your daughter! :)
WOW! what a stunning creation, even though not yours, you have an instinctively brilliant feel and creative nurture to interpret what you see - so many aspiring artists can spend their whole lives not knowing how to 'do' the simple movements and direction of own journey - only ever follow that of all others, even for basic inspiration - your works have definitive expression and individual meaning - why I love and embrace your gifted projects. .
I've seem plenty of your videos and they are all great. I love your techniques! I would love to see you do a video on impasto painting. Maybe a formal painting. Thx for sharing your talent.
