quick tip, with anything adhesive, like those things on the bathroom tile, take a hair dryer and just blast it on the sticker for a little while, it makes it so much easier to remove because it warms up the old adhesive. thanks for the inspo girl, im about to get started on my apartment on this nice sunday!
So thankful I no longer live the city life in Chicago and NYC - love being in a smaller city with hiking trails nearby, affordable apartments that are huge and friendly people. Could never go back to the stress of city life.

Be sure to get you a small 10 or 12 inch fan and point it towards your bathroom to cut down on those cleaning fumes...since you don't have exhaust fan or window. I love your cleaning routine. If you get too busy have you considered a housekeeper maybe 1x monthly for deep cleans? Just don't over stress yourself. You got me onto Factor meals they are great when you don't want to cook!❤
You lowkey inspired me to unpack my last few boxes (after moving in for like 8 months lol) now I'm down to one box to sort. Not from this video but the one or two before 😂. I already cleaned my apt Sat morning.. But I was like, Tisha is cleaning, so I can do my chore too 😆 Isn't so easy for the weekday chaos pile up and so much time to reset it on the weekend. And I dont have pets to care for and barely cook and my laundry is in unit, so a lot of props to you!
Hi Tisha! Yay !! I am now caught up on your videos. I enjoyed cleaning with you. In my bedroom I took everything off of my night stand and dusted it and put the clutter that has accumulated on my night stand. I don't know why I keep on doing that for.🤣🤣 I washed my dishes while you were cleaning in your kitchen and cleaned my stovetop also. I cleaned my bathroom Sunday while I had my chicken breast air frying and my veggies cooking on the stove. I swept and mopped my floors Saturday and took everything out of the left side of my bedroom closet. I swept and mopped the floor. Went through everything and gave away some flannel sheets- I don't use anymore - gave them to a friend of mine. I put my Christmas pillows in a storage container. I need to get a storage container for my Fall pillows I have a very long closet . The right side and the middle of my bedroom closet I had taken everything out and went through things. I took out all of my holiday decor out of the bottom shelf and got 3 storage containers for my holiday decor. I decorate for all of the holidays. I took my books out of storage containers and put them on the bottom shelf of my right linen closet where I had had all of my holiday decor . Everything is so much better I can get to my books and my holiday decor better and everything is so much better organized. Anyways thank you very much for the cleaning motivation. I admire you. Hey girlfriend, My bathroom has no windows either I went out and bought some cheap but cheeful art and bought stick ons to hang them, it looks great...maybe some art would look fab ...keep up the good work..love from lush London...P.S I think the living room looks perfect just the way it is....😘
I just did a deep clean on my bathroom last weekend lol It's never fun but always looks and feels so much better! Little tip from someone who also has a small bathroom and is sensitive to the smells and also has pets: definitely wear a mask when using harsh chemicals but also try more natural cleaners! I use plain white vinegar for just about everything in my house. It's a natural disinfectant and much safer. I use it on the sink, toilet, etc. For the shower, my mom discovered a mixture of Dawn dish soap, white vinegar, and water makes a great cleaner for the shower walls! I think she got it from Kimmy on She's In Her Apron. And Bar Keeper's Friend liquid version works AMAZING for cleaning the inside of the toilet. It also smells good lol
I love that Jhaape immediately jumps onto your workout mat and stays there watching you workout! He gets his toy and brings it right to the mat like that's his workout for the time being! Such a cutie! 😂 Edit: you literally just mentioned him taking half the mat after I commented this! Lol!

I missed it too!! I have been eating a lot of take outs lately. I think that’s one of the main reasons why I feel sluggish. I have been using dishwasher on and off. Majority of times I use it as storage and wash it by hands and sometimes I actually use it. In this vlog, I was using it as storage :)) Same issues as yours. The ac blows directly to the couch right now. He loves to workout with me 🐶
Tisha this was such a nice reset for your space. Have you considered putting a tension curtain rod in the opening of your closet? You can use it with pocket curtain panels which will allow the rod and curtain to fit flush within the closet opening. The way the previous tenant left it makes the room look smaller.

@@TishaShrestha Bringing curtain rods up higher always makes ceilings feel taller because it visually tricks the eye. Love that trick for window curtains. Not sure if it would work with the closet opening but you can certainly try. You can always change it if you don’t like it🙂

Hi Tisha, when you were cleaning I noticed the plants are next to the radiator/heater. In the winter I not before you might want to change the couch to the opposite side so you can put the plants where the AC is so the heat from the radiator will not kill the plants.

The soup dumplings and potstickers from Trader Joe’s are so good! Also, if you like cabbage and lots of garlic, their garlicky cabbage side (frozen section) is outstanding to pair with the potstickers or dumplings! And I like the new layout of the living room! Now you just need a cozy rug to tie in your colors, and some wall art! But the place really is so cute and has so much character!
Your new apartment is great, especially the natural sunlight. An occasional (little)mirror on the wall near the window could amplify that great sunlight. You seem to have a lot of vertical(wall) space for potential storage solutions. Have you considered a mirror on the wall with a shelf under it for a vanity....freeing up floor space. I can't tell if you're making use of the under the bed space. Risers are pretty cheap and they raise the bed enough for under-the-bed boxes to be used like drawers. They don't need to be pretty because your bedspread/comforter will hide them. I was in your position 50 yrs ago. It can be daunting, but you seem to be doing it well.

Boy, you sure did a deep clean! Mopping, scrubbing the stove, intense bathroom cleaning, that’s a lot! The weather has been so hot here in Oregon, but I haven’t done anything around the house, but I’m a very organized person so everything‘s in place. I just don’t feel like doing anything! I know Oregon is probably not like New York heat! But we’re not used to 104° here in the Portland area I love seeing your little dog jhopie! I know sweetie, doggie name not spelt right. I definitely need to write it down for future reference. I also wanna say you eat so healthy, good for you! I am so glad you have a new apartment and get so much light in from outside. You might want to put some plants or one of the large ones on the end of the sofa near the window to balance out the look. I've got new furniture coming in a few weeks so I've been reorganising and cleaning as well. Finally cleared out the 15 boxes of china and stuff I'm selling in our little sunroom so I can put our old couch there, It's only taken 18 months!!! The spare room looks like an antique shop, but it's good a start.

I spoke about this briefly in the most recent upload (if you are interested). I am still not used to the stairs (esp when it’s extremely hot or when I have a lot to packages) but tbh I am very happy with the decision because of the apartment & neighborhood

Not here to judge your choices because you probably don't yet have the knowledge, but cleaning with bleach and other chemicals it's not helping your thyroid/endocrine system and hormonal health at all. Cleaning is made so easy with a bit of vinegar, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid etc and you don't have to inhale the toxic fumes. If you don't want your dog to be inhaling the cleaning products, why are you? Always wear a sturdy mask and gloves, those products are getting absorbed into your skin while using them. Take care of yourself, health is so so important and you only realize it after having to go through a lot of medical procedures/treatments. I am enjoying your videos and have been here for a while :) xx
I understand the 'rabbit hole' mentality during work and everything happening with life, but when you can finally stop, you see your house is a mess lol. I have that happen every Sunday for me. I am not the best at keeping up with cleaning, it is something I should improve. But it is hard balancing life in general in our 30s, right? I forgot what it's called right now but that mop pads and your dog. Get a cedar mop an extra mop heads. Soak it in the sink after you're done washing with it rinse it out let it dry then stick it in your laundry. Also you should try OdoBan it is a disinfectant how much is the best of you ever used you can get it at home Depot Amazon eucalyptus one is pretty great. And I used the linen spray for my furniture and shoes LOL

I missed it too!! I have been eating a lot of take outs lately. I think that’s one of the main reasons why I feel sluggish. I have been using dishwasher on and off. Majority of times I use it as storage and wash it by hands and sometimes I actually use it. In this vlog, I was using it as storage :))

Tisha this was such a nice reset for your space. Have you considered putting a tension curtain rod in the opening of your closet? You can use it with pocket curtain panels which will allow the rod and curtain to fit flush within the closet opening. The way the previous tenant left it makes the room look smaller.

@@TishaShrestha Bringing curtain rods up higher always makes ceilings feel taller because it visually tricks the eye. Love that trick for window curtains. Not sure if it would work with the closet opening but you can certainly try. You can always change it if you don’t like it🙂

Hi Tisha, when you were cleaning I noticed the plants are next to the radiator/heater. In the winter I not before you might want to change the couch to the opposite side so you can put the plants where the AC is so the heat from the radiator will not kill the plants.

The soup dumplings and potstickers from Trader Joe’s are so good! Also, if you like cabbage and lots of garlic, their garlicky cabbage side (frozen section) is outstanding to pair with the potstickers or dumplings!
And I like the new layout of the living room! Now you just need a cozy rug to tie in your colors, and some wall art! But the place really is so cute and has so much character!

Your new apartment is great, especially the natural sunlight. An occasional (little)mirror on the wall near the window could amplify that great sunlight. You seem to have a lot of vertical(wall) space for potential storage solutions. Have you considered a mirror on the wall with a shelf under it for a vanity....freeing up floor space. I can't tell if you're making use of the under the bed space. Risers are pretty cheap and they raise the bed enough for under-the-bed boxes to be used like drawers. They don't need to be pretty because your bedspread/comforter will hide them. I was in your position 50 yrs ago. It can be daunting, but you seem to be doing it well.

Boy, you sure did a deep clean! Mopping, scrubbing the stove, intense bathroom cleaning, that’s a lot! The weather has been so hot here in Oregon, but I haven’t done anything around the house, but I’m a very organized person so everything‘s in place. I just don’t feel like doing anything!

Yeah the ac throws all the air directly to the couch...the only place i think the couch goes is either the previous or the current lyout. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know 🙏
Enjoyed your vlog. Wherever you decide to put the couch you need some artwork or a mirror over the sofa, the wall is big and looks bare. I am so glad you have a new apartment and get so much light in from outside. You might want to put some plants or one of the large ones on the end of the sofa near the window to balance out the look. I've got new furniture coming in a few weeks so I've been reorganising and cleaning as well. Finally cleared out the 15 boxes of china and stuff I'm selling in our little sunroom so I can put our old couch there, It's only taken 18 months!!! The spare room looks like an antique shop, but it's good a start.

I spoke about this briefly in the most recent upload (if you are interested). I am still not used to the stairs (esp when it’s extremely hot or when I have a lot to packages) but tbh I am very happy with the decision because of the apartment & neighborhood

Not here to judge your choices because you probably don't yet have the knowledge, but cleaning with bleach and other chemicals it's not helping your thyroid/endocrine system and hormonal health at all. Cleaning is made so easy with a bit of vinegar, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid etc and you don't have to inhale the toxic fumes. If you don't want your dog to be inhaling the cleaning products, why are you? Always wear a sturdy mask and gloves, those products are getting absorbed into your skin while using them. Take care of yourself, health is so so important and you only realize it after having to go through a lot of medical procedures/treatments.

I understand the 'rabbit hole' mentality during work and everything happening with life, but when you can finally stop, you see your house is a mess lol. I have that happen every Sunday for me. I am not the best at keeping up with cleaning, it is something I should improve. But it is hard balancing life in general in our 30s, right? You vlogs tell me that it is a common experience and at least we have each other. :)

I forgot what it's called right now but that mop pads and your dog. Get a cedar mop an extra mop heads. Soak it in the sink after you're done washing with it rinse it out let it dry then stick it in your laundry. Also you should try OdoBan it is a disinfectant how much is the best of you ever used you can get it at home Depot Amazon eucalyptus one is pretty great. And I used the linen spray for my furniture and shoes LOL
