Thank you so much. I spent a few hours trying to work out why the NM card was not being recognised by my phone. Pushed it in all the way and it was recognised. Thanks again.

THANK YOU! Much needed explanation for first time users. Was worried if I pushed it all the way in, it would get stuck. lol.

schoolboy error, as one says ;)
I do not own a huawei phone, so not of much help to me, however, I do have another question! How is that ProGrade SD card treating you so far?!
I need to get myself some new SD cards for my camera, and so far I have always been using Sandisk and Lexar. Happy with those ProGrade ones?

How are you fella? Good to hear from you. The Prograde is OK, I use it for 4k60p 150Mbps, nothing more taxing. They seem to work fine.

@@nezbrun872 doing well, thank you. How about yourself?
I'm looking for cards for cinema 4k at 400Mbps, so hence the question. I'm considering the ProGrade ones for that, but the price tag is a bit higher.

      @@WouterWeggelaar I can try them out, main camera is GH5 with 400Mbps 4k24p and 4k30p, for TH-cam I just prefer 150Mbps 4k60p: TH-cam transcodes 4k60p down to about 60Mbps and 4k30p down to 40Mbps anyway.

Which quawei device did you test it with? How much storage space did u have left on your device when u got the less write speed, how much applications is installed in your device? All these factors plays a big part in determining if your device will achieve that write speed I've seen a TH-cam video exceed 90mbps

Huawei just tried to reinvent the wheel. There was no need to do this, it has just added to the cost of owning a Huawei.
I've got a P30, do I really want to be spending another £70/£80 for a memory card? The answer is NO!
I believe this will have will have just added to the difficulty Huawei is facing at the moment with the US sanctions.

I have just got hold of the new P40 Pro and it is a nice phone. Everyone on here seems to tallk about the photography side but a word of warning to would be buyers. Think music. I have around 1,000 cds which I used my surface pro 5 to convert to wma files and now store them on my QNAP NAS. I thought, silly me, that I could use windows explorer to copy files from the NAS via my surface pro onto my P40 Pro and then from there to the, just bought, GT2 watch. I could do this with my old android mobile (LG G6) and previous Windows mobile. I am stupid. 1. You can´t play wma files on the P40 Pro they have to be MP3. Also Windows Explorer won´t work and the file explorer software on the Huawei apps are useless. So I need this card reader to copy my music (when I have spent months converting them all) onto my phone. Then onto the watch. I have tried using QFile from QNAP but that copies but doesn´t let you decide where to put them. I hoped on my NM card but no, so I have to try and move them from the main memory to the NM card. Huawei have Fxxxed up making it so difficult and also not playing wma files. Payng around 1,000 euros for a mobile you do expect it to play standard file formats. Good luck to you all. wma files wouldnt be considered standard would they?;p to be fair i can think of 8-10 formats that are more standard/common than that steamy turd of a format :p didnt even realise windows was still a thing!! 😳😱🤯😭😭🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

@@juancazaly2359 I use vlc pretty sure that would play them. And I've heard the best is to use a network transfer app, rather than the shitty windows transfer protocol. Anything microsoft is involved with is crap.
