Hey, Robo! Just wanted to thank you for all your reviews and the entertainment you provide with them. I have a surgery on October 30th to remove some cancerous growths and fix some back issues, and I’ll be laid out for a good week or so. I’m planning on rewatching your reviews while in the hospital, to keep me sane and entertained through it all! Keep on keeping on!
The details the Robbo gives us about the figure physically shows that he just doesn't get the figure to review but also gets into the feel of it! Love the vid❤👍
3:21 - Gossamer! That's what I was thinkin', just black instead of red. Always loved that Chuck Taylor's wearin' monster. From my old man memory, I think Witch Hazel created him. Wade certainly doesn't know Looney Tunes...he's a Disney Princess.
I love the Table Museum figma figures, the Toywolf Transformers, the Hello Kitty and My Melody Chogokin Mecha, the Beargguy Bandai HG model kits and loads of other "out of the box" action figures. I have a shelve dedicated to this kind of figures in my collection so I had this Space Invaders figma preordered. Even though I ended up canceling the preorder I actually though about buying SP-125 a couple of times since it was released but now that I've seen this review I'm happy I didn't. Thanks for the review Robo you helped me saving some money I would probably end up regretting.
Aside from the novelty of making a figure from the cabinet art, I think it’s also interesting that it was released by Figma, rather than by Square-Enix themselves (who now own Taito). It’s pretty rare these days that they let someone else make collector-grade articulated figures of their games.
If they did that, it would be even more expensive. You can literally buy a whole Playstation and Final Fantasy 7 remake for the same price as the 4 figures from the game.
#TrueFacts. The only PlayArts Kai figures I have either came with the fancy collector’s edition of a game or were in pretty deep clearance. And the joints are pretty disappointing, too, compared to smaller scale Bring Arts/Figma/Revoltech.
For sure this figure is to expensive for what it is. I love figma, they are one of my favorite, if not my favorite action figures, but they have gone crazy with price lately. When I first started collecting them several years ago, they were all around the 40-60 dollar mark. These days they are more like 70-100 dollars. Just nuts for how small they are, which is my only real complaint about the figures themselves.
Yeah I was excited for this, until I looked at the size, it's kinda puny : T Stiiiiiiiill the sculpt is good and there's some novelty but I just could not afford that price
Great review, thanks for taking the bullet for the rest of us. Glad I cancelled my pre-order, I’m also a classic game restorer/collector so they almost got me. This is way overpriced for the size and what it is, they could’ve at least come up with some fun accessories to pack in. Cancelled my pre-order for their upcoming Galaga/Galaxian ships as well, they’re even more expensive and look small.
Funny, I debated this because A. played a ton of Space Invaders, too, and B. I review all kinds of monsters on my channel, but ultimately skipped the preorder. Sent for some stuff from Hobby Search this morning, then saw your thumbnail and was like dang I should have gotten that! Now, hmm, not so sure. Still, maybe on a deal at some point? (or if you're looking to unload at a discount, lmk! lol) And I totally know the feeling of, why'd I get this again? But hey, at least you got that intro out of it!
Anything over 6 inches is large for that brand. Keep in mind most Figma are teenage Japanese girls, so they tend to run on the smaller side. I love Figma, but they've gotten super expensive in the past few years, and the outbreak jacking up shipping prices hasn't made it any better.
Video game shelf!! After Godzilla, arcade fighting games and art is what makes me spend money lol. This is a cool release that I was considering, thanks as always for the review.
They should do the figure up in a buncha different colors, because, if nothing else, all the different colors would invoke that "color" version of Space Invaders where they just stuck the colored plastic film over the existing arcade cab screen.
Pretty cool figure, maybe I can get it second market for a cheaper price point once people realize what it’s actually looks like and decide to get rid of it. You should go on Marvel at my Toys videos as a guest, help him grow!
It looks like the character called the heap from early marvel, before the fantastic four years, by the awesome Legendary unmatched king Mr Jack Kirby himself. It makes me want to buy one just because of that. And yes I played the original space invaders arcade game in ... drum roll please 1978/79 ish which means I am freaking old. So if you comment back PLEASE SPEAK UP SONI CAN HEAR YOU YOUNG FELLOW.👍
It looks like a cool figure, but like people are saying, it’s way too small and way too expensive....I also had a Atari 2600 when it came out...we old robo!!!! Sigh...great review as always!!! Thanx
I think I need to see a red version to be a Gossamer figure. This seems like a figure that would be good to have as a giant character so it’s always looking down
Figma figures do look great but they are just too expensive & hard to get hold of. I recently got a fake Bloodborne figure for £25 and honestly, it's great and worth the £25 i paid. However I really the Sekiro figure but it's £90 - just can't justify that on a 6" plastic action figure
Neat, but its a little too abstract and expensive. And thats coming from someone who mostly collects video game figures. ...I guess if you want something that kind of looks like a scooby doo monster this might be for you lol.
This might look good as a villain in a Scooby Doo display
If you take the hood off will it expose the disgruntled sacked ex - janitor??
@@fortyfour1654 That or the eccentric owner of the carnival.
I can only imagine what robo looked like doing that intro 😂
This feels like perfect monster for any hero to fight! It'll go well with Power Rangers I think.
My thoughts exactly

@@MrGreen19 Thank you!
God bless you man, everything will be okay.
@@raulromero6399 Thank you!
Good luck!
"I'm gonna need more alcohol" was everyone at the start of quarantine
Pot
That thing reminds me gossamer, the red monster from the looney tunes
Yeah, like his evil twin
Dude, highly articulated looney toons. Just imagine

Love the vid❤👍
Dodged a bullet, I canceled my preorder for this awhile back just due to downsizing, good review

I’ve been waiting for somebody to review that figure! Ty!

Great coverage! Stumbled on this figure and this helped a lot to gauge the size.

Can just be a random starwars character lol back round cantina stuff
We got an Anti-Gus now everybody!
robbo you r the best
That's true!👍

I love how it looks, but at the price I can get other stuff that I'm sure I would love as well.
I rather expand my SH figuarts DB collection.
I think 7 inch scale could have helped this guy a lot.
I want to add wings and make Mothman ... he is perfect for Mothman.

in an old atari 2600 ad they show the space invaders above somebody's house and they're about 6 - 7 feet tall

i painted mine with a dark red wash and it looks so much cooler
The intros kill me every time.🤣🤣🤣
I think I’ll stick to my memories of going to a theatre playing the game. In between movies.

Why do i love this!?? Gossamer need a pair of sneakers
Damn! I thought he was bigger as well. I like the look, but wanted to see more from it.
I feel like if a customizer modified the upper torso/ head enough they could add a head with a joint and make a cool swamp thing or Clayface
They should do the figure up in a buncha different colors, because, if nothing else, all the different colors would invoke that "color" version of Space Invaders where they just stuck the colored plastic film over the existing arcade cab screen.
Nice Ramones reference
Yeah those smooth joints are a deal breaker for me
I dunno why yo. They actually let you pose shit, loll.
I forgot this existed until now
They got so caught up wondering how they could pull this off, they forgot to ask, should they pull this off
I can agree with that...
Now you need the space invaders spaceship:)
For $80 that should have been a little accessory; or have the sprite ships from the actual game as plastic cut outs at the very least.
7:11 "Space mans got nards"
Finally gus again
Simply cool.
Pretty cool figure, maybe I can get it second market for a cheaper price point once people realize what it’s actually looks like and decide to get rid of it. You should go on Marvel at my Toys videos as a guest, help him grow!
I really dig the design of this thing. If it were a regular $15-20 figure, I would be all about it, but at Figma prices, no thanks.
Id use it as some sort of species for a star wars display
Love this vid

This would be interesting for a Hedorah custom... If it wasn't so expensive.
It looks like a cool figure, but like people are saying, it’s way too small and way too expensive....I also had a Atari 2600 when it came out...we old robo!!!! Sigh...great review as always!!! Thanx
For as simple as it is....
It’s amazing.
I personally love this figure
It's a perfect B class enemy for Deku and Bakugo
Am I only who get a looney tunes vibe from this guy? It reminds me that weird red monster with tennis shoes, gossamer was it?
Missing the red shading like the cabinet art had
Lol my phone opens to new fwoosh episodes. I just turned on my phone
Whoa are the knees using something other than the figma joint?
The sculpt just reminds me of messy icing!
Idk what it is, but I wanna hug it !
Thanks for the video, Robo. I was curious about this figure, and now that I've seen your review, I'll pass. It looks cool but for the price, nope.
I think I need to see a red version to be a Gossamer figure. This seems like a figure that would be good to have as a giant character so it’s always looking down
You should make a video about figures that can touch their own butts with little editing and mixing. I'll wait for it!
You are the Beat eh en you are going yo make a Batman party day
I thought you'd do the exclusive armorer review of the star wars celebration today because You know #themandalorianseason2 tomorrow.
I wonder if Robo thought on how he sounded when he made the sounds in the beginning 🤔
the intro. LOL
Add some green to make swamp monster
Is there going to be a spaceship with a tiny little human inside?
Can we expect a review on the DC multiverse Merciless BAF wave?
If i was to get this I would just paint it red to make Gossamer
I want 2
Yeah I feel the same way when I buy a figure that I built up in my head
I instantly thought Scooby Doo villain
Lol guys the mcfarlane my hero heads are always changed so they now made the head and the neck together so you can’t swap heads
Now there’s no articulation on the heads
Can we get a "don't put it in your mouth" shirt from the Fwoosh ?
Gah, that's a good idea.
I think it would be better if you play some rush while posing him.
$90!?! Yikes!!! That’s 4 Mcfarlane DC Devastators plus Wendys.
Looks weird but it’s my kind of weird I want.
A.k.a. It cool

He’s a swamp wampa..a Swampa if you will.
I agree, totally not worth the cost for this figure.
Lesson learned
Lol this just looks like a hunk of messy plastic
This figure can only work with 3inch figures it seems
Odd toy. How do the eyes look under a fluorescent black light? 👍🏻
I see it's meant for naught to 3 sad onions.
Remember the Atari cheat for space invaders?
Hey buddy
Basically the Anti-Pete...
When I saw this for pre-order I thought - who do they think is going to buy this - and lo and behold ...
first comment oh yeah!!!!!!!
I like him. But not at that price point. For me that's a $30 purchase at best. But it is figma. So there's that.
That’s a pass for me .... For 80-90 it should have been bigger
Neat, but its a little too abstract and expensive.
And thats coming from someone who mostly collects video game figures.
...I guess if you want something that kind of looks like a scooby doo monster this might be for you lol.
“It’s gonna be a no from me dawg”
Those knees alone kept me from purchasing this. Your review made me even more glad. Not worth it to me.
All the comments suggesting ways to turn this into something cool really shows how pointless and unappealing it is
3rd
Those joints look ugly specialty when more companies are putting sculpts in their joints
Doing figma my hero academia
Wow. I’m disappointed. This does not look like the game at all. The game had such great graphics and this just looks meh.
