Great to see you returning to ride our beautiful mountains in Victoria. Every year I swear never again, but every year I find myself signing up again. Good luck, you’ll smash it (again).
@@ModerateCyclist Depends on conditions. If it is hot like last time then the goal is not to end up in an ambulance like someone I know. Otherwise just see how close I can get to ten hours.
Good work in 2024, I enjoy watching your videos whilst Zwifting. Good luck in 2025 and at the Peaks challenge. I hope to be able to ride the peaks challenge in 2026.
My suggestion for 2025 is more gravel biking. I enjoy your channel because you come across as someone who sincerely wants to improve and is making an effort to make that happen.
Definitely some more gravel adventures. But got to get the big grind done at the start of the year first. Thanks mate, much appreciated as always. I hope you saw my shoutout in the comments section.
Well done! The hard work paid off. See you at the Peaks 🙂
Thanks Steve! It's getting close now.

If you are local and able, then I say why not! Good luck to you too mate. What’s your goal this time?

Thanks dude. Happy to provide some trainer fodder. I know a lot of people targeting 2026.
Good luck in 2025!
Thank you! Exciting times ahead.
Hahaha great intro. You smashed the riding in 2024 mate!
Thanks JK! Look forward to seeing you out there in 2025.
@@ModerateCyclist See you at Peaks ;)
@ yeah boy, your 300 was gnarly
See you at Peaks!!!
Awesome dude. What are you targeting?
@@ModerateCyclist Sub10 is the goal... But Alpine conditions are unpredictable, so finishing is first priority.
Just focus on minimising stops. That is the biggest killer.
4w/kg is already very good and means you'd be at the front on any club ride.
There is always room for improvement. Until there is not 😜. That’s what moderate is all about.
I recommend thr Seven gravel race in nannup WA in May
Is this the one that Chris Miller bombed out of this year?

@@ModerateCyclist I did, thanks. The recognition was appreciated.
50 and less than moderate but live your content young fella
Thanks mate! Never upset being called young 😜. As long as you are getting after it, that’s the important part!
@ always after it. Off to TDU in a few days! Highly recommend if you never have. McCarrs is my local so will see ya round the place 👍🏻👍🏻
Jealous! It’s definitely on my list. MCR best local around IMO 😂
Do something different? Race CX? Work your way up to Paris-Brest-Paris?
PBP is 2027..
I wouldn't even know where to start with CX, but that could be fun. PBP looks insane. I am really keen to try something extended over a multiple days.
Will give Peaks another crack this year. Training hard for a finish.
This is your year Davo. Fingers crossed for moderate weather!
41 you say? How do you keep the grays away 😂from
This is my favourite comment of 2025 😜. Just good genetics I guess. Thanks for watching dude.
See you at peaks 2025 !!! Sub 9 hrs let’s get a group happening
Yeah boy! Going to need a rocket crew.
@ we can do it bro just get a good group and everyone working together …. And remember 3grams of carbs per kilo of body weight per hour !!!
@ I just did the whole loop on my own yesterday, in 10:30 …… we get a solid group we can do it !!!
3x78 = 234g / h. That is a lot. I am going to be targeting like 100g.
It can definitely be done. Good effort doing the recon. I wish I could do the loop on a Tuesday 😜.
