You should not use anti seize on new spark plugs. Most major brands like NGK, Denso and Champion advise against it. For instance, NGK spark plugs feature what is known as trivalent plating. This silver- or chrome-colored finish on the threads is designed to provide corrosion resistance against moisture and chemicals. The coating also acts as a release agent during spark plug removal. NGK spark plugs are installed at the factory dry, without the use of anti-seize. NGK tech support has received a number of tech calls from installers who have over-tightened spark plugs because of the use of anti-seize. Anti-seize compound can act as a lubricant altering torque values up to 20 percent, increasing the risk of spark plug thread breakage. If you insist on using anti seize, at least torque them with 20% less torque than specified to avoid ruining your threads :)

Great informational video, but I do suggest, after oil filter change, turn the engine over a few times without it firing up, to allow oil to get around the engine.
Then & only then start it up.

After watching so many of these videos on servicing outboard motors, it recommended “not” to use anti seize grease that has other metal compounds in them like copper, they will react with salt and destroy the motor housing that is made of aluminum. Mose just recommend to use a synthetic grease. Other then that this was a great video.

Eric great video as always! I have a 20hp 4 stroke tohatsu 2016. Prob 50 to 75 hrs on it. I changed the oil last December but that's all I've ever done to it. How often should I consider changing filter, lower unit fluid, plugs, and impeller? My pee stream is still as good as the first day I cranked it. Thanks so much for the great info on your channel!

feed the oil into the manifold with a vro pump and take it down range and blast to pieces to kill it, 4 strokes make good target practice though for my rifle, they are fun to destroy as i hate them, hehe
