On this Easter Sunday we thought we would take a bit of time off and go to the near by garden center
The plants there are spectacular
Charles decides he wants a plant for his bedroom
We go in search for lavender and tomatoes plants
We have received a parcel from a lovely Lady called Irene

I very much enjoyed your family outing to the garden center. Loved watching the children getting their Easter candy, Nice gifts you received. I bought my 24 year old son a chocolate bunny, I always have he's still my little boy. It is very important as your doing to teach our children to appreciate plants and flowers and to discover the joy in watching them grow and produce flowers or vegetables and fruit. Great job! Tip: for the long leggy tomatoes plant the stem deep and you'll make a strong anchored plant and the tomatoes will sit upright ready for training as it grows.

Happy Easter. Happy family outing. If you plant your bouganvilla in a large decorative pot, you could bring into a sunny room in winter (using a hand truck), and enjoy on the patio when warm enough.
It's so great to see you doing the simple things with your children like planting in the garden. It's great memories they will have forever. Love & blessing from 🇺🇸 Basil 🌿 is my favorite herb. I had a garden once , it was 3m x 1.8m I had corn, watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes, summer squash, and 3 rows of herbs. We lived by a huge city dump, and I went out to harvest and ALL my garden was gone! Rats 🐀 I lost my mind! I h8 rats and ours are the size of cats! We later found out our tiny yard was a rat subway, with tunnels everywhere! Thank God all we’re trapped. I didn’t go in my yard for 2yrs. I was so traumatized 🤣🤣🤣 Great Easter story, sorry🤣🤣 Edd make a frame and cover with plastic it works great. Like a tiny greenhouse. Great job on the gardening, teach them young and your children will have many valuable skills! Your great parents.

Hey Anna. The Bougenvilla needs to be cut right back in the late fall and kept in a sunny warm room until spring. I grow it every year. Mine is 9 yrs old now. I know your winter season is milder but check with a garden specialist to see if sheltered outdoor overwintering is possible. Compost soil with coffee grounds on top or broken egg shell will keep snails and tomatoe worms from the lovely tomatoes
