As a gardener..... cutting the grass short during a dry period is the last thing you should do. It will kill more grass, leaving bare earth. Grass should be cut to a minimum of three inches to produce a lush green lawn. When the weather cools a bit more, you should sow the lawn again, right on top of the grass you have now. You'll be steps ahead come next spring.
Adding an iron plate to the gates of the Passion Project was brilliant. It was sorely needed for the guests comfort. The iron gazebo was beautifully made.
Edd and Anna, I love your "passion project." You keep making thoughtful esthetic improvements which only enhance the value of le petit château. The lawn 🤖 robot is certainly a godsend, freeing up valuable time and energy.
As an Australian, I just love Anna & Ed's humour. RE: the lawn, you need Lawn Aerating; Either with an appropriately weighted Spiked Roller or better still Lawn Corer. This will help the lawn especially in the worn and patchy areas.
Looks nice. I would plant lavender around the pool instead of roses. It's so French and is so hardy and drought resistant. Also looks beautiful in photos.
I'm wondering if there is enough sun in that spot for roses to bloom. Still, it's a lovely idea. That Luba robot mower is great for freeing up your time for other projects!
Great idea having intimate weddings at the passion project. Love that pretty gazebo. Love your new plans with the pool fencing, roses around the gazebo and especially the new lawnmower. What a gem 🙌
The place looks great, when it comes into spring next year, cut the grass down to an 'inch of it's life, core it, then fertilise it, and it should come up a treat. I think a hedge around the pool will look amazing as well as provide privacy. Plant it in front of the bushes you have now closest to the pool. it will make the area look more formal and up market.
I like your new toy!! It did a great job on the grass, it's too bad your summer heat damaged the grass so much! I love the gazebo idea with roses . Your improvements are going to look great!!❤❤❤❤
Love the gazebo and the privacy gates. That robot mover will definitely make the grass and leaves easier to maintain. Loving forward to seeing the improvements 😍😘
Y’all are just making the Passion House better and better. Love the idea of columns around the pool❤. How about old fashioned street lights at the pool.
You two are amazing! I have watched you since your first chateau on Chateau DIY. Let’s not forget you also have a family life and a wedding business! You deserve a huge congratulations!
The property is such a treasure everything extra is a bonus and looks beautiful . The wee mower has done a great job cutting and clearing , when the lawn improves it will look even better . Great job guys /
So pretty, you all have done a great job on restoring this lovely property. These gates do look so nice. Love them. You all have worked so hard on this property. Smart, to use the robot mower!!! This will be an amazing location for weddings. All the best to you all on this venture. Wow that looks so good! Did a great job!
You could install water collection tanks behind your wall and camouflage them from neighbours. Collect water from the roofs in winter from gutters and save alot of money next summer.
It’s been great to watch you transform this lovely house. One suggestion is to bring the iron gazebo closer to the pool area or off the driveway side closer to the doorway and not so far to carry your cup of coffee.
Grass looking fab Edd even though you thought it was not listening to you at first😘😂Lots of plans going forward. Can not wait to see what it all turns out like . Loved watching Edd and Anna😘😘
Your new ideas for the passion project are brilliant and each plays a significant role in the upgrade. The concept of narrowing your focus on a particular niche of clientele and making very specific, targeted improvements makes so much sense. In many ways, the passion project will advertise itself as word spreads about the creative new amenities. I like the way the new lawn care and maintenance routines will be programmed, giving you more time to devote to other projects, Edd and Anna. All the best to you and your dear family.
Edd,Anna my loves. The passion project looks beautiful. The new grass cutting machine does a fantastic job. So glad everything is going great with you guys. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍾🥂🕊😇🙏🌞👍🇺🇸❤️🌈🌹
Hi Anna & Ed, It's been a while but I really enjoyed your intro to the Mammotion lawn mower. Innovation is the name of the game when it comes to making homeownership easier. Keep up the great work on all your projects. Mark & Scott
Those gates are beautiful as well as columns. You should get some good black dirt and mix it with grass seed and resprinkel the yard for fall because of rain in fall. Then you will have thick grass by spring.
Best thing I ever did was instal a spear point/bore in my garden when I bought the house. We pay for town water useage here and I can have a lovely garden without a huge water bill.
I wonder about wisteria. I totally agree. It looks gorgeous. I love it. But at least, where I live in the US, in pollinator season, it attracts bees and their pals making it wonderful for that purpose, but not practical for around a pool. Love you folks, and appreciate all you've done. I hope your dreams for this special place come ture.
We also have purchased the baby brothers of these mowers, we have 2 YUKA and Love them! they work great and are so easy to just set up and forget about.
Having the gates covered is awesome for guest privacy. I love your plans for the passion project. That mower is a game changer. I think you definitely need a watering system. It is a big job keeping a garden and lawn. Anna, it sounds like you got the back to school cold also. Take care, guys. You are thought of when you're not on. Any chance you will do dailies again?❤
Great idea to add the steel plates to the gates and a super idea to have the robot mower. Do you have robot pool cleaner like you have at the chateau, that would be great. A couple of suggestions that may be food for thought. We have just replaced loose limestone gravel on our garden paths with compacted limestone gravel and it is brilliant- looks pretty and looks perfect all the time. We also used it for a couple of seating areas and it works really well - would look beautiful in the gazebo. Another suggestion for your new flower beds is to buy bulk rolls of cardboard and cover it with mulch or wood chip. It would immediately look smart and you can cut into it and add planting as you develop the beds and it will suppress weeds between the new plants saving you time. Remember to wet the cardboard before adding the mulch. Over time the cardboard will degrade and disappear. Love the idea of the wisteria and columns.❤
Ask local friends, but I would re-seed the barest bits of your lawn just as the weather turns wetter. A longer growing period before next year’s summer will allow it to develop a better root system.
The gazebo looks lovely and provides a like private, romantic space for couples. I'd just like to suggest adding a walkway or stepping stones to make it easier to cross the grass to the gazebo. Ladies wearing heels with their wedding attire will greatly appreciate having the path.
All the you tubers I follow have been sponsored by the grass cutter..Roaming Wild Rosie; Chateau de Pernon; the Newby's; Rewilding Jude (refused it and regretted the decision). Thanks for the vlog, as always, a joy.
I absolutely love my auto mower have it about 2 years now , I’ve a different brand but same thing. it’s out there every day and the grass was a mess now it’s so even and lush it made a huge difference! And brilliant that you can change heights with the seasons. everyone always compliments it and is fascinated when they come into the garden by it 😂 It has a sensor when it comes across an obstacle it doesn’t recognise like children or small animals and that. Very small maintenance just swapping out the blades once a year and sweeping grass off every now and then .
Your gazebo is lovely. I love iron work. It's so substantial looking. The gates look good. Nice job! A sprinkler system is such a good idea, but there is no denying it requires constant upkeep. Sprinkler heads that don't pop up, heads that get broken, people who inadvertently step in the hole where the heads are and sprain or break an ankle. (My friend stepped in the hole and broke her ankle...twice!!!) If you set the grass cutter at 6 a.m. and then program the sprinklers for an hour after the cutter finishes, it could all be finished before your guests are up.
Thankyou for sharing another wonderful vlog. I like your peanuts hoodie Edd😊. These lawnmowers are incredible and yes unlike a man, when you’ve had enough you can switch them off 🤣😂😘😘
You might want to reduce the need to water too much by making some more borders with plants that can survive a the drought, and wood chips. Much more future-proofed. Summers are not going to get any wetter.
Edd, when you walked up to that wall at Vilna, I remembered when you built it. The upgrade plans sound exciting. If my lawn was any bigger than the postage stamp it is, I would get one of those mowing robots, because the one you have really did a great job.
Reseed in fall and put sprinklers in. Best time to sew grass is the fall. I had to last year, as the utility company tore out my flower garden strip at end of front yard to put in fiber optics.
I think you have just saved time and money. You should fertilize with a weed and feed and maybe seed some of the areas that have died. A sprinkler system will do wonders. Love your idea for small weddings. ❤
Keeping the grass slightly higher also keeps out weeds I believe.
That lawn is in dreadful conditiion already I doubt that it was ever fed
Adding an iron plate to the gates of the Passion Project was brilliant. It was sorely needed for the guests comfort. The iron gazebo was beautifully made.
Consider evergreen shrubs around the pool for privacy and a lush look all winter. Roses only look good when in bloom
Edd and Anna, I love your "passion project." You keep making thoughtful esthetic improvements which only enhance the value of le petit château. The lawn 🤖 robot is certainly a godsend, freeing up valuable time and energy.
The gates, door, and gazebo look beautiful. Privacy is so important. The Passion Project is a perfect place for romantic weddings. Great idea!
As an Australian, I just love Anna & Ed's humour.
RE: the lawn, you need Lawn Aerating;
Either with an appropriately weighted Spiked Roller or better still Lawn Corer.
This will help the lawn especially in the worn and patchy areas.
Love the changes you’ve made to the gates for privacy. The robot has done a really nice job on the grass!
You two create magic. So happy to see this project evolve
Looks nice. I would plant lavender around the pool instead of roses. It's so French and is so hardy and drought resistant. Also looks beautiful in photos.
Anna loves roses
I'm wondering if there is enough sun in that spot for roses to bloom. Still, it's a lovely idea.
That Luba robot mower is great for freeing up your time for other projects!
I wish I could afford this home.
It was a mess and Edd & Anna turned it into a beautiful mini Chateau.
I would but it for the pool alone.. stunning house ❤
I love the "passion project" - its the series that got me watching your channel. So happy that we'll be seeing some more of it going forward.
Great idea having intimate weddings at the passion project. Love that pretty gazebo. Love your new plans with the pool fencing, roses around the gazebo and especially the new lawnmower. What a gem 🙌
Love the idea of using it as a wedding venue x
The place looks great, when it comes into spring next year, cut the grass down to an 'inch of it's life, core it, then fertilise it, and it should come up a treat. a venue for more intimate weddings is a great idea!
Great idea for small weddings 👍😊👍❣️
Thanks Ed and Anna, always great work. 👍
I like your new toy!! It did a great job on the grass, it's too bad your summer heat damaged the grass so much! I love the gazebo idea with roses . Your improvements are going to look great!!❤❤❤❤
The robot has done a great job, thank you for sharing 😊
One of my favorite parts of your videos is the “bonus content/shots” we get during the ending song 🎶
I enjoyed watching the robot! It was quite relaxing and did a very good job.
Love seeing the Passion Project house!! ❤
All those addidtions will help give the place a more softer, lived in feel. You're onto something there.
Love the gazebo and the privacy gates. That robot mover will definitely make the grass and leaves easier to maintain. Loving forward to seeing the improvements 😍😘
The work you did to level and clean up the yard really paid off
Ring That Bell 🛎️🛎️
😊Love The Gazebo Edd Anna. Xx
I am in love with that mansion😍
Ed, I love how you want things done perfectly. I bet your home is clean as a whistle.
Probably because Anna does it. 😂
I watched Edd and Anna restore this big palace home. Edd digging the swimming pool and building the stone fence!! Amazing work🎉
Y’all are just making the Passion House better and better. Love the idea of columns around the pool❤. How about old fashioned street lights at the pool.
Larry the lawn mower is great. What a time saver and beautiful lawn maker!!
Lovely place indeed. Can't wait to see your plans. Would have been nice to see Louis make a cameo appearance though for all us old faithful 🌹
Ed & Anna I like your new idea for the Passion project. This would also be great for Anniversaries too. Special occasions. 🤗❤️🌹
I like the black out on gates for privacy hello Anna&Edd😊
You two are amazing! I have watched you since your first chateau on Chateau DIY. Let’s not forget you also have a family life and a wedding business! You deserve a huge congratulations!
Thank you 🙏
I want one! 😂❤
What a great use of the passion project!
I want a lawn robot! 😁🇺🇸

The gates look marvelous
Everything looks beautiful. Love the robotic lawnmower. Thinking about getting two of them myself. Enjoyed. Blessings.
Love the updates. I'm really surprised how well the mower works.
It’s been great to watch you transform this lovely house. One suggestion is to bring the iron gazebo closer to the pool area or off the driveway side closer to the doorway and not so far to carry your cup of coffee.
Wonderful idear , accommodation, venue.. everything in one place
Exciting plans! The gazebo is beautiful! You should show us a few pics of you two getting married! Thank you!!
Gates are great - really finishes off the entrance
Love, love the little robot ! Great job at the little house, the place is starting to look beautiful ❤❤❤
Grass looking fab Edd even though you thought it was not listening to you at first😘😂Lots of plans going forward. Can not wait to see what it all turns out like . Loved watching Edd and Anna😘😘
Love Mammotion Luba. I’ve had one since the Kickstarter last year and bought Luba 2 this spring.
Love the front gates they look great

Looking forward to the final restoration of the abandoned house in town.

You two work very hard as always! That little robot did a good job! I don’t have grass but if I did! Beats mowing!
Hope you get David Austen roses that smell divine!
Peter Beale roses are also fantastic
So nice to be back at the project , it really is special. So glad you are managing to keep it at the moment 🤗
Hi Anna an Edd love your homes lv ❤️❤️🇬🇧
I AM SO EXCITED TO HEAR YOU WILL BE DOING WEDDINGS....YAY ❤
Nice robot! ❤ Ed and Anna

edd anna everything you do is with passion and perfection and think of clients . When do you rest 🫶
We will be resting soon, a couple more clients and we can breath again!!!
Enjoyed the video!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

Everything that Ed and Anna “fix” turns out beautiful ♥️♥️
That's awesome 😊😊😊
Edd and Anna, Great ideas, very exciting!
I bet Jenny will have words for the robot when she sees it going! 😂
She already got a little fiesty when she saw the robot - Louis sent me a video!!

Amazing plans for your passion project. Good luck ❤❤❤
lol watching a robotic lawn mover who would ever believe this 20 years ago !
so nice property. hope you can use it for yourselves too 😉
Greetings from 🇸🇪😄
Great job by robot ❤
