Anna, if you put geraniums in a pot you can take them inside for the winter. I keep mine in a south facing room with glass doors. They usually flower once in the winter and then again in April. I have had mine for close to 10 years now. You csn also cut stems of the plant and put it in water or just a pot of soil and then you have new plants. It could save you a lot of money not having to buy geraniums every year. 🌸🌸🙂🇨🇦

The geraniums look beautiful. I was holding my breath while Luca went up and down those ladders balancing those planters in one arm. Our season is late here in the American Midwest too. We had beautiful thunder showers this morning. It looks nice for this week, so will get the planting started tomorrow.

I just love the yellow roses, so beautiful. Yellow and white are my favourite colours of roses. The flower boxes will look amazing when they are grown. Great job getting those all set up.. The buds on the trees here in Canada are just starting to open up and with the warm weather arriving now, the leaves should be out and lush in a week or so.
Anna, we know you love, love flowers. Have you tried propagating roses? And some rose bushes or trees needed to be trim for more blooms? Just a thought 😅.

If you pull them out when the weather cools and they turn brown but before a frost, shake the dirt off the roots, put them in paper bags or wrap in newspaper in bunches, then throw them in your wine cellar. Take them out in early spring , replant after there is not more threat of frost and they will come right back to life in a few weeks. Saves a lot of money.

The geraniums are amazing Anna. Maybe consider some Diamond Frost in between. Not sure if you can get it in France, if not I can send you some cuttings if allowed there. It makes a great accent plant to all plantings. It looks like snow in pots. I will send a pic once mine has started blooming. P.S. You need a Luca to help you daily.

I would have used the terrace wall to raise the window boxes eliminating the squatting while working.
Or even some saw horses. Anything to raise the pots so you don’t have to bend and squat. Beautiful pots!
Last year I took about 30 cuttings from my lemon geraniums and they all took ! I overwintered my other geraniums and most survived.
THe gardens are looking stunning.
